NightSpawn Steam Playtest Begins – Join the Hunt

[p][/p][p][/p]
The hunt is about to begin.
[p]We are excited to announce that NightSpawn is entering its Steam Playtest phase, and we are inviting players to help us shape the future of the game. This stage will allow the community to experience the current build while providing feedback that will directly influence development.[/p][p]Access to the playtest will be granted in waves. This allows us to monitor performance, collect feedback, and steadily expand the player base as improvements are made. If you sign up and do not get immediate access, do not worry. Additional testers will be invited regularly as the playtest progresses.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
What is Included in the Initial Playtest
[p]The playtest begins with a solid foundation of content:[/p]
  • [p]2 Monsters[/p]
  • [p]2 Maps[/p]
  • [p]8 Investigators[/p]
[p]Players will be able to experience the core NightSpawn gameplay while we begin testing the next phase of content.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Content Being Introduced During the Playtest
[p]Throughout the playtest we will be introducing new features and expanding the roster. This includes:[/p]
  • [p]2 New Monsters[/p]
  • [p]2 New Maps[/p]
  • [p]8 Additional Investigators[/p]
  • [p]New abilities[/p]
  • [p]New skills[/p]
  • [p]Additional gameplay systems[/p]
[p]These updates will roll out gradually as we test balance, performance, and player feedback.[/p][p][/p]
New Game Modes Being Tested
[p]The playtest will also introduce additional ways to experience NightSpawn:[/p][p]4v1 Mode
Play as the monster and hunt investigators, or work together as a team to survive the night.[/p][p]2v2 Mode
A competitive team format where coordination and strategy will determine who survives.[/p][p]These modes are an important part of the playtest and will evolve based on community feedback.[/p][p][/p]
Why Your Feedback Matters
[p]The Steam Playtest is more than early access to the game. It is an opportunity for players to help refine mechanics, balance monsters and investigators, and improve the overall experience.[/p][p]Every match played and every piece of feedback helps us improve NightSpawn before its full release.[/p][p][/p]
The Road to Full Launch
[p]Once testing and feedback are complete, NightSpawn will transition out of the playtest phase and move toward full launch.[/p][p]At release we will also be preparing additional content, including:[/p]
  • [p]A 5th Monster[/p]
  • [p]A new Map[/p]
  • [p]4 additional Investigators[/p]
[p]The playtest is only the beginning, and we are excited to build NightSpawn together with the community.[/p][p][/p]
Join the Playtest
[p]If you are interested in joining the hunt, make sure to request access to the NightSpawn Steam Playtest. Invitations will be sent in waves as we expand testing.[/p][p][/p][p]Gather your team, sharpen your instincts, and prepare to face what waits in the dark.[/p][p][/p][p]The night is coming.[/p]

OPEN BETA WEEKEND #3

[p][/p]
Join players in our next beta test. Help us identify bugs, test game connection and experience new monsters and characters before official launch.
[p] [/p]
Beta weekend dates:
[p]Starts: Friday, December 19th @12am EST | 5pm GMT[/p][p]Ends: Monday, December 22nd, @ 12am EST | 5pm GMT[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Features
[p]In this beta weekend update, you’ll be able to face off against The Noble. He was our original monster during early development. With the growth of the game, many of his features became outdated. The Noble has now been fully updated to the latest AI system, featuring all new visuals and abilities.
[/p]
Visuals Updates:
• [p]Improved visuals with a new model[/p]
  • [p]Updated animations[/p]
  • [p]New FX systems[/p][p][/p]
Evolution System
• [p]As the Noble grows in power by drinking blood, his abilities get stronger[/p]
  • [p]The Noble get visually younger the more blood he drinks[/p]
  • [p]Damaged players drop pools of blood which the Noble can collect[/p]
  • [p]Drinking the blood of a grabbed player gives him a large chunk of blood contributing towards his next evolution[/p]
  • [p]The Noble can evolve up to three times[/p]
[p][/p]
Abilities
• [p]Shadowstep: The Noble takes shadow form, allowing him to dematerialise and rematerialise anywhere he wishes. Though he is slow moving in general, the ability to teleport allows him to cut off players at a moment’s notice.[/p]
  • [p]Dark Swarm: The Noble unleashes a swarm of bats to attack any player they hit. The bats can be dodged. If a bat contacts a player, it will stick with them for a short while, dealing continual damage.[/p]
  • [p]Passive Swarm (Evolution 1): At his first evolution, the Noble gains a passive swarm of bats around him that automatically attack any investigators which get too close.[/p]
  • [p]Summon Fledgling (Evolution 2): At his second evolution, the Noble can summon a minion to do his bidding. This minion will passively guard the area into which it is summoned. The Noble can summon up to three minions. Summoning more than the limit destroys the oldest. Fledglings can be killed with fire or other offensive tools/abilities.[/p]
  • [p]Command Fledglings (Evolution 3): At his final evolution, the Noble gains the ability to command his fledglings to rally at a location of his choosing. Perfect for cutting off the escape of an investigator.
    [/p]
Counters
• [p]Wolfsbane[/p]
  • [p]Molotov Cocktails (Fire)[/p]
  • [p]Holy Water - New throwable constructed at the workbench requiring scrap and a Bottle of Water. Will banish monsters on contact.[/p]
  • [p]Hand Mirror - New items which spawn in containers. Finding a hand mirror allows you to save yourself if grabbed if you can complete the minigame in time.[/p]
  • [p]Bear Traps
    [/p]
Twenty Below Characters Unlocked
• [p]This weekend, players will have open access to the investigators belonging to the Twenty Below map (which is the home map for the Noble). Experiment with those character’s abilities and perks to find a playstyle which works for you.[/p]
[p][/p]
New Tutorial
• [p]We are keen to help new players hit the ground running. Take a look at the all new tutorial providing more advanced information on how to play.[/p]
