Demo Strategy Guide

The Great Strategy Guide (Act 1)
Act 1 Overview
[p]Act I's objective is to capture three enemy generals. This guide breaks the Act down into three key steps, each focused on capturing one target.[/p][p][/p][p]➤ Step 1: Advance along the eastern route and capture the first enemy general, Uisce.[/p][p]➤ Step 2: Move north from Uisce’s base, then circle west to capture the second general, Nicol.[/p][p]➤ Step 3: Head north from Nicol’s position. While holding off powerful enemy forces, capture the final general, Geena.[/p][p][/p]
The Great Strategy Step 1: From Battle Start to Uisce's Encounter

\[ Basic Strategy ]
[p]In Step 1, we will go through the game’s core tactics. The key is to reach the enemy general while maintaining your supply lines, either by stalling or avoiding powerful enemies along the way.[/p][p]The main objective here is to capture Uisce. While there is a more direct route, it’s guarded by a powerful enemy unit. Taking a detour will be the safer approach.[/p][p][/p]
① Take the Detour Route to the Right
[p][/p][p]➤ Avoid heading directly south, the path is blocked by a powerful enemy unit, so taking the longer route around would be safer.[/p][p]➤ Keep Scarlet and Lily together as a team.[/p][p][/p][p]After moving one tile to the top right, enemy forces stationed at the outpost (mountain road) will begin advancing toward the base you just left.[/p][p]On the following turn, return to Dahmlin (your previous position) and take it back.[/p][p]This will trigger an event where you’re “surrounded and unable to move,” after which you’ll gain access to the Stream Airship.[/p][p][/p]
② Move the Stream Airship to the Arrow
[p][/p][p]Follow the tutorial instructions to move the Stream Airship. There’s a position where you can stall two bases at once (since the airship’s stall effect can target multiple bases simultaneously, this is a great chance to practice).[/p][p][/p]
③ Battles Along the Way
[p][/p][p]In small battles before the boss fight, Scarlet’s army generally has the upper hand.[/p][p]Though, preserving HP is crucial, so rather than always using the Delegate combat, commanding battles yourself for better outcomes is recommended.[/p][p][/p][p]➤ Scarlet’s AOE skill “Crimson Wave” is excellent for wiping out enemies.[/p][p]➤ Use Lily’s “Opening Call” to boost the defense of allies who are likely to be attacked.[/p][p][/p][p]When a base has 2 or more durability (★), you can't advance until you reduce all stars. One ★ is reduced per turn, so capturing a 2★ base takes two turns. [/p][p][/p]
④ Switch to Capture Stream
[p][/p][p]Once you’ve captured the base in front of Uisce’s, switch the Stream Airship to Capture Stream and advance your units.[/p][p]During this time, you won’t be able to stall enemies, so it’s possible that enemy forces will infiltrate your bases like Dahmlin. But don’t worry, as long as you capture Uisce, you’ll win the map.[/p][p]Since Capture Stream consumes no energy, keep it active as you move in to capture Uisce.[/p][p][/p]
⑤ The Battle Against Uisce
[p][/p][p]Uisce is a powerful infantry, which has an advantage over Scarlet who is a cavalry unit.[/p][p][/p][p]➤ Use Lily’s “Opening Call” to boost Scarlet’s defense, and focus on dealing damage using “Crimson Wave,” which doesn’t trigger counterattacks.[/p][p]➤ It’s fine if you can’t defeat him in one battle, recover HP via supply lines and use Scarlet’s “Crimson Among Men” skill to sustain.[/p][p][/p][p]Once Uisce’s HP turns red and “Capture!” appears under the name, use Lily’s skill “On the Stage” to capture her.[/p][p][/p]
⑥ Using Uisce as an Ally
[p]Uisce is a high-crit character with a powerful EX skill that deals major damage to single targets.[/p][p]➤ EX Skill: "Fox Hunting"[/p][p]・A powerful 1.8x single-target damage.[/p][p]・Deals a guaranteed extra 200 damage. A reliable damage source.[/p][p]➤ “Updated Observations”[/p][p]・Increases the attack power of allied units.[/p][p]➤ “Hometown Hero”[/p][p]・While limited to Elysia, it speeds up base occupation by 1.[/p][p]➤ “Guerrilla Warfare”[/p][p]・On turn 3, boosts crit damage for allied infantry and artillery.[/p][p]・Can create synergy with ally units.[/p][p][/p]
The Great Strategy Step 2: Capturing Nicol

\[ Basic Strategy ]
[p]Step 2 features Nicol as the enemy general. With Uisce joining your army, you’ll now be able to advance with 3 units.[/p][p]Hold the frontline with Uisce while Scarlet and Lily flank from the side to cut off enemy supply lines.[/p][p][/p]
① Move Uisce Near Nicol’s Base
[p][/p][p]After capturing Uisce, turns continue. If Scarlet and Lily already acted during his capture, only Uisce can move.[/p][p]Send Uisce near Nicol’s base.[/p][p]Nicol won’t initiate combat against Uisce, so have Uisce hold the line while Scarlet and Lily advance along a detour.[/p][p][/p]
② Flank With Scarlet and Lily to Sever Supply Lines
[p][/p][p]While Uisce holds the frontline, move Scarlet and Lily along the marked path to cut off enemy supplies.[/p][p]You can rush straight to the next base or capture bases along the way and increase their durability (★). [/p][p]Some small enemy units will target Uisce, so you could use this to farm experience and level up.[/p][p][/p]
③ A.C.E.
[p]Arriving at the Elysia Customs Gate triggers an event. A powerful enemy unit called "A.C.E." spawns at Geena’s base.[/p][p][/p][p]A.C.E. patrols a specific route and won’t advance toward Nicol’s position, so ignore it for now.[/p][p][/p]
④ Head South and Capture Nicol
[p][/p][p]While heading south, stall weaker enemies coming from the north and advance to Nicol’s base.[/p][p][/p][p]Nicol is a strong infantry commander, so he has an edge over Scarlet. Use “Opening Call” to strengthen Scarlet’s defenses.[/p][p]Nicol will use skills to reduce your party’s defense and mobility at the start of battle. If you’re fighting a group, Scarlet’s “Crimson Wave” is great for damaging them all at once.[/p][p]Meanwhile, have Lily who has advantage against infantry, focus on steadily chipping away Nicol’s HP.[/p][p]Even if you can’t win in one go, two to three battles should push Nicol’s HP into the red.[/p][p][/p]
⑤ Capture Nicol Using the Stream Airship
[p][/p][p]When Nicol is weakened, move the Stream Airship over his base and switch to Capture Stream to capture him.[/p][p]In some cases, you may capture her while defending a base.[/p][p]But this is only possile if Capture Stream is active on that tile. [/p][p][/p][p]Even if you capture Nicol, he will only join you as a unit AFTER you capture Geena. Time you attacks and try to acquire both characters.[/p][p][/p]
The Great Strategy Step: Capturing Geena

\[ Basic Strategy ]
[p]The key in the Geena fight is avoiding A.C.E.[/p][p]Understand its movement pattern and use Stalling Stream wisely to gain the upper hand.[/p][p]Here’s the general route after the Nicol fight. If enemies have occupied other bases, you could reclaim them before heading to Geena, if you want.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
① Stall A.C.E. and Move Toward Geena’s Base
[p]A.C.E. patrols four bases in a clockwise loop and only attacks if the player's unit is in its way.[/p][p]Take the northern, U-shaped route to Geena’s position.[/p][p]If you can stall A.C.E. at Position ① on the map below, you can easily attack Geena's base.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Tips: Do I need to fight A.C.E.?
[p]A.C.E. offers boss-level EXP, but they are extremely strong.[/p][p]Early in the game, your forces are too weak to reliably defeat it, so it’s not necessary to fight them.[/p][p][/p]
② The Battle Against Geena
[p][/p][p]Geena is an artillery unit who buffs enemy defense and debuffs the player's attack. Her passive also reduces cavalry attack and mobility on turn 1—bad news for Scarlet.[/p][p]She is backed by three escort units and is difficult to capture in one battle.[/p][p]Use Scarlet’s “Crimson Wave” in the first two turns to eliminate small fry, then target Geena on turn 3.[/p][p]Support her with other allies for best results.[/p][p]Use Uisce’s “Updated Observations” to boost Scarlet’s power further.[/p][p]When Geena’s HP is red, move the Stream Airship and capture her.[/p][p][/p]
Out of Stream Airship Energy?
[p]If the battle against Geena drags on and you can no longer stall A.C.E., time your moves and circle back clockwise.[/p][p]Make sure to always stall A.C.E. at Position ① only.[/p]

Director's Message: Regarding the Story of the Game The Great Prologue ⑥

Hello everyone,
This is the development team of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.

The Great Prologue is a series that introduces the enemy commanders that stand in the way of Scarlet and her allies.
Today, we’re taking a closer look at characters who also appeared in the previous demo.
(We're currently working on a new updated demo and we appreciate your patience.)

The people introduced here are among the first characters Scarlet will encounter.
Just who are they?

Now then, Lady Scarlet, Lily-chan, take it away!
▼ The Ambitious Baroness
Baron's are little too common to meet.

Ugh, upper nobility.

Well... That’s just how an aristocratic society works.

Guess we’ll be relying on the cue cards from here on.

Not my preference, but fine. Still... that outfit is a fashion crime.

Apparently she fancies herself a fashion leader.

... This?

Well… she definitely has a unique sense of style.
And, being a baron, her title isn’t exactly at the top.

Which means, if she’s been appointed Governor-general with that rank,
she must be highly competent.

Yeah, it implies as much.
Though it doesn’t look like she’s happy with that status.

...A true ambitious type.

Would we want her on our side?

Wow, she’s impressive.

Spreading debuffs with smoke while unleashing artillery on everyone?
That’s power befitting the Governor of Elysia.

And that defense!
Just... ignore the fashion.

Fashion doesn’t affect combat capability.

She apparently graduated top of her artillery class at the military academy.

Can’t judge a book by its cover.

Especially in the male-dominated Empire,
where being a female baron is pretty rare.
▼ The Professional Soldier Supporting the Baroness
Well, well...

Now that’s a straight-laced officer.

He seems... painfully boring.

That's incredibly rude.

Let’s see… childhood friend of the baroness?
And also a baron?

Now Lady Scarlet is reading the cue cards, eh!

Hey, I don’t know this guy.

Is it strange to have the same title as her?

It’s rare.
Noble society has strict hierarchies.

So serving as her adjutant is his personal choice?

...That’s what it sounds like.

That Empire vibe is showing for sure.
So... maybe he’s her favorite?

Likely.

...You realize, Lady Scarlet, if we try to tear apart a duo this tightly bonded...

They would go ballistic.

What’s this? A crossbow bolt?

Close, it’s a flechette.
Developed for use in firearms and artillery.

...Are these even accurate?

Not particularly.
They lack rifling stability.

Ah, so they’re meant to scatter.
But he’s on foot?

They’re used in rifles and shotguns.
High anti-personnel lethality.
They stay in the body; more hits, more damage.

He’s shouting “Don't die!” while literally shooting people...

It’s possible to be dutiful and kind at the same time.

Working is hard…
▼ The Anti-Empire Boy Sniper
His file’s pretty thin...

He’s apparently the leader of a resistance in Elysia,
one of the Empire’s colonies.

The only Elysian we’ve seen so far.

I’m from the Republic too, you know.

Technically different from the Empire as a whole, sure.
But this isn’t a competition.

Apparently, he’s also a master whisky blender with an excellent nose.

Wait, could he have blended the Elysian whisky I drank?

Only one way to find out.

...Now I really want him on our side.

Don’t choose people just for their booze!

Ow!!!!!

Calm down.
You weren’t actually hit, Lady Scarlet.

Oh, right.
I’m the commander.

Sniper’s got a huge single-target burst damage.

He’s the kind you keep on reserve until the perfect moment.
Very dangerous as an enemy.

You’re cavalry, Lady Scarlet…

Worst possible matchup.
Though your unit's not faring much better…

...Sorry for being squishy.

Thank you, both of you!

Up to now, we’ve introduced a wide array of enemy commanders and characters.
Whether you recruit them or ignore the suspicion from the world and rebel with just Scarlet and Lily.
We hope you’ll enjoy discovering what fate awaits them.

(If recruited, Gina can disrupt enemy forces via broadcast!)

From the next episode, we want to summarize key changes made for the full release,
and highlight how to enjoy the game more smoothly.
Answering questions like:

- So, what kind of game is this anyway? - Any tips on gameplay?
We hope to convey the uniqueness of this strategy simulation game more clearly.

We will have to make you wait a little more, but we hope you look forward to the game!
Thank you again for you support for The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.

Director's Message: Regarding the Story of the Game The Great Prologue ⑤

Hello!
This is the development team of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.

Many characters appear in front of Scarlet and her allies. Some stand in the way and some stand alongside...
In this edition of “The Great Prologue,” Lady Scarlet and Lily-chan will be introducing the colorful cast of characters from the Empire.

We’ve greatly increased the amount of voiced lines compared to the demo, and hope to deliver a more immersive story.
(*It’s not fully voiced, but they do talk quite a bit... I think!)
We’d be delighted if you imagine their voices and look forward to your encounters with them.

Now then—
Lady Scarlet and Lily-chan, take it away!
▼ The Kind Sister of the National Church
Hm? A non-combatant?

Apparently she’s a sister of the Empire’s National Church.
She serves as a high priestess.

Ah, the one Gwyn is close with.
I haven’t met her myself, but I’ve heard about her.

Wow, that’s rare these days.
In the Republic, the separation of church and state has really progressed.

Well, it’s a national religion.
You can’t separate them.

I wonder how close she is with Lord Gwyn?

She’s sometimes invited to local charity work,
and other times acts as an advisor for policy-making.

Sounds like they’re really close.

He should’ve just married her.

You can’t marry a nun!
But wow… her neckline and shoulders are really...

Is that really a type fashion for someone who’s taken a vow of chastity?

I guess even the prince is still a man, huh?

He’s such a stick-in-the-mud though…
▼ Twin Commanders of the Police Corps
Emmmmmmmm

You’re traumatized just from being seem suspicions?
This one’s one of Gwyn's personal Police Corps commanders.

What exactly do the Police Corps do?

They’re an armed force belonging to the military.
They patrol civilians like regular police,
but they also have authority to investigate the military itself.

Ah, so they’re also in charge of counterintelligence.

Of course, one may wonder if someone this young is really up to the task…

…Is the Empire suffering with a personnel shortage?

Gwyn doesn’t get much support from the aristocracy.

Oh. So it’s their job to interrogate every suspicious person?
Guess that’s why we were suspects on the night of the incident... Just doing their job.

He's absolutely loyal to Gwyn and trustworthy...
He doesn't like me.

That much is obvious without saying.

Owwwww!

Area attacks… those are a pain.

Hurts more when it’s us getting hit.

That’s the military police for you... Relentless.

I wonder if the other officer is just as tough…

That’s the other twin.

No... Scary.

Together, they’re Gwyn’s sword and shield.
This one’s the sword; aggressive and throws out debuffs. Nasty combo.

I'm already not looking forward to the next one.
▼ Beautiful Vice Commander of the Police Corps
Wait whaaaaat?

It’s just the same face, calm down.
Unlike Sapphirus, she’s calm and reasonable.
Though her intuition is pretty sharp.

Still scary.
…But she sure acts cute around Gwyn.

She does have a lady's side.
I haven’t really felt disliked from her, now that I think about it.

Oh? Was she kind to you?

She did give me an incredibly disappointed look once.

…That might be worse than being hated.

Her brother guards Gwyn’s immediate vicinity, while she handles incident investigations.
They split their duties.

She’s young, but seems earnest—feels responsible for her position,
and is well-trusted by her subordinates…
What a hard-working person.

She’s truly Gwyn's right hand.
Her investigation logs are neat,
and she personally organizes files too.

…She might have a rough past.

A hardcore supporter-type.

The twins together are a nightmare.
One spreads debuffs, the other buffs their allies and stabilizes everything.

Yikes.
Still, I’d love to have her on our side.

Well, that depends on how she feels about me...

Impressions don’t matter in war.
Just capture her. Everyone's a prisoner after all.

You’re the scariest one here.
▼ Charismatic Military Band Musician
Ohhh. Another charming-silver, different from your father.

He’s a war survivor.
A monster, really.

…The type that’s popular with a certain crowd of girls.

Back to the stage play stuff again?

Yup.
But he carries himself like a gentleman,
stands tall. You can tell he’s no ordinary person.

According to my father,
they used to be such close comrades you could call them blood brothers.
He’s retired now but remains as a reserve commander.

What’s that baton for?

In the old wars, military bands would play music for troops to march in step.
He was the conductor back then.

Ahh… the Penrose family’s… line infantry and all that… I get it now.

He’s seen more war than anyone.
He’s in a different league.

Ugh, he gives me a really bad feeling with his buffer.

We need to take him out first. He’s dangerous.

And he buffs the entire unit.
This is real bad.

The only saving grace is that he’s artillery.
I’m cavalry, so I have the advantage.
Super effective.

Let’s hope we don’t get caught by the buffed units surrounding him...

…Don’t go predicting grim futures like that.

…I’ve had enough brute force for one day.
Any fun trivia about him...?
Oh, it says here his instrument of choice is the saxophone.

Wonder if he plays in some run-down bar?

That kind of life’s cool too, honestly.

How was that?

The people introduced this time are sure to use all sorts of tactics to trouble Scarlet and her allies.

Across the Empire, you’ll find strategic terrain like the fortress “Great Wall” shown last time, as well as movable bridges over canals, like the one in this map.

With limited forces, how will you establish supply lines and take on powerful enemies?
And will capturing enemy commanders help clear Scarlet’s name?

We hope you’ll look forward to the full story.

Until then, thank you for your continued support of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.
