🏰 Lost Castle 2 – Upcoming Roadmap Revealed!

Hello, treasure hunters!
It’s been a little while since Lost Castle 2 launched in Early Access, and in that time, we’ve received tons of warm feedback and thoughtful suggestions from all of you. We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, steadily pushing toward full release—and now, it’s time to share a sneak peek at what’s coming next.

[h2]July Update (Expected Early July)[/h2]
  • Castle Bridge Stage Overhaul: A major redesign is on the way! We’re replacing the “airport runway” layout with a more dynamic stage featuring new towers, drop-offs, and split paths—giving you more route options and tactical choices during your runs.
  • New Boss Incoming: A brand-new boss will make its debut, complete with unique gear and treasure for you to discover and collect!


[h2]August Update[/h2]
  • New Branch Stage – Castle Dungeon: Descend through a hidden entrance beneath the bridge and explore the forgotten depths of the Black Castle’s dungeon. Prepare for danger—and plenty of loot.
  • Two New Bosses: Face off against two powerful new foes, each guarding exclusive treasures and equipment.
  • New Mechanics in Testing: We’re currently experimenting with exciting new features like mounts and transformations, which will come with unique weapons and interactive creatures. Stay tuned for more details!


[h2]Treasure Vault Rework[/h2]
Since launching in Early Access, we’ve heard your feedback loud and clear—some systems feel overly complex, with steep learning curves, too many choices, and unclear mechanics. We get it—the dev team feels the same way!
As Lost Castle 2 continues to grow, we’ve been working since the March update on a full-scale rework of the Treasure Vault and related systems to create a smoother and more balanced experience. Here’s what to expect:
  • Simplified Treasure Effects: We’re streamlining some of the more complicated treasure effects to make their benefits clearer and easier to understand.
  • Improved Drop System: It’ll be easier to complete gear sets and build the playstyle you want.
  • Mechanical Tweaks: We're adjusting certain mechanics and values to improve combat pacing and enhance strategic depth.

This is a major revamp still in development. Once it’s ready, we’ll release it as a test branch—and we’d love for you to try it out and share your feedback to help us polish it to perfection.

First off, we want to thank everyone for your patience and for submitting all your bug reports! Your feedback has been invaluable in helping us improve the game. Now, let's dive into the latest update!

[h2]🛠️Adjustments[/h2]
  1. Most skills for two-handed weapons have been adjusted.

    • Significantly reduced the recovery time for all skills. Most skills can now roll at any time, and all skills that can transition into charged attacks have faster follow-up speeds.
    • "Iron Sword" mana cost reduced from 60 → 50.
    • "Royal Sword" thrust and uppercut now consume half the skill's mana respectively. Thrust range significantly increased, uppercut damage increased from 690% → 790%. Enchantment duration changed to 10 seconds, and mana cost reduced from 80 → 60.
    • "Blade of Soul" charge gained increased from 60 → 100.
    • "Giant's Flame" sword hit damage reduced from 240% → 70%. Flame wave changed to fork-shaped projection, damage reduced from 380% → 270%. Each unit can now deal damage to the same target. Mana cost increased from 60 → 70, and a 1-second cooldown has been added.
    • "Hacking Blade" damage multiplier increased from 265% → 350%.
    • "Frozen Blade" damage range significantly increased.
    • "Evil Ritual Sword" mana cost reduced from 55 → 30.
    • "Brass Totem Blade" damage multiplier increased from 500% → 600%.
    • "Rock Hammer" animations have been reworked.
    • "Bat Knight’s Sword" jump speed increased. Both actions now consume the mana shown on the skill icon. Mana cost reduced from 45 → 30. The second stage can now be performed even if mana is insufficient after jumping.
    • "Dungeon Guard’s Axe" cooldown reduced from 10 → 3 seconds.
    • "Black Gold Hammer" second-stage damage multiplier increased from 320% → 415%.
    • "Corrosive Guardian" mana cost reduced from 60 → 50.
    • "Beast Bone" mana cost reduced from 50 → 35.
    • "Crystal Scale Blade" consecutive casting speed increased, damage multiplier reduced from 500% → 460%, range increased, and mana cost reduced from 60 → 40.
    • "Destroyer" shockwave damage multiplier increased from 200% → 260%.
    • "Demonic Imperial Shard" charge gain threshold increased to LV2. Light press allows transitioning into charged attacks. Shockwave damage increased from 200% → 450%.
    • "Monolith Maul" cooldown reduced from 4 → 3 seconds.
    • "Demon Slayer" final hit damage multiplier increased from 1250% → 1400%.
    • "Mechanical Blade Axe" cooldown reduced from 2 → 1 second.
    • "Rust&Saltpeter" removed usage limit and replaced with a 1-second cooldown. Mana cost increased from 45 → 50. Final hit damage multiplier reduced from 265% → 240%. Light press allows transitioning into charged attacks.
    • "Ghost Cutter" charged attack transition speed increased, damage multiplier reduced from 200% → 90%.
    • "Katana" skill startup animation speed increased.
    • "Ghost Muramasa" slightly increased attack speed after rising. Shockwave damage increased from 80% → 160%. Special attack follow-up damage multiplier increased from 300% → 420%. Mana cost reduced from 60 → 50.
    • "Frostmoon" two-stage damage multipliers increased from 220% → 286% and 185% → 240%. Mana cost reduced from 40 → 20.
    • "Solar Blaze" second-stage final hit range significantly increased, damage increased from 220% → 350%.
    • "Reaper’s Slice" suction force increased, final hit damage increased from 240% → 500%.
    • "Bamboo Striker" adjusted to pass through enemies, increased to 3 uses, cooldown set to 5 seconds, and mana cost reduced from 50 → 20.
  2. Fixed an issue where the skill of Dual Swords "Iron Double Axes" could grant double combo points. Adjusted the skill to increase damage and range while reducing the cooldown by 1 second.
  3. Reduced the total HP of the Boss "Phantom of the Lost Swordsman" by 10%. Slightly adjusted some animations.

  • Fixed an issue where the alchemical potion "Ice Spirit's New Snow" was not taking effect.
  • Fixed an issue where the one-handed weapon inscription "Avenger Warrior" equipped with the resonance "Hatred Attack" could not activate the mark through shield bashes.
  • Fixed an issue where the bow enchantment "Vengeance Mark" was not being triggered.
  • Fixed an issue where the charged jump slash of one-handed weapons would deal an extra instance of damage upon hitting.
  • Fixed an issue where the Vanguard module of the Shadow Lantern would automatically enter an enhanced state.
  • Fixed an issue where the musket "Bone of the Evil Dragon" could repeatedly activate its skill under specific operations.
  • Fixed an issue where summoned creatures dealt abnormal critical hit damage.
  • Fixed an issue where summoned creatures could not move in certain areas of the "Frozen Cave".
  • Fixed an issue where items would occasionally fall into walls when opening treasure chests.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage hitbox persisted after the flames disappeared during the sweeping flame attack of the Boss "Steward the Demon Sealer".
  • Fixed an issue where the bestiary entry for the Boss "Phantom of the Lost Swordsman" did not record kills.
  • Fixed an issue where characters would occasionally get stuck and unable to move after the settlement screen.
  • Fixed an issue where local multiplayer games would get stuck at 52% when continuing the game.
  • Fixed an issue where shield values were displayed incorrectly in local multiplayer games.
  • Fixed an issue where continuing the game in the fourth stage, "Black Castle Bridge" would prevent map transitions.
  • Fixed an issue where fallen characters could be seen abnormally in the scene during multiplayer games.

Hey adventurers! A small but mighty update has just dropped with some important tweaks and bug fixes to keep your dungeon crawling smooth and satisfying. Check out what’s new:

[h2]🔧 Adjustments[/h2]
  • "Brave Soul" (One-Handed Weapon)
    → Skill has been completely redesigned to better suit agile fighters!

  • "Ghost Cutter" (Two-Handed Weapon)
    → Skill now moves a fixed distance forward with improved control — the Z-axis direction can now be adjusted using movement keys.


[h2]🐛 Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Resolved a visual issue where dodge effects were not visible when wearing the Vampire Costume.
  • Fixed incorrect weapon display in the Bestiary.
  • Fixed a bug where the Phantom Lantern's Vanguard module could float indefinitely when possessing a target.
  • Phantom Lantern "Mjolnir" now correctly triggers empowerment through special attacks when equipped with the "Void Flame Walker" imprint.
  • Perfect defense shockwaves with one-handed weapons now deal proper damage.
  • Fixed a progression bug where continuing the game could get stuck at 94%.
  • Resolved an issue where teammates couldn’t be rescued in multiplayer games.
  • Fixed abnormal camera behavior after leaving a party in multiplayer.
  • Fixed a UI issue when entering the shop in local multiplayer sessions.

[h2]⚙️ PHANTOM LANTERN CHANGES[/h2]
Major rebalancing and skill upgrades across all Phantom modules:

  • More aggressive AI behavior.
  • Overload state reworked: No longer regenerates HP over time, but recovers 40% health on activation (up from 25%).
  • Energy gain halved while Overloaded.
  • Most skills now recall the Phantom before casting, improving positioning.
  • Caster modules now target forward enemies and fire faster special attacks.
  • Module Tuning: Guardian: -20% special attack damage
    Vanguard: +10% normal attack damage, -20% special attack, now tagged as “Finale”
    Caster: +10% normal attack damage, much faster special projectiles


[h2]🔥 STAFF ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
Staffs get faster, stronger, and more flexible! Highlights include:

  • Skill rolls now allowed more freely — less downtime between casts.
  • Across-the-board buffs to elemental strikes, casting speed, movement during casting, and damage scaling.
  • Notable tweaks:
    Spirit Stone: Lightning damage buffed 220% → 390% Luna’s Staff: Projectile multiplier 26% → 42% Devourer Staff: Anglerfish damage 450% → 800% Meteor Power: Meteor damage 1050% → 1200%, now with detached casting


[h2]⚔️ ONE-HANDED & MELEE WEAPON ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
Smoother animations, faster attacks, higher damage caps — melee just got meaner:

  • Royal Sword: Quick-cast damage 160% → 300%, full charge 320% → 600%
  • Sanctuary Sword: Sword dmg down, holy light up to 290%
  • Demon Bone: Full charge damage 700% → 1000%
  • Fortress Battle Axe: Damage 400% → 600%, cooldown halved
  • Glacier Lance, Rock Thunder Lance, and many others receive impactful damage boosts and faster recovery
Bow Update:

  • Strong Arm Bowman imprint’s charged arrow damage 600% → 650%

  • Fixed: Soulstone “Dmg Reduct” was not functioning.
  • Fixed: Eye of the Evil Dragon failing to generate Void energy while possessing.
