With Throne and Liberty's first Castle Siege over, plenty of upgrades are coming

Throne and Liberty has continued to maintain its early momentum rather well, holding firm to its place among Steam's most-played games despite the launch of a new FF14 patch and the start of Ashes of Creation alpha two. With its first grand-scale Castle Siege event behind it, Throne and Liberty's globalization design manager Tico sits down in a new 'Tico talks' video to discuss community feedback and the team's plans for the remainder of 2024.

The most recent Castle Siege peaked at over 3,900 participants on the Stormbringer server alone. We saw nearly 45% of castles change ownership, while more than 40,000 players received Lucent. Our team can't wait to witness your future victories.

Throne and Liberty issues warning about new PvP mode before it's even out

Throne and Liberty publisher Amazon Games is warning players about an unintended strategy in Castle Siege events, before the PvP mode has even been added to the MMO. These colossal server-wide showdowns will pit guilds against each other in long conflicts, and they're supposed to incentivize working with your teammates to emerge with control of the game's castles. That said, it looks like the attackers are going to start with an advantage, so Amazon hopes sharing their strategy ahead of time can help defenders properly prepare.

THRONE AND LIBERTY Update 1.7.0

THRONE AND LIBERTY Update 1.7.0 downtime will begin at 10:30 p.m. PT (6:30 a.m. UTC) on November 13 and last approximately 4.5 hours. With the frightful conclusion of Haunted Harvest comes the start of Arena Season One. Reach higher ranks for unique rewards like a seasonal title, plus themed Dash, Glide, and Swim morphs.

Guilds that have control of Stoneguard Castle can now schedule Tax Deliveries.
Haunted Harvest is now over. Thanks to everyone that participated!
Arena Season One is now live. Ready your weapons as the rankings reset for a fresh climb to the top of the ladder.
Event Times: Regions with Daylight Savings Time changes (Europe and North America) have had their hourly event schedules adjusted to return events to the pre-time change hours.
For Peace-mode world boss spawns, new access portals will now appear at the entrance of open world dungeons to transport players to the boss location and avoid Night and Eclipse effects.
When using these access portals, players will be teleported near the boss portal selection area and placed under a 30-second protection effect.
Known Issue: The new Sanctum of Desire access portal appears inside the PvP-enabled border and will be adjusted in a future update. We recommend dash morphing to access this portal while under the initial 5-second protection effect for the time being.
Weekly Mission rewards adjusted to once again reset during the weekly maintenance window.
Accounts with negative Lucent balances will no longer be able to receive Lucent distributions from their guild.
Equipment: Extract items can now be compared with equipped gear to view the effective changes of applying the extract.
Equipment: The default keybind for viewing a piece of equipment at max enhancement is now ALT+G.
Skills - Dagger: Fixed an issue that caused the effect from the passive skill Assassin Step to carry over when changing weapons.
Combat: Enhanced the visual effects for Heavy Attacks.

Exiting a popup with the ESC key while viewing your inventory no longer closes the Inventory screen.
Fixed an issue when opening multiple selection chests that reset the quantity opened to 1 when clicking to confirm.
Applied the latest localization strings to correct various text length issues.

Free MMORPG Throne and Liberty nears a million max-level players in first month

We're one month on from the launch of new MMORPG Throne and Liberty on Steam. The latest MMO to be brought to the platform from Lost Ark and New World Aeternum publisher Amazon Games has found itself a solid player base so far, consistently sticking among the most-played games on the Valve platform. As Throne and Liberty update 1.6 lands, Amazon reveals some of the key stats from our first month in Solisium, and the game has already racked up an impressive head count of max-level players.
