Temtem: Swarm Spoilers, day 5 - The mystery of Umbra

Hi, Tamers! Our Spoiler (working) Week is coming to its end, but what could be more magical and mystical than to close it off talking about Umbras?

Check out day 1, 2, 3 and 4 for all the spoilers!
Pretty in black
Umbras are an even rarer, way darker color variation of Temtem. If Luma Tems are all about different, oftentimes bright colors, Umbra are their gothic counterpart.

Umbras are rumored to have been originated from Galios' power, whose dark energy seems to fuel the black and purple color Umbras share. They were a hot topic during Temtem's development, with the community being torn on whether they were real or not. Sure enough, they were, and will join the Temtem: Swarm's roster in patch 1.0!

Umbras will also be tied to the Prestige System, just like Lumas, but being the more infrequent twin, they'll be achieved after reaching Prestige Level 2.

We've hidden an Umbra Temtem in this picture, can you find it?

This marks the end of our Spoiler Week, just in time for Christmas! We hope you've enjoyed this peek into patch 1.0, and that you're more eager than ever to discover everything in it. We'll continue working hard (after a short holiday break) so that we can bring you great news about 1.0 as soon as we can!

Temtem: Swarm Spoilers, day 4! Meet one of the new playable Temtem.

Hello again, and welcome to a slightly belated day 4 of the Temtem: Swarm spoiler week! We're nearing the end of it, but today's post is going to delight most of you because we're going to talk about one of the new playable Tems and its very interesting evolutions.
Triple threat
First up, a riddle: this Temtem is technically part of a three line evolution, but that doesn't mean it evolves twice. Can you guess who it is??

If you guessed Venx, you are absolutely right! This Neutral Temtem is the newest addition to the playable Temtem roster, and it's such a special one because of its exclusive, split evolutionary path.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Venx has two possible evolutions: a mental one, called Vental, and a Melee one, called Venmet. In OG Temtem, Venx would evolve into one or the other depending on the Trait they had, but that's not the case for Temtem: Swarm, since Tems here all initially have one Trait. Instead, once Venx levels up enough to evolve, the level-up screen will give you the option to choose whether you want to continue playing with Vental or Venmet.

While the three of them share Venx's Trait, Vental and Venmet have very different stats, access to different Technique pools, and a unique Ultimate each! Regardless of Venx's cool split evolution, you can choose not to evolve it, like with any other playable Temtem. It has its own set of stats, Technique pool, and unique Ultimate, but since its Trait works to empower the attacks of its evolutions, we recommend evolving! We're really intrigued to know which evolution will be more popular among Temtem: Swarm Tamers.

We hope you've been enjoying these posts, and that you're excited to see what we're going to share tomorrow today!
See you then, Tamers!

Temtem: Swarm Spoilers, day 3! The good, the bad and the shiny: Lumas!

Hello Tamers, and welcome to another entry in our Spoiler week! We're starting off strong this week with a first look at Luma Temtem, and a little bit of insight on how to get them. Let's go!
The shinier, the better
Luma Tems are a staple in our original multiplayer creature-collector game, Temtem. These Tems are way rarer than their normal counterparts, and sport different, fun colors, making them a sought-after treat for many Tamers. We knew from the start that we wanted to include these exceptional variations into Temtem: Swarm, and patch 1.0 will be the perfect stage for these stars to shine!

By now you might be wondering how to get your hands on a Luma in Temtem: Swarm, so let's learn about the Prestige System.
The Prestige System
Lumas in the OG Temtem game are luck-based, with a 1/2000 chance of showing up, but it will not be the case in Temtem: Swarm. Games in the survivors genre, like Swarm, have an undeniable RNG factor in the form of Technique pools, projectiles firing off and more, so we wanted the road towards Luma variations to be a certain, straightforward one free of RNG.

That's where Prestige comes in: win a match with a fully upgraded Skill Tree, and then reset said SK to unlock Prestige Level 1. Perform this loop more times to unlock further Prestige levels, each of which will grant you bonuses, like new passives for both that Temtem and all playable Tems, and other juicy rewards. The Luma version of a Temtem is unlocked after winning a match at Prestige level 1, and from that moment on you'll be able to choose between the Luma version and the regular version of the Tem at the character selection menu.

This means playing consistently with a Temtem is a guaranteed way to eventually obtain its Luma, as well as unlocking improvements for it. No luck involved in this process!

We hope you're ready to work hard for your favorite Temtem's Luma, Tamers! There's much more to the Prestige system than what we told you today, but we don't want to spoil everything for you just yet! You'll be able to discover it for yourself once patch 1.0 hits the platforms.

See you tomorrow for the exciting reveal of one of the new playable Temtem. Don't miss it!

Temtem: Swarm Spoilers, day 2! Future new Arena: The Evershifting Tower.

Hi Tamers! Welcome to the second day of our Spoiler week, where we share info and spoilers about the patch we're working on, patch 1.0! Today we're going to discover the new Arena you're going to visit next!
The Evershifting Tower
Welcome, everyone, to the Evershifting Tower, a miracle of digital engineering and procedural generation! As its name implies, this Arena changes from run to run, so neither you nor your Tems will get a moment of peace in this Arena!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Instead of creating the layout for the Arena from the get-go, as we've been doing in the past, for The Evershifting Tower we've created 150 different tiles, tiles which are then procedurally arranged at the start of every run, making for an immense number of possible layouts.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

But that's not the only thing being procedurally generated in this new Arena: waves throughout the match will be different, too! Apart from Digital enemies, which will always be present, the elemental type of the waves will change, spawning new enemy Temtem of that type every minute. No more getting all comfortable because you have a type advantage! The Evershifting Tower will keep you on your toes for the duration of the run.
We've also randomized the kind of spots that are more likely to appear during a run, meaning on some runs you'll get more Pansun Spots, yet more Experience spots in others, and the same goes for Glitches or Chest spots.

Being the final Arena in Temtem: Swarm, we've made it extra challenging by adding a random set of buffs to enemies: at the start of every match one big buff, one medium buff and one small buff are applied to the enemies' HP, Damage or Speed at random. You'll be able to see these buffs in a sign at the beginning of the run, so you can adapt and overcome as you play!

Are you ready for the most challenging Arena we've ever created, Tamers? Stay tuned for the next spoiler on Monday, where we'll show you a first look at one Luma Temtem! See you soon, Tamers!

Temtem: Swarm Spoilers, day 1 - Price increase and release window

Hello, Tamers, and welcome to day 1 of our spoiler week!

We're here to share some spoilers about 1.0, starting with two really important questions: how much, and when.
Temtem: Swarm price increase
Temtem: Swarm's price will increase to $12.99/€11.99 once the Winter Sale ends, which is on January 5th, 2026.

We've come a long way since we first launched on Early Access a little over a year ago. Temtem: Swarm has grown a lot, and as content has increased, we believe so did it value as a game. To reflect the added value we’ll be increasing the price a tad. We’re having a discount this Winter Sale, with 25% off the previous price. The price increase to $12.99 will only take effect immediately after the Winter Sale ends on January 5th, 2026.
Players who already own Temtem: Swarm won’t be impacted by this, so with the Winter Sale going on and the 1.0 patch gearing up, now is the perfect moment to become a Temtem: Swarm player!
Release Window
We know you're super eager to know a date for the 1.0 launch, but we're currently deep in development and cannot pinpoint a day yet! What we can share with you is that we're working towards a Q1 release in 2026, keeping in mind that we have holidays coming up, for both our team and... the console companies.
Console(s)!!!???
That's right! One of the reasons why we're taking a bit longer with patch 1.0 is that we're working on porting Temtem: Swarm to console(s). As you all might already know from our Temtem run, the porting process comes with its own set of technical challenges, and tackling those properly is a big part of our current workload. That's why we're still unsure about sharing more, and about when we'll be ready to launch patch 1.0.
We like to disclose more about a topic once we're super confident in the progress, so we're keeping our aces up our sleeves for now! Our goal is to continue making steady progress, get to a more stable point soon and be able to share much more about what's coming and when. We know this update is taking longer than usual, and we're super thankful for your patience as we try to bring the fun of Temtem: Swarm to even more players across the globe!

That's it for today! These were very serious, 🤓 matters, so tomorrow we'll jump right back into the game and discover the new Arena of patch 1.0! Stay tuned, Tamers, and Temtem up!
