The wait is over! Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is leaving Early Access and stepping into its full release with Update 1.0 on April 17! This update is packed with new content and the long-awaited conclusion to Soulslinger’s journey. Let's dive right in!



[h3]Enter Trauma[/h3]

Brace yourself for the Trauma realm! Within its depths, you’ll face four new, incredibly challenging enemies, each embodying one of the first four stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargain and Depression. All four are much more powerful than any enemy you’ve faced before. For instance, Anger is an explosive powerhouse with devastating area-of-effect attacks that can wipe out the unprepared whereas Depression is unlike any enemy before, as it doesn’t attack. Instead, it slows you to a crawl with its oppressive aura, making escape almost impossible.


Survive these manifestations of grief, and you'll earn the right to face the ultimate adversary...

At the end of the Trauma realm, the battle you've been waiting for finally arrives. Victor, the enigmatic mastermind pulling the strings, is now a full-fledged boss fight, featuring never-before-seen mechanics that will test your skill, strategy, and determination. This is the final confrontation – do you have what it takes to take him down?



[h3]Introducing Craftable Tomes[/h3]

A brand-new crafting category is here! Tomes unlock new perks and ultimate abilities for each Essence, breathing new life into your combat strategies.

  • Tome of Fire – Unleash devastating fire-based abilities that make it much easier to set enemies on fire, as well as the Firestorm ultimate ability.
  • Tome of Lightning – Harness the storm to stun enemies much longer, and also unlock the Tempest’s Wrath ultimate ability.
  • Tome of Blood – Turns the Blood Essence into a powerful tool for survival, making health regeneration more viable than ever.
  • Tome of Poison – Inflict slow, painful damage with enhanced toxin-based attacks, and unlock the Plague’s Embrace ultimate ability.

In addition to the new perks, you can also combine the new utlimate abilities with the Bloodshed ultimate ability, creating some of the most powerful abilities in the entire game!



[h3]Trail of Ghosts Mode[/h3]

Looking for the ultimate test of endurance? The new Trail of Ghosts mode is an endless survival challenge where waves of enemies grow stronger with each round. The deeper you go, the greater the rewards – but beware, Victor's Army won’t be your only concern. Expect bosses and elite enemies to show up in overwhelming numbers, making every second a fight for survival. How long can you last?

Heya Soulslingers!

Sharpen your aim and brace for the best version of Soulslinger yet! You told us the game's optimization wasn't where it should be, and we listened. We've worked a lot to ensure your journey through the realms of limbo is much smoother! With this major optimization patch, we've vastly improved the game's performance, delivering a 2-3x boost in speed and fluidity. Both player and enemy bullets have undergone a major overhaul, now consuming minimal resources.

We've also tackled some of the more challenging bugs, from optimizing the physics of destructible crates to refining enemy behavior.

IMPROVED FEATURES:
  • Vastly improved performance, the game should overall perform 2-3x faster than before
  • Optimized all bullets (both player & enemy bullets)
  • Fixed a performance issue where the bullets of Keeper of Fire and Devourer enemies were not initialized correctly
  • Performed a major optimization related to the physics of destructible crates
BUGFIXES:
  • Fixed a bug where weapon pickups were sometimes automatically picked up when approaching them
  • Fixed a bug in the Outskirts where an enemy could spawn within a rock wall
  • Fixed a bug where the Stormcaller Revenant's indicator circle would remain on the battlefield after its death
  • Fixed a bug where the Blightbone Sapper in the second realm would be classified as 'spectral' and therefore suffer all debuffs of spectral enemies

MINOR UPDATE - VERSION 0.726

NEW FEATURES:
- Redesigned the 'Vengeance' gun, it is now called 'Hexweaver' and is charged if you use your active abilities
- The Hexweaver is now available by default

BALANCE:
- The Hexweaver deals 12 damage (instead of 7)
- The Night Quartet deals 35 base damage (instead of 27)
- Increased the base damage of the Soul Revolver (15->20) and Double-Barreled Fury (45->50) weapons
- Silver Defiler is now available after beating the King's Guard for the first time
- The Wraithshot is available upon entering the Outskirts
- All destructible crates are now outlined to make them easy to identify even from a distance
- Removed the Unclouded Eye relic and enabled outlines for all enemies by default
- Slowed down the attack of Windcaller Scouts

- Waypoints in Haven indicate if you need to approach Death before you can return to Limbo

- Improved level loading to eliminate stuttering that stems from loading maps

- Fixed a bug where a charged Hexweaver would not work with Quicksand Shots
- Fixed a bug where Soulslinger's hands were glitched in cut-scenes
- Fixed a bug where the Pirate's healing power purchase displayed the wrong value
- Fixed a bug where the shotgun would remain opened after casting a spell while reloading
- Fixed a bug where shadow damage was not dealt despite picking up the associated perk
- Fixed several bugs in the new arenas where enemies would spawn atop unreachable walls
- Fixed a bug where the electric bullet would not reduce ultimate ability cooldowns

Soulslinger Demo updated with additional Content and Optimizations!



Greetings Soulslingers-to-be!

In line with the ongoing completion and optimizations of the full game we've also updated the Soulslinger: Envoy of Death demo, so that it corresponds to the current status of the full version!

From now on there is a third weapon available in the demo (called the Hexweaver), there are weapon pickups with specialized perks during runs, and you are able to carry up to two weapons. We've also worked a lot on the balancing and performance optimization.

🔥 Update 0.718: New Arenas, Improved Weapon Handling, Polished VFX, And More!



Greetings Soulslingers!

As announced last week, update 0.718 for Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is now available! This update in general is about listening to your feedback, and make the game the most enjoyable experience possible.

As of now you can interrupt reloading and swap weapons, the weapon handling, accuracy and animations were improved vastly, new arenas have been added to the Land of Memories and the Outskirts, new conversations with NCPs have been added in Haven, and VFX got polished and cleaned up or removed (when unncessary). Furthermore we've added new, higher quality ones for the sake of easier readability (clarity) of the battlefield.

The 0.718 update brings many more new features, balance changes, improved features and bugfixes; here is the complete changelog:


NEW FEATURES:
  • Added new arenas to the Land of Memories and the Outskirts
  • You can now interrupt reloading and swap weapons
  • Added new conversations with NCPs in Haven
  • Added the Credits video to the main menu
  • Weapon FOV is now independent from the game and respects ultrawide resolutions as well
  • Added new sound effects for Voidcasters, Void Harbingers, Bandits and the Revenant Sheriff
BALANCE:
  • Significantly reduced the health of the Sentinel boss to make it less repetitive / easier to beat
  • Reduced the amount of enemies and damage dealt during a Victor's Army rush
  • Reduced the health of Victor's Army
  • Reduced the amount of enemies spawning in the Outskirts during a fight
  • Slowed down all enemy projectiles of enemies native to the Land of Memories
  • Slowed down the Cartel Brute's projectile attack
  • Even imbued shots can recharge ultimate abilities now
IMPROVED FEATURES:
  • Vastly improved weapon handling
  • The crosshair now responds to what type of object you're pointing at (turns red in case of an enemy or explosive, turns brown in case of a crate)
  • Reduced the recoil camera shake
  • Replaced the visual effect of the Devourer attack (the difficult mode ghost) to make it clearer
  • Added a guide particle effect to the chase map so it is immediately obvious what path you must take to reach the end
  • Added an option to disable the camera dust post-processing effect
  • Enemy death animations are much faster and do not have the spark effects anymore
  • Reduced the size of enemy projectiles or completely replaced their VFX for higher quality and better readability
  • Reduced the size and brightness of the electric dash/stun reload VFX
  • Replaced numerous visual effects for the sake of much better visual clarity during battle
  • Cleaned up collisions in ALL battle arenas, movement should be much smoother in general
  • Replaced the "Loading" texts with more immersive, world-specific texts
  • All of Death's clothing now has proper physics, preventing weird stiff cloth pieces
  • Optimized the game's memory footprint for less RAM usage
  • Adjusted/fixed the volume of weapon sounds
BUGFIXES:
  • Fixed a bug where shots were fired slightly below the crosshair
  • Fixed a bug where the electric bullet damage was not calculated based on the base weapon damage
  • Fixed a visual bug with the Wraithshot weapon pickup
  • Fixed a bug where shadow marks were not visible on enemies
  • Fixed a bug where battle shrines were visible when loading a saved game
  • Fixed a bug where the character's hand would be floating next to the shotgun
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to get stuck in the place where a Windcaller Scout was killed
  • Fixed a bug where enemies kept burning even after dying
  • Fixed a bug which caused shots to be inaccurate if firing rapidly
  • Fixed a bug where the dash input would sometimes not register, especially when dashing sideways
  • Fixed a bug where crates would be floating above the ground
  • Fixed a bug where the battle shrine would hide the ability icon from the bottom-right when upgrading a skill
  • Fixed a bug where replacing the currently equipped Wraithshot would cause the bullet ability to remain inactive
  • Fixed a bug where the second ability (spell) was cancelled because of switching weapons
  • Fixed a bug where the Sentinel would just get stuck and not fight
  • Fixed a bug where opening the Workshop while leaving Haven would lock the game
  • Fixed a bug where using melee while aiming down sights would cause weird animations
  • Fixed a bug where dealing melee damage to bosses could cause them to get locked in place
