Development Update #3: Happy New Year!

[p]Hey folks! I’m Gabriel Schade, the solo developer behind Elidriel.[/p][p][/p][p]Wishlist Elidriel if you like what you are reading: [/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][h2]First things first, I'd like to wish you a Happy New Year, with this Ada fan art! [/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In the first two updates, I've been sharing new art and graphical assets, those updates are continuing, but there are more things that I'm really excited to share![/p][p][/p][h2]Kell Battler Graphics Update[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]After updating Kell's character and Artwork, it felt that his battler needed to change as well, the art no longer fit as well as I'd like, therefore, there is a new Kell in battle![/p][p][/p][p]That's not all, he also got new abilities! When affected by his super strength talent, it can cause additional damage by PUNCHING your enemies! Provided you do your part by hitting the quick-time event, of course![/p][p]
[/p][h2]Pixel Movement[/h2][p][/p][p]I was a little tired of the grid-base movement for a while, so I decided to do something about it. From now on, Elidriel is using Pixel-based movement, having a waaay nicer feeling when moving our party around.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This required some workarounds to make sure the exploration still works in all shapes and forms, because as you probably know, we have to keep swimming, climbing and all of that, right? Development Update #2: More Graphical Updates

[p]Hey folks! I’m Gabriel Schade, the solo developer behind Elidriel. As promised, let's try to make it a tradition: more monthly updates about the game! [/p][p][/p][p]In the previous update, I've shared the menu and characters arts, but that's not the only graphical asset that I'm changing, everything is being polished to reach the end-game quality![/p][p][/p][p]Let's take a sneak peek on our brand new HUD and in-game character graphs![/p][p][/p][h2]A Brand New HUD[/h2][p][/p][p]The HUD graphs were updated to be more harmonical with the menu and the other assets.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]New Character graphics![/h2][p]And for the first time, the new in-game character graphics![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]As I've mentioned in the previous post, Elidriel is now fully playable in crisp Full HD (1080p), so you can enjoy the new visuals at their best.[/p][p][/p][p]I'm really excited about everything that is coming![/p][p]The steam page will change completely and a brand new demo will be available soon![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much for following along and supporting this journey.[/p][p]Until next time, [/p][p]Gabriel - Solo & Passionate Indie Game Developer[/p]

Development Update #1: Hit Refresh - Characters Redesign and new UI

I’m Gabriel Schade, the solo developer behind Elidriel. Starting today, I want to begin a new tradition: monthly updates about the game! [/p][p]The page has been quiet for a while, and I’m excited to change that.[/p][p]I’ve been working really hard on Elidriel since the demo first launched, and now I have some exciting things to share with you:[/p][p][/p]
Our beloved characters received a full redesign with brand-new, polished artwork!
[p][/p][h2]Ada[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Helena[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Kell[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Erling[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Emmy[/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
To match the new art style, the menu also got a complete visual update.

Elidriel - Major Update

Helena


Helena is a brand new playable character, with a unique parry ability! This ability will prevent the entire damage and perform a counter attack right away! It's all up to you as a player to be able to react as quick as the damage would be dealt.



Helena is a part of the group during the demo version and can be used as any other character! But she is insanely strong, she can even beat dragons. But wait, wasn't she a foe?

New ways to explore the world


Now it's possible to explore Elidriel's world like nothing before!

You can swim across lakes and rivers, climb mountains and cross narrow places that requires concentration and balance!
