Travel Log #1 - Delay Announcement + Development Diary Begins!



Hello Travelers!

Thanks to your interest, we were able to successfully conclude our recent event! We are grateful for your support. Many of you sent us valuable feedback and opinions, and based on these, we've taken time to consider what needs to be improved before release and what needs to be added to make the game better. After reconsidering our development schedule, we've unfortunately made the difficult decision to delay the release date.

When will it be released?


We aim to release Shape of Dreams between Q3-Q4 2025, and until then, we will prepare more content while improving the game experience.

Also, since this delay will make the wait longer, we've decided to regularly share what we're developing to help ease your anticipation! Here are some improvements that have been decided based on your feedback.


Gameplay Improvements




We believe that looping back to the beginning is one of the most fun ways to play Shape of Dreams. Growing your character to the extreme and testing yourself to see how far you can go is truly an enjoyable experience. However, we've confirmed user feedback that this experience can become somewhat repetitive over time, especially for veteran players.

So, we're testing various methods to make the overall gameplay, especially the late game, more rich. In particular, we think that if bosses and monsters grow in unexpected ways, and players have to adapt and overcome these situations, it will enhance the challenging fun.


Constellation Rework




Constellations are the meta-progression system of Shape of Dreams. While it's an essential system that provides players with the fun of growth, many travelers have pointed out areas for improvement in the current constellation system. Among the feedback we've confirmed, the main opinions were as follows:
  • Most are simple stat growths. There's a lack of upgrades that can change the experience in different ways.
  • When all trees are completed, the game becomes too easy because you become too powerful, and conversely, when no trees are completed, the game becomes too difficult.

We want to solve these problems and make the constellation system feel more strategic and provide better growth enjoyment. To this end, we're testing several interesting methods, such as stars that can be equipped and unequipped, and stars that have both strengths and weaknesses.


We believe these changes will greatly complement the weaknesses the game currently has. If you have any opinions on this or if you have good ideas, please share them with us on the Steam forum and Discord! You can be of great help in our process of making a better game.
