Portal Fantasy is Launching April 16th!
Greetings, Portal Wanderers!
We have some important news to share regarding the launch of Portal Fantasy. After much consideration and in response to the awesome feedback from you guys and seeing many of the streamers who have showcased our game, we've decided to reschedule our launch date from April 3rd to April 16th.
[b ]Why the Delay?
As gamers ourselves, one of our main goals has always been to make sure we are giving you the best gaming experience we can. Over the past year, your feedback has been crucial in highlighting what needed improvement. To ensure that every player, regardless of location, enjoys the best journey possible in the Kingdom of Pyli, we've decided to implement a significant enhancement: offline.
Transition to Offline Mode
By shifting Portal Fantasy to an offline experience, we want to provide a consistent gameplay experience without the dependency on server and internet connectivity. This change ensures that all players can embark on their adventures without interruption and that you can play Portal Fantasy anywhere (looking at you, Steam Deck users). This should also improve load times due to the previous server dependency.
This will cause a delay in releasing PvP, so it won't be available straight at launch as that has to be online, and we need to make sure all works as intended. PvP is still on the roadmap coming soon!
These 2 others are some big improvements we've been keeping a secret, but we can give you a sneak peek, since we are delaying the launch.
Enhanced NPC Portraits
Our beloved characters now come to life with richer, more detailed portraits, adding depth and personality to your interactions with them.
Doesn't Jeejee look much more expressive? And she is not the only one. Wait until you finally see Dar's face.
Improved Porble Growth Stats Display
We've revamped the way Porble growth statistics are presented, offering clearer insights into your creatures' development and strengths as they level up and evolve.
He might have a shy personality, but look at those shiny stats
Why Not Update Post-Launch?
While we could have proceeded with the original launch date and introduced these and other improvements in subsequent updates, we know that you deserve the best experience from day one. Taking this additional time allows us to integrate these improvements and test them properly, making sure you get the best experience for the adventure that awaits you at launch and not a few days later.
We know that delays can be annoying and frustrating, and we sincerely believe this is the best choice. Your patience and support mean the world to us, and we're committed to making Portal Fantasy worth the wait, instead of rushing the launch.
We can't wait for you to experience the world of Pyli on April 16th!
