November Playtest Build Notes

Here's WHAT'S NEW for the November Playtest:

• Storm mutator balancing
 • Wind push effect while on land was reduced significantly
 • Wave amplitude was increased by 25% while the storm is active
 • Lightning strikes are now slightly less attracted to players

• Enemy balancing
 • 'Goomers' (green exploding Sumi) are now easier to kill in single player, and harder to kill with 4 players
 • 'Brawlers' (large arachnid Sumi) are now part of threat level enemy waves. They're faster and their attacks reach further
 • 'Brawlers' now have less HP
 • All large enemies are now more resistant to knockback effects

• General balancing
 • Game difficulty was generally lowered for single player
 • All Ultimate slot skills had their cooldown increased by 30 to 50%

• Anchor weapon balancing
 • Basic attacks are now 7% faster, but deal 10% less damage
 • Chain whip attacks now don't cause the player to move forward, so they can more effectively be used to remain at a distance

• Sword weapon balancing
 • Feast's Fiery mod nerf: Cooldown reduction is now 30% (down from 80%)
 • Pommel Strike: Fixed an issue where the Cooldown mod didn't bestow its effect
 • Whirlwind now lasts 40% longer

• Server selection is now accessible from the Title Screen
• Removed the hard time limit on Missions
• Added Simplified Chinese language option (v1)
• Fixed a bug where players in China couldn't load the game. It should work now if you play via the Hong Kong server
• Changed Quest ordering to allow smoother difficulty ramp up
• Teammates' Quests are now visible to all players
• Added beachball toys on the Beastship
• Improved online join flow

• New/Improved Art
 • Water now reflects sunlight, has foam edges, etc.
 • New Anchor & Guitar skill VFX
 • Vegetation art pass on islands

• New UI/UX for HUD & Forge
