[p]Hey Parcel Inspectors! It's now been just over two weeks since launch and so I thought I'd drop an update with some of the fixes and improvements that have been implemented so far. Some more exciting stuff is coming soon, but for now I'm trying to get all the key issues and bugs ironed out.[/p][p][/p][h3]✨ Features[/h3]
  • [p]Added directional arrows to joiner, diverter, and splitter conveyors to better indicate the in/out directions during placement[/p]
  • [p]Stamps on envelope parcels now appear on the front, next to the weight class, rather than on the back of the parcel to make it clearer that these parcels do have Stamps[/p]
  • [p]Added a toast notification which warns of the required warehouse tier when trying to upgrade belts without the correct tier unlocked[/p]
  • [p]Added a "Q" hotkey icon next to "Pick up" when hovering over items that can be repacked[/p]
[h3]πŸ› οΈ Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where sometimes conveyor belts and machines would fall through the floor when dropped with right mouse button[/p]
  • [p]Fixed contracts requirements sometimes asking for parcels of a specific country, but the description incorrectly asking for the inverse[/p]
  • [p]Improved collisions in the inbound delivery doors to make it harder to get stuck[/p]
  • [p]Improved collisions at the edge of the inbound delivery doors to prevent small envelope parcels falling through an invisible gap[/p]
  • [p]Added some improvements to prevent pallets being pushed through the floor when opening attached delivery parcels[/p]
  • [p]When selling shop deliveries while attached to a pallet, correctly remove their references so you can continue to use the pallet as normal[/p]
  • [p]Allow parcels stuck inside/under the entrance to chutes to be picked up[/p]

The release date is finally here - June 20th! Thanks for all the support on the Demo so far! I appreciate all of the bug reports in the Steam Discussions, via the in-game reporting tool and on Discord. I read every single one of them and have been hard at work getting the final build ready for release.

Really looking forward to everyone giving Parcel Simulator a try next month!

Devlog #002 - May 2025

Hey Parcel Inspectors!

It's been a busy month for Parcel Simulator, with lots of new features and changes being worked on to get the game closer to release. I'm hoping to have a release date announcement coming very soon. Here's some of the stuff I've been working on:

[h2]πŸ“ˆ The Warehouse Must Expand![/h2]
The non-demo area of the warehouse has been expanded significantly, with many more expansions and lots more verticality for extra large storage racks. More space is something I hear demo players crave, so I've made sure that the full release warehouse has lots of expansions to build your conveyor setups into!



[h2]↗️ Splitter Conveyor[/h2]
The splitter conveyor will allow you to equally split parcels three ways to split up your storage. The splitter always prioritises empty routes, so even if one or more of the routes are full parcels will continue to flow.



[h2]πŸ€‘ Conveyor Upgrades[/h2]
The conveyor upgrade system has been implemented to allow you to upgrade existing conveyors to level 2 and level 3, increasing speed and other stats. Scanners can be upgraded to increase their scan speed, and conveyors upgraded to increase their movement speed.



[h2]πŸ”Ž Contents Inspection Improvements[/h2]
Further improvements have been made to the contents inspection licence in Parcel Simulator, including some better animations, a larger variety of items, and some QOL changes.



[h2]πŸ”’ Serial Number Improvements[/h2]
To make life easier when checking serial numbers, some invalid serial numbers will now be visually identifiable by looking for codes that are too short, or contain alphabetic characters (A-Z). The handheld serial number scanner has also been improved, to allow back-to-back scanning of packages to check for validity.



[h2]🎨 Conveyor Paint[/h2]
Conveyor belt paint will allow you to paint up to 10 belts per bucket, to make your conveyors more visually distinct from one another. πŸ”΄πŸŸ πŸŸ‘πŸŸ’πŸ”΅πŸŸ£



[h2]πŸ’Ύ Autosave[/h2]
Autosave will be enabled by default, ensuring that your game saves as you play. You'll be able to disable this in the settings, though, if you want to ensure that Alt+F4 doesn't save your progress.
