Watch the all new Competition Trailer, detailing all the game modes you can experience in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Whether it be placing 1st in Grand Prix, challenging racers online and increasing your rank in World Match, mastering courses and securing the best time in Time Trial, or changing up the ruleset and teams in the Race Park, there’s tons of ways to face down the competition.

• Grand Prix - Compete solo or with friends in local splitscreen co-op for first place in one of 7 cups (comprised of 4 races each). Racers are awarded points based on their placements at the end of races, and the racer with the most points at the end wins!
  
• World Match – Test your skills and compete online against 11 other players. Earn Rank Points, increase your World Rank, and aim for the top!
  
• Friend Match - Play with up to 11 other players online in custom lobbies where you can control all aspects of a race such as Speed, Team Size, Course/CrossWorlds, AI Difficulty, Frenzy Gates, Items, and Rule Sets.
  
• Race Park – Change up the rules and teams online and offline in this party mode that features six unique race formats.
  
• Time Trial - Compete for the best time on individual courses and aim for the top of the Leaderboard Rankings.
  
• Custom Match – Play with up to 4 players offline split-screen where you can control all aspects of a race such as Speed, Team Size, Courses/CrossWorlds, AI Difficulty, Frenzy Gates, Items, and Rule Sets.

But that’s not all! PAC-MAN and Team Ghost join the cast of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds! Venture through PAC-Village, eat up PAC-Dots, and escape the iconic Maze in the PAC-MAN Mobile. The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – PAC-MAN Pack will also include additional sounds, emotes, and decals.



The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Open Network Test is coming to Steam! From August 29 12:01am – September 1 11:59pm Eastern, try out 12 iconic Sonic characters, test drive 16 courses (9 main courses & 7 CrossWorlds), and mix and match 42 gadgets to create the ultimate racing machine. SEGA has announced a multi-year partnership with the racing brand, making SEGA the gaming partner of the supercar racing brand. The partnership brings both brands’ desires of speed, bold design and a drive to inspire the next generation on a global scale. This isn’t the first time McLaren and Sonic the Hedgehog have met. Back at the 1993 European Grand Prix — known then as the Sonic Grand Prix — the McLaren F1 Team driver, Ayrton Senna, was awarded a Sonic the Hedgehog trophy on the podium. Racing games are plentiful across various platforms and franchises. Mario Kart is to Nintendo what Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is to SEGA, and if you’re a Sonic fan, you will be eating well with the latest racing game from the franchise. I was able to go hands-on with the game for an hour at Summer Game Fest, and can confidently say that if you are looking for a new competitive game to play with friends or at parties, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will fit the bill.

The world of Sonic is decades old, so there is absolutely a ton of content to pull from in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. There will be 23 starting racers, 45 original vehicles, 70 tools to upgrade or change them, 24 tracks and 15 crossworlds, but more on that later. Obviously, I played as Sonic to start, but I also played as Cream and Cheese because nothing could possibly be cuter.
