Development Log - Progress Update
Hey guys! It’s been a while! We’ve started sharing updates in our community groups to keep you in the loop and ease some of the excitement for new content. Again, the journey of House of Legacy wouldn’t be possible without your trust and support, and we’re so grateful for our amazing community. If you have any ideas or suggestions about the features we’re working on, feel free to drop them in the comments—we’d love to hear from you! Here’s a quick rundown of some features we’ve completed recently:
- Players can now customize family surnames, names of descendants, farm names, residence names, and more.
- The edit and construction modes have been merged for simplified building operations.
- You can hold down shortcut keys to drag along a straight line for rapid construction.
- During building edits, you can quickly undo construction actions using shortcut keys.
- The family tree now features a hierarchical diagram to showcase relationships among family members.
- Additional categorization for family members, such as descendants and spouses, has been added.
- The retainer module now displays all recruited retainers in the family.
- The children’s information panel now includes details about their mothers.
- A new “Clan Duties” feature allows family members to automatically handle tasks such as collecting money, socializing, and procurement.
- Spouses now have a relationship status (displayed only for wives and live-in husbands), which influences offspring reproduction.
- Matchmaking: Matchmaker events can randomly occur in city residences, allowing you to select roles for matchmaking.
- Rebellions: Public grievances may lead to refugee uprisings. Neglecting these uprisings could result in the city falling under refugee army control.
- Natural Disasters: Disasters may occur, triggering events such as price surges and grain relief efforts.
- Administrative Affairs: When the family has officials in governance, administrative events will require handling. The mechanics for these events have been enriched and improved.
- Only generals can be appointed as commanders during wars. Troop numbers are determined by the general’s rank. Generals can earn promotions through military service, either as regular soldiers or commanders.
- Family generals may be summoned by the court as commanders for imperial expeditions.
- Generals can gain noble titles through military merit, along with land grants. Current noble titles include Duke, Marquis, and Earl, with the addition of land names (e.g., Duke of X).
- Generals have a chance to become commanders of the Imperial Guards (12 guards), enabling greater control over the imperial city.
- Female generals now have unique designs with dedicated attire instead of sharing male clothing.
- Purchased residences now have visible effects for easier identification.
- A new feature allows selling residences. Prices fluctuate dynamically based on public grievances, population, and prosperity.
- Demolition of residences will include prompts if any retainers reside in them.
- Added display filter settings for the city scene: You can choose to show or hide the names of key buildings, such as shops, and filter to display specific types of characters.
- Added an imperial city panel where central government officials, Imperial Guard commanders, guard numbers, treasury status, and court events are displayed. Players can also enter the imperial city to interact with the royal family.
- Opera Functionality: The theater system has been enhanced. You can now select specific operas for performances, and their popularity will influence the guests they attract.
- Quantity Selection: Improved controls for adjusting quantities. You can now hold the increment/decrement button for rapid adjustments, directly input numbers for large quantities, and retain the original units system (ones, tens, hundreds, etc.).
- Debt Adjustment: Debt is now allowed for imperial examinations but not for shop overdrafts.
- Expanded Minister Roles: Diversified tasks for court officials, including positions such as Minister of Works, Minister of Rites, and Minister of Personnel.
