See you soon for some more spoilers, Tamers![/p]

Patch 0.8: launch date, spoilers, and more!

[p]Hi Tamers! We've been quietly working on the next update, patch 0.8, but we think it's safe now to chat about it a bit, even to provide a launch date! (knocks on wood)[/p]
First of all, a date
[p]Temtem: Swarm's 0.8 patch will launch on September 22nd if everything continues going according to plan! With that out of the way, let us show you some of the beauty that we have in store for you this time!

[/p]
Shattered Eclipse
[p]Patch 0.8's formal name is Shattered Eclipse, which might already give you some clues as to where we're going and who we're meeting, but if it doesn't ring a bell yet, good! We'll be posting map spoilers tomorrow >:)

A great focus of ours in this patch was to give players more control over their Temtem: Swarm, as well as improving visibility across the board. While we won't share all our tricks yet, we can tell you about one great change we did: as per your requests, we've added a new slider in the Settings menu that let's you alter the transparency of your Techs, allowing you to make them less intrusive if they bother you.[/p][p] Following all the received community feedback, we've been manually adjusting many individual Techniques, trying to make them less intrusive, but at the end of that road we figured: why not let you peeps choose that? So you can now control how intense you'd like to see Player Techniques! You will also see the Techs from your co-op partners with the opacity you've set for yourself, meaning that if your opacity is set to 30%, you will see your partners' Techs at 30% opacity, while if they have it at 100% they will see your at 100%! All the choice with as little intrusiveness as possible! [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
And speaking of customization, would thou like to live more challengingly? Challenge yourself to the max with 5 new Hacking level modifiers: extra Minibosses, dissappearing pickups and enemies with a chance to leave waste pools, explode or be shielded. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
We also wanted to bring back Mayhem Drive, although it seems it had bypassed our filters and is in the game since 0.7. If you hadn't noticed it yet, it's a fantastic pick-up that releases all Techniques with no cooldown during 5 seconds. Keep an eye out for it from now on!

These are all the spoilers we can share about 0.8 for now, but remember there's a new playable Temtem coming, new Techs, a new Arena with a new boss and mini-bosses, an entirely revamped Kudos system and menu, more QoL changes, balance bug fixes and more. And what's best? Plenty of that came from your suggestions, so it's extra especial!
See you around for some more spoilers, Tamers, but until then...

have fun and Temtem up! ːtemloveːːswburnː[/p]

Another step forward! Check out the July edition of our living roadmap!

Hello, Tamers!
[p][/p][p]We hope you're doing great in the intense summer temperatures. One day more, we gather here to talk about the upcoming future for Temtem: Swarm, as we've been doing after every big update. [/p][p]Endless Inferno has been a fierce patch, with our first-ever Fire Tem, Raiber, the Kisiwa arena and the endless (hehe) entertainment that are the Hacking Levels. With the blazes of 0.7 and it's companion, 0.7.1, still burning bright, we can pause and take a look into our next big content update, 0.8, and further! So here's a recap of the more substantial changes coming to your Swarms in the near future. [/p][p]As usual, remember that, while we're posting it and it is totally official, everything here is still subject to change, be replaced or be rescheduled. [/p][p][/p][p]If you're familiar with us and our future plans, you know we don't include any sort of dates, and we try to keep things open to possible changes. But if you're familiar with our vibes, you know there'll be many spoilers as the time gets closer![/p][p] We don't have a name for the next update just yet, but we'd love to hear your wild guesses on it! What Arena and new playable Tem do you guess the 0.8 version will contain? We'll be checking your replies in our social media and Discord server.[/p][p] As usual, there will be new Techniques, Synergies and Gears, but there will also be more and better Hacking Levels to explore and conquer! Plus new Glitches to really put yourself to the test.[/p][p] We're really paying attention to issues brought up by our community (you!) in previous patches, so there's a focus on addressing areas that were mentioned by the community. You can identify all the community-suggested changes thanks to the little πŸ‘₯ icon! Kudos are getting improved and revamped, with new in-game tracking for them and a complete overhaul of the Kudos section to improve legibility and accessibility. The Floor is Lava, a spot that has been often brought up as hard to see, is also getting improved to tackle this issue players have. And, in the same vein of making the game as pleasing and comfortable for players as possible, we'll be creating settings to customize your cursor in 0.8 too![/p][p]Remember Temtem: Swarm is still in Early Access, and as such, open to your feedback and suggestions! Please let us know your ideas and suggestions through our Discord server; please search around first to see if someone else has proposed the same thing. We do our best to read everything, even though we cannot reply to the majority of it, and it helps us shape Temtem: Swarm into a fantastic game. Thank you for your energy and help! [/p][p]With every new update we get closer to a better Temtem: Swarm! Thank you for all your support so far: we hope you'll continue to enjoy Temtem: Swarm in the future! [/p][p][/p][p]Until then, have fun Tamers! And…[/p]
Temtem up!

The Temtem: Swarm demo is back online!

The Temtem: Swarm free demo is back online, and available for everyone who wants to give our chaotic bullet-heaven a try without paying in advance!

Patch 0.7.1 just launched, and between the many cool, community-suggested changes we introduced we also have brought back our free demo! We want everyone to have the chance to give Swarm a try, and we also want to welcome new players into our world! To that end, we've created a demo that will give everyone a good taste of what Swarm really is. If you enjoy our demo, please consider checking out the full game too!

In your Temtem: Swarm demo adventure you'll start with the lovely Platypet and Smazee by your side, our beloved starters! As you play and unlock Spots, you'll get the chance to hatch Oree and play with it as well! And later down the road you'll have a chance to meet Innki, a fan-favorite of all, but if you want to play it please dive into the full game! These Tems are very different from each other, so we hope you explore them all and experience their many different playstyles.

As for where you'll be playing, welcome to the Cipanku Arena! Enjoy the neon-drenched island where ancient pagodas and rickety wooden bridges clash with high-tech labs and digital chaos. A dearly beloved arena in the OG Temtem game, now at your reach in our Demo!

Any and all progress you make in the demo will transfer to the full game if you decide to step in! And the best part is that nothing is required from you, it will just automatically happen! We wanted to ensure the transition was as subtle and easy as possible.

Another fantastic thing: you'll be playing with Tamers from the full game and the demo alike, so you can join any friends that were playing, and meet new players you synergize with. Just keep in mind that, in order to be able to play Co-op with them, they need to meet you where you are, on the Cipanku Arena and without any Hacking Level. Hacking Modes, which are advanced and challenging ways to play, need to be unlocked in the full game. But if you've liked the demo I'm sure you'll get there in no time!

A fantastic chance to try out Temtem: Swarm for free, and a great way to welcome patch 0.7.1! If you're curious about our freshest patch you can read the patch notes here.

We hope you all give the free demo a try, and that you enjoy it! Find the free demo here!

See you soon for more, Tamers! Until then, have fun and Temtem up!

Patch 0.7.1

Important Notice

  • The Temtem: Swarm demo is back!

    • You'll be able to play the Cipanku arena with Platypet, Smazee and Oree.
    • Any progress you make in the demo will transfer to the full game when you purchase it.
    • Demo players are able to play with players from the full version, as long as they're playing on the Arenas available in the Demo and without Challenge Modes.
    • If your friends are on the fence about picking it up, please let them know they can now try the game entirely for free!
New stuff

  • We're introducing 4 new Neutral TechniquesΒ that can be used by all Tems.

    • They're Rotten Zone, Rainbow Guard, Expanding Force and Darkness.
    • Each of these also has a synergy associated.

  • πŸ‘₯On top of this, all Temtem have gained access to previously-existing Neutral Techs.

    • This will effectively duplicate the Tech Pools of all Temtem, and should help make runs more unique with the broader range of Techs.

  • We've added connection indicators to lobbies.

    • We already had them on the lobby explorer, but now you'll also be able to see the strength of your connection with the host even in private lobbies.

  • Created new Kudos for the new Neutral Techniques.
  • We've added a little invulnerability time after levelling up and choosing a perk, similar to the one we get after evolving.
  • πŸ‘₯We've added a new option for players with a full build to auto-select their perks.

    • When your build is full, the next level up will show you a checkbox to auto-select either Pansuns or health items.
    • Once you make your choice it will stay that way until the end of the match.

  • πŸ‘₯Likewise, we've introduced a setting to skip the animation and automatically get all rewards out of chests for players who have a full build.

    • Like with Perks, players will need to check a box while picking a chest so the change can be applied on all chests moving forwards.
    • Pickable items, like the speed boots, Magnets or the invulnerability shield, will spawn on the map so the player can pick them up when they desire.

  • We've added a new pop-up the first time you visit the Skill Tree of a newly unlocked Temtem.

    • It will display the info on how many Linked Pansuns you have in that Skill Tree.
    • Linked Pansuns are Pansuns that can only be spent in that particular Skill Tree. They are used first when upgrading Skill Tree Nodes.

Β
Improvements

  • πŸ‘₯We've focused a lot of efforts in this patch on tackling the issues with pool dilution:

    • To start with, we've increased the chance of getting perks that synergize with any of your equipped perks.

      • You must have the synergy unlocked for this to happen. Make sure you complete many Kudos to unlock everything!

    • We have further lowered the chance of perks that you don't select from appearing in further level ups.
    • We've increased the chances of getting 4 perk slots when we have a full build.

      • This was previously only based on the Luck skill, but now we have added a 40% base bonus to it.
      • With enough Luck skill, the possibilty can grow to reach a 100% chance.

    • The base probability of Techs showing on the level up when the player has all their Tech slots filled has been reduced to a 20%, so the possibility of being offered a Gear goes up to 80%.
    • We have increased the number of blocks, rerolls and snoozes to 5 each.

  • We have set some measures to prevent and control theΒ issue causing players who had suffered a crash to experience corrupt save files.

    • We'll still be closely monitoring to ensure swift action if something comes up.

  • We've take some measures to improve and prevent performance issues on Hasty and Endless Mode,

    • We've given a performance review pass to Swarm enemies and fixed a past mishap, which willΒ improve performance across the board.
    • We've set a soft cap on the amount of Swarm enemies shown on screen.

      • Undefeated enemies that would normally re-spawn around the player character will now de-spawn if the cap has been reached.
      • This only affects normal Swarm enemies, and doesn't affect bosses, mini-bosses or powerful enemies.

  • πŸ‘₯We have given map visibility a complete review pass:

    • We've shrunken or moved map elements, such as rocks on the borders of the Arenas.
    • We've added transparency to props and elements that are scattered around the map, so that if players come close to them they can still see through.
    • With this we hope to improve the visibility players have during their runs, and to prevent the player character from disappearing behind obstacles.

  • We've added a blinking effect to the markers to the No Hit and Art Restoration spots so they're easier to complete.
  • We're making changes to prevent the HUD being hidden in the Settings for returning players.

    • All HUDs will now be toggled ON by default, but you can turn them off in the Settings Menu.
    • If you had set your HUD off on Settings, you will need to redo this again after this patch. Apologies for the inconveniences.

  • We've increased the width of the Temtem selection menu box so that you have to scroll less.
  • We've removed the check symbol on the Swarm map selection to avoid confusion.
Balance

  • We've greatly increased the amount of Pansuns that newly unlocked Tems receive.

    • If you had already unlocked said Tems, you'll get the extra Pansuns when you log in.
    • These Pansuns will be tied to the Temtem you receive them on and will only be usable in that Temtem's Skill Tree.
    • You can see the change for each Temtem lower below.
    • This change will drastically improve the grind required to enjoy a new Temtem. Go ahead and give them all a try!

  • We've adjusted the Pansuns received from rejecting a Glitch in Co-op so they take into account the number of players in the run.
  • We've reworked Experience Chests so that they better adapt to the momentum of the match.

    • This means the further you're in a match, the more experience these chests will drop.
    • From minute 15 onwards, the experience rewards already overcome the maximum reward you could get before.

  • πŸ‘₯We've corrected the damage multiplier when using a technique that's both effective and ineffective against a double-type Temtem.

    • It was previously 0.91, and it's now 1, as they cancel each other's typing advantage and disadvantage.

  • πŸ‘₯Fixed Quartz Shield not activating on very rare occasions.
