📰 Update 1.11.009

[p][/p][p]What do our players love the most? Digging, of course! That's why we've decided to add a new resource: Obsidian, which you'll have to mine all the way down to the boiling lava for. But lava isn't soup; you can't just scoop it up. Therefore, players will have to use special extraction units for mining, while fending off Lava Dragons. Once you obtain the coveted obsidian through this complex production process, you can create a variety of items with useful properties: exceptionally durable walls, luxurious interior items, and, of course, armor and weaponry. While these items may slightly concede to Mithril in terms of damage output, they allow you to drain a portion of the enemy's life force, healing the wearer.[/p][p]The newly smarter Dwarves are here to delight you yet again: two new sliders have been added to the Work Priority settings window to fine-tune their already impressive intelligence. First, there's the Courage Level adjustment. Now you decide whether your Dwarves will fight like lions to the end — one against hundreds of monsters — or run away together in a panic from every little bug. And secondly, by popular demand, we've added a setting to control the required skill level for tasks. You choose: will the forge or other workbench wait for a Dwarf with the necessary skill, or will your Dwarves take on the nearest available job regardless of their abilities?[/p][p]Finding the required item for a recipe will now be easier: clicking on it in the crafting table will highlight it in your inventory after switching to the corresponding section.[/p][p]We have fixed a multitude of other flaws and bugs, including those related to the curvature of the earth, block weight, lake depth, and the height of the sky.[/p][p]Among other things, the list of Pandora's Box events has been updated, and during the New Year Event period, monsters will bring you even more surprises![/p]

A Christmas update is coming to the game!

[p][/p][p]In the Christmas update of Craft The World, the Beholder will put on a festive skin — bright, winter-themed, and perfect for celebrating the holidays in the game! It will bring even more magic and atmosphere to your adventures.[/p][p]And which game character, in your opinion, also deserves a festive look?[/p][p][/p]

Developer Diary: The Obsidian Extraction Unit

[p][/p][p]A New Year calls for something massive and bright! ✨[/p][p]That’s why we are adding a huge-scale Obsidian Extraction Unit to the base game, designed to harvest the material directly from lava.[/p][p]This durable and beautiful resource will allow you to craft a host of useful items:[/p]
  • [p]A brand-new set of building blocks, armor, and weapons.[/p]
  • [p]Stylish decorative items for your dungeon.[/p]
[p]How Does It Work?[/p]
  • [p]Complex Recipe: To create the Unit, your Dwarves will need to master several intermediate crafting stages.[/p]
  • [p]Careful Setup: The structure must be precisely secured to a back wall at a specific height above a lake of lava.[/p]
  • [p]Process Start: The operating Dwarf heads into the cab, and the Unit initiates the extraction process, similar to crafting at a regular workbench.[/p]
  • [p]Extraction: After processing a large volume of lava, the Unit will dispense a finished chunk of obsidian, ready to be carried to the stockpile.[/p]
[p]But remember: the most valuable resources are often guarded by the most dangerous creatures. The Unit will operate in Dragon habitats, and your invasion is unlikely to please these behemoths! 🔥[/p]
