Mage and Monsters 2 is out!

Mage and Monsters 2 releases on September 8!

[p]Hi all, the release date for Mage and Monsters 2 will be 8th September at 11 AM PDT/8 PM CEST! The price will be 8.99 USD with a 20% launch discount. [/p][p][/p][p]I have made an effort to ensure that the 12 heroes that can be unlocked are unique and change how you play a lot. So there isn't one solution that fits all, but instead you will have to think carefully how you approach the game with each hero.[/p][p][/p][p]Also I have done my best to give you as much freedom as possible in creating cool builds. Most stuff can be upgraded as much as you like - say upgrading armor on your hero 50 times during your game. Hopefully my game is robust enough to stand such freedom, and won't be completely broken by you guys!

New trailer and progress update

Development update: Forest and Tundra soon done

Hi I thought I would give an update on the development of the game, since it has been some time since the latest demo update.

The full release version is coming along, and I hope to have it ready for later this year or early next year. I plan to have 3 different maps, 2 of which are hand-crafted challenges. The third map will be a random enemy map where you can use gold to reroll, in case the enemies are particularly bad for your build, or you think some of them are way too good.

I also plan to have 16 different heroes available on release, and aiming for each of them to promote a unique playstyle and approach to the game. For example the next hero I plan to create will be one where the unit you have most of will get a big bonus, but all the other units you have will constantly take damage.

I hope to release a game that is much more finished than MM1 was upon launch, but I am also still planning to update MM2 post launch for some time. Thanks for your patience and I look forward to releasing the full game soonish.

Patch 0.31: Finalizing demo

Patch 0.31:

- Max gold that gives interest from 600 to 500 (from max 60 to max 50 extra gold each round now).
- Some upgrades that can only be upgraded a limited amount now show their progress and max upgrades possible, for example the Frost Shock duration upgrade will show “SPELL UPGRADE 0/5”.
- When choosing new units their special abilities are now updated correctly if you have upgraded them.
- Fixed various incorrect movespeed tooltips.


I hope to have this be the final demo version, The demo updates have been small and slow because I am working on the full version (Tier 4 and Tier 5 units are done now).
