BALLTAG Patch 1

  • [p]Private matches! 
    New button in the Balltag elevator sends you to a private match.
    That means no one but you and whoever you went in with can join.
    Private matches don't give cash.[/p]
  • [p]No more T-bagging to score
    That's right, just bring your balls to the deposit to score, no need to duck.
    This was a controversial one, but ultimately we feel the game flows better this way.[/p]
[p]Improvements:[/p]
  • [p]New Voice Chat tech
    Voice chat was giving lots of players issues, so we moved to a new solution.
    We're still not 100% happy with the quality, but it's a lot more stable and consistent now.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed cases where you couldn't climb & improved stability of climbs[/p]
  • [p]Improved Locomotion acceleration and feel[/p]
  • [p]Being ball grabbed between rounds no longer affects movement speed
    So yes. You can grab someone's balls and they can take you skiing, just like in real life.[/p]
  • [p]Improved geometry in the Joint near the jump tutorial[/p]
  • [p]Improved performance[/p]
  • [p]Added some new SFX[/p]
  • [p]Reduced bandwidth
    Should improve connectivity for people with weaker networks[/p]

    Playing soon after a new Weekly was released would sometimes not register the score - that's fixed.[/p]

[p] Brattas! We are happy to announce:[/p][p][/p][h3]a MULTIPLAYER MINI-GAME for the holidays featuring our NEW MECH: THE PROTEZA[/h3][p][/p][p]Balltag is a test-run. Our first stop on the way to multiplayer.
We're inviting you into the middle of Multiplayer development to test some systems, give some feedback, and have some wholesome holiday fun. The main focus is our new movement mechanics, so let's introduce your ride:[/p][h3]THE PROTEZA[/h3][p][/p][p]The Proteza is our first Street Mech*.[/p][p]Unlike the tanky 'Rilla, this machine is built for the streets of New Brakka.
It's small and agile, it can run, jump, climb... it goes wherever the fuck it wants!
Balltag stress-tests all these new mechanics in an intense free for all race over Shanta's Jingle Balls (long story, don't ask...), so take the Proteza for a spin and let us hear what you think!

RAMPAGE hotfix

Change log:

  • Adjusted RAMPAGE summary screenshot to portrait (vertical) resolution
  • Fixed a bug where the Cinematic Camera in Anchored mode would change into the Selfie anchor after RAMPAGE level up
  • Camera Toolbox doesn’t stop recording now when Leveling Up in RAMPAGE
  • Fixed mic glitches when recording with Camera Toolbox
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Cinematic Camera to continue working in the background when Camera Toolbox is disabled from the Settings
  • Fixed a bug where the microphone didn't work immediately after the player granted permission to use it for the first time
  • YOU DED is now visible when choosing to record videos with Bubble hidden
  • Added Sandboxxer and Basics texts to MORE button in the main menu for clarity
  • Updated the SFX used in RAMPAGE when earning Bronze / Silver / Gold medals

  • Fixed some Shops and Patron Rewards where you got the wrong items
  • Fixed a bug in RAMPAGE level up where dragged items faced the wrong direction on PC

Time to RAMPAGE!

[h3]YO! We got a new game mode for you apes:

[/h3]
This game mode is intense non-stop action, with on-the-fly upgrades.
It's gonna challenge your skills and your physical endurance.

Your goal: smash as many tons of metal as you can before the bots (or a heart attack) take you out.

You'll earn Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals as you progress and upgrade your mech - but combat challenges will start piling up as well, making the enemy bots stronger and stronger.

Every week a new Weekly Set (aka seed) of bots and upgrades will be generated, with its own leaderboard to compete over. You can also just play a Random Set to mix things up whenver you want.

We're stoked about RAMPAGE and hope it will scratch the itch for all you adrenaline junkies, fitness buffs and optimizers out there.
