Titan Talks and Hotfix Roundup February 27th


Here is what you may have missed over the last 24 hours. First up a quick summary of yesterday's Titan Talk where Isiah and Kilgoon went over a ton of in development and upcoming features and content!
Upcoming Events & Developer Roadmap
  • Friday (Feb 28): A roadmap update featuring the next wave of God releases and content cadence.
  • Monday (Mar 3): Full reveal of Princess Bari, including a kit breakdown by Pon.
  • Future Guest Appearances: Upcoming episodes will feature Kellen and Ben discussing art and game direction.
Recent Hotfixes & Bug Fixes
Multiple patches have been rolled out over the last 48 hours, addressing key issues:
  • General Fixes:

    • Aladdin’s AO2 canceling consistency improved.
    • Bloodforge re-added to the item shop.

    • Fix in progress for Prophetic Cloak (previously exploitable for infinite protections).

    • Purchase button restored for store/featured page skins.

    • Map pinging while moving no longer halts movement.

    • Gods on rotation now correctly sort at the top of the Gods page.

    • Fix for persistent Trade Blocked status in draft lobbies.

    • Missing descriptions for recent balance changes added.
    • Meditation relic now functions correctly in Assault.

    • Artemis’s non-aspect traps now stack correctly.
    • Xbox crash fix deployed based on player reports.

Community Q&A Highlights
  • VGS Issues: Developers are investigating recent issues with the VGS system. Additional player reports are welcome.
  • Classic Skin Pricing: Classic skins were previously at a sale price. The new pricing reflects intended long-term value.
  • Wandering Market Expansion: Unlikely to exceed four pages due to balance between value and pricing.
  • God Token Adjustments: More God tokens will be added as the roster expands beyond level 50.
  • Co-op AI Enhancements:

    • Easy AI is being tuned for new players.

    • Medium and Hard difficulties are in development.
  • Godbuilder: Not included in the next update but remains a work in progress.
  • Item Store UI Improvements:

    • Upcoming update will make consumables easier to access.

Game Mechanics & Balance Discussions
  • Magi’s Cloak: Fix incoming for unintended activations (e.g., Ymir’s Rocket Jump breaking his own bubble).
  • Anti-Proxy Tech: Developers are collecting feedback on potential adjustments after the initial wave of changes.
  • Displacement Interactions: Awilix’s interactions with CC and knockups are under review.
  • Denying Minions (Dota-style): The team believes this mechanic does not align with Smite 2’s action-oriented gameplay.
  • Polymorph Abilities: More gods with polymorph mechanics could be introduced in the future.
  • Death Animations Visibility: The idea of showing death animations only to the defeated player is under consideration.

Hotfix Roundup February 26th

Below are changes we've made to SMITE 2 over the last 24 hours!

Note: We are currently looking into an issue with god rerolling in Assault Bench.


  • Put in a potential fix to address an outstanding Xbox crash
  • Fixed an issue where the Purchase Diamonds button wasn’t working on the Chests screen.
  • Put in potential fix for issue where Draft Lobby team widgets are not showing up
  • Fixed an issue where in certain situations Artemis Vengeful Assault was not applying correct attack speed level
  • Fixed an issue where rebinds of 2 individual inputs would reset when logging back in
  • Added missing Localization
  • Added a filter for 'On Rotation' to the God page
  • Fixed an issue where Magi's Cloak was activating from self (example: Ymir Wall rocket jump)

Isiah and Kilgun were there for another edition of Titan Talk as they dive into the latest updates from Open Beta 4, including the new gods, items, and aspects. [h2]Open Beta 4 Launch Highlights[/h2]
  • New God: Artemis – Unleash the Huntress! Her full kit is available now for you to explore.
  • Thor Aspect – A fresh take on the God of Thunder. Perfect if you want to shake up your Thor gameplay.
  • New Items & Reworks – Three brand-new items plus a reworked Typhon’s Fang; check them out in-game or read detailed patch notes for the scoop.
  • Quality of Life – This launch was smoother than ever, with only a handful of known issues.

  1. Bloodforge Missing
    • Currently not in the store; the team is investigating. Expect a hotfix soon.
  2. Meditation Bug in Assault
    • Not functioning properly. A fix is in progress.
  3. Penetration Changes
    • The changes are live, but some in-game text is outdated. Non-English clients may see text in English temporarily.

  • Tank Viability – Early high-level feedback suggests tanks feel better but still needs more data. Share your thoughts!

  • Fixed an issue where Aladdin A02 was difficult and inconsistent to cancel

  • Readded Bloodforge to the item shop

  • The Purchase button will no longer disappear from the Store/Featured page if you select a skin you own. 

  • Pinging the map while moving will no longer cause the player to stop moving

  • Gods on rotation should now sort to the top at the Gods page

  • [Draft Lobby] Other players will no longer persistently show as trade blocked on a trade popup after youI decline their trade request

  • Removed a ghost red dot on the Player Profile.

  • Added missing descriptions for recently balance changes

Open Beta 4 is Now Live!


Welcome to our Open Beta 4 update! This patch features the highly anticipated return of Artemis from SMITE 1—reimagined and ready to conquer the battleground in SMITE 2.



We also have a fresh lineup of Cross-Gen and Classic skins making their way into the store, including Foxy Amaterasu, Baron Frostchild Ymir, La Roca Hercules, Summer Fun Medusa, Hellforged Thor, Lil Bites Sobek, and Nano-Mancer Baron Samedi. Some of these skins can be purchased with Legacy Gems, while the Boss Man Danzaburou skin returns as a Divine Legacy unlock for those who earned it in SMITE 1.

Thor is also receiving a brand-new Aspect, allowing players to alter the God of Thunder’s gameplay for a truly unique experience. If you haven’t played him awhile, it might be time to put him back in the rotation.

Looking ahead, Awilix is set to arrive on March 3, bringing her dynamic combat style to the roster.     • General
      • Deals Physical Damage
      • Strength Scaling
      • Ranged Basic Attacks
    • Passive: Still Target - Artemis deals 15% increased Basic Attack Damage to gods and 30% to minions that are affected by Crowd Control
      • New: Artemis is able to detect nearby enemy gods in stealth grass.
    • Ability: Transgressor's Fate - Place a trap on the ground. Enemy gods that come in contact with it activate it, Rooting, Crippling, and repeatedly dealing Physical Damage over 3 seconds.
      • New: Added motion to the enemy version of the trap to make them easier to see
    • Ability: Vengeful Assault - Greatly increase your Movement Speed and Attack Speed. 
      • New: While the buff is active, gain a charge each time you hit an enemy god with a basic attack. After reaching 4 charges they are consumed, extending the duration of the buff by 3s.
    • Ability: Suppress the Insolent - Fire a volley at the target area dealing Physical Damage and Slowing enemies.
    • Ability: Calydonian Boar - Summon the great Calydonian Boar that charges the nearest enemy god. 
  • Aspect: Aspect of the Wild
    • A01 (Transgressor’s Fate)
      • Transgressor's Fate no longer roots or cripples gods but can now target minions. Triggered traps now also heal Artemis and deal damage to enemies in a larger area.
