Public Playtest is NOW OPEN

[h2]Public Playtest[/h2][p]Today kicks off the first public playtest for Castillon! Anyone who had previously registered for the playtest will now automatically be granted access. Anyone new simply needs to click the green "Join The Playtest" button the the game's store page.[/p][p][/p][p]A lot of work has gone into the project this year, finding what we hope to be a unique blend of genres. We've taken the basics of TD, RTS and Base Builder games and boiled them down into a tight strategy experience. This playtest will grant you access to the Tutorial and first 2 playable levels.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][h2]Feedback?[/h2][p]We have a number of ways for you to provide feedback. Please use whichever feels most compatible with your own preferences. Castillon
development is going strong, and the game has been taking shape rapidly. After some more time is spent implementing and polishing a few new features, we are planning to run public playtest! Your feedback would be greatly appreciated, and will help steer the final direction for Castillon.[/p][p][/p][p]On the main Steam page, directly below the screenshots, there is a button to Request Access to Join the Playtest. This will add you to our playtesting list. And when it is time to test the upcoming beta, you will be notified directly through Steam![/p][p][/p][h2]WHAT'S NEW?[/h2][h3]NEW UI[/h3][p]The most recent changes have been on improving the UI, looking to keep things simple and clean, while functional and informative.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Menus now have a simpler presentation, and much more clearly delineated buttons. The resource UI has all been consolidated. The Day/Night cycles + Enemy Wave trackers have been brought together as a part of the mini-map to give you a quick overview. And a Wizard-specific display has been added to better track your hero's health and abilities.[/p][p][/p][h3]IMPROVED TOWERS[/h3][p]The Towercrafting system continue to improve!
With 4 elemental gems, there are a total of 34 unique towers your can build to enhance your defenses![/p][p]Here is a quick look at the Tier 1 and 2 towers, showing how Holy, Necro, Arcane and Engineering gems have be paired off.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]While this system is designed to allow for Towers at all Tiers to be useful contributors to your defenses - it is Tier 3 where the real strength is found! These towers can deal devastating damage, greatly enhance your units, hinder enemies, and otherwise turn the tide of battle in your favor.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We're very excited for you to see it all in action!
