I'm Omer, the game designer from our small indie studio, and I'm here to give you a sneak peek into our roadmap for "Hakan's War Manager." You know, the journey of creating a game can be a thrilling yet challenging one, especially when you're a tiny team of three, like us. But we've got big dreams and even bigger aspirations for our game, and we want to share our roadmap with you.


Demo Phase:

We're already in the demo phase. You might be wondering why it took us a bit to post this roadmap. Well, the truth is, there's been a whirlwind of activity here, and we actually had an unofficial roadmap scribbled on the back of a napkin. But good news! We've just released the demo, and it's out in the wild for you to explore. It's been an incredible journey so far, oh! there might be a thing or two missing in the demo. Rest assured, we're on it, and we'll be adding those missing pieces very soon, possibly in the next week.

Early Access:

Now, here's where we need your support more than ever. Being a small indie studio, we've faced our fair share of challenges in bringing our vision to life. That's why we're embracing the Early Access phase. We want your feedback, your thoughts, your battle cries – every bit of support you can offer. Early access is where the magic happens, where we learn from your experiences and make "Hakan's War Manager" even better.

Full Release:

This is the big one, the grand finale. It's what we envisioned when we started this game. Well, I might be stretching the truth a bit – it's actually smaller than my initial imagination. But, you know what they say – your first game teaches you to keep your scope small, and that's what we're doing. We're going for a league system, just like in football (or soccer for our friends across the pond). In this system, all you Khans out there have a chance to become the Hakan, the "Khan of Khans." It's the ultimate goal, and we can't wait to get there with you.

HWM Small Updates/Fixes V.0.2.4

As we prepare to release the demo this week, we've been hard at work refining "Hakan's War Manager." Here's a rundown of the fixes and updates we've made:

  • We've resolved the tactical screen scroll-down issue, ensuring a smooth and easy experience.
  • The scout leader results will display salaries, as this issue has been fixed.
  • The enemy leader problem, where too many loads could cause an error, has been addressed.
  • Pathfinding issues have been rectified, improving the movement of units.
  • Animation directions are now fixed for a more consistent experience.
  • Leaders will no longer be inexplicably cleared, as this bug has been dealt with.

  • We've introduced a quality-of-life update that allows you to clear the tactical board or unassign leaders with a single click.

HWM Small Updates/Fixes V.0.2.3

This week has been as intense as the battles you will command in "Hakan's War Manager." We've been hard at work, to improve and fix various aspects of the game:

  • The game's economy was facing a bug, providing the wrong amount of gold. That's been fixed, and your coffers should be accurate now.
  • We addressed a scout bug that allowed for several scout actions. This is now in order.
  • In the character creation scene, there was an issue with tactician styles and their representative images. This bug has been rectified.
  • We fixed a typo in clan information.
  • An asymmetrical typo in the leaderboard arrangement has been resolved.
  • There was a bug in the leaderboard scrolling that prevented smooth scrolling. No more hitches there.
  • Training results have been fine-tuned to show leaders' abilities accurately, from their current ability to their maximum potential.

  • We've added a "Contact Us" section as we approach the demo release. If you want to provide feedback about the game, you now have a dedicated space.
  • The battle option menu has been streamlined for a more concise experience.

  • A new logo animation graces our start screen.
  • Character creation UI has been improved for a smoother experience.
  • Scout results now provide improved UI for you to check out leaders' info.
  • The inbox has also undergone UI improvements, allowing you to distinguish between read and unread messages.

We're buzzing with activity this week as we draw near the release of the demo for "Hakan's War Manager." Here's what we've been up to:

[h2]Fixes:[/h2]

  • We've tackled a bug in the character creation scene that prevented you from choosing different tactician styles. Now, the choice is yours.
  • Clicking on the squad button too quickly used to cause a glitch where the system kept assigning leaders even when it wasn't needed. We've fixed that.
  • There was a pesky bug that caused the system to load twice in a row, causing problems. Now, it loads just once, as it should.
  • Starting with more than 10 units, which goes against the War League rules, used to be possible due to a bug. Now, the game obeys the rules as intended.

  • We've introduced a small but effective tutorial to help newcomers grasp the basics of the game.
  • In the tactic scene, we've made a quality-of-life improvement that allows you to quickly switch orders and tactics on the screen.
  • Now, in the leaders squad and individual leader's stats screens, you can see how much they earn.
  • Leader stat screens now display current and potential stars, offering you a clearer picture of your leaders' potential.
  • We've enhanced the scouting experience with a pop-up confirmation when you want to scout a package, along with a cool animation on the result screen.
  • We've tweaked the balance between units, reducing the number of archers from 1000 to 500 for now.
  • The Order screen has received a snazzy UI update, making selected buttons look fancy and disabled buttons easier to spot as non-options.
