Presidential Bulletin #3
Intro
Greetings, Runners!
Our team at Brazen Blaze continues to work hard towards the upcoming Open Beta Test scheduled for this Spring, 2024. Yes, it’s already Spring, but we promise we’re a little ways towards the start of the Open Beta, and we appreciate your prolonged patience.
Don’t fret, though. You’ll know when to put on your headsets for another run at the presidential throne!
Today’s issue of our Presidential Bulletin will introduce new features and game rules we’re developing. While the game rule might take some time to implement, the new feature will be available from the start of the Open Beta Test!
New Feature

Closet
Did you notice that mysterious door in the Lobby that couldn't be entered during the first Open Beta Test in February? That door will be unlocked in this spring's Open Beta Test!

Beyond that door is the “Closet” (pictured above) where Runners prepare for the Presidential War.
In the “Closet”, players can change skins for each Runner and weapon, freely setting their appearance for both the Lobby and subsequent matches.

The above shows a scene of changing Skybolt's skin. You can check both the Runner in full view and the gauntlets and weapons in hand simultaneously!
Skins!
Four types of skins are available: Runner skins, Gauntlet skins, Main Weapon skins, and Sub Weapon skins. You can mix and match these as you see fit. Skins can be obtained through the Battle Pass or the Shop. Details of the Battle Pass and the Shop will be introduced at a later date.
For now, take a look at some examples of Runners equipped with skins that are currently being worked on!

As you can see, we intended for the skins to change a Runner’s atmosphere almost wholly. This will allow individuality while matching up with different Runners in the field, making for a unique experience with every fight you’re in!
New Rule?
Next up, we’re introducing a new rule we’re currently working on!
Regarding the Current Rules
At the moment, only one game rule is available in Brazen Blaze: the 3vs3 Round Match. You win a round by teaming up with two other Runners and defeating all members of the opposing team, and victory is achieved by winning two rounds.
While this rule is common in various other games and is easy to learn, we have received feedback that it can make players feel somewhat guilty until they get accustomed to the controls, as they might inconvenience their team members.
The retention rate of beginners is one of the most critical indicators in competitive games. Therefore, we considered a new rule that allows beginners who have just started Brazen Blaze to play without feeling pressured.
New Rule: 1vs1 Duel (tentative)
We are currently developing a mode that allows for 1vs1 battles, tentatively named 1vs1 Duel.

The biggest difference from the traditional 3vs3 rule is, of course, that in a single match, it’s only you and your opponent.
In 3vs3, you need to be aware of the movement and actions of five other players. In 1vs1 Duel, you can focus solely on one opponent, allowing you to purely accumulate experience in combat movements. Even if you don't play well, you won't negatively affect anyone, so it might be an excellent opportunity to try being more aggressive than usual.

The stages for 1vs1 Duel will also differ from the conventional ones. The larger section in the image above represents the traditional stages, while the smaller section will be the stage for the 1vs1 Duel. Since it's 1vs1, the stages are much more compact, allowing for speedier and more enjoyable combat.
The 1vs1 Duel can be played with just two people, so if you have friends who play Brazen Blaze, you can quickly start a match with them. Even when queuing online, the waiting time for matchmaking should be significantly reduced.
Use the 1vs1 Duel mode to polish your 1vs1 skills, then fight it out in the traditional 3vs3 matches once you’re ready! Of course, becoming the best in 1vs1 will also be a thing - so it’s up to you whether you want to be a teamster or a solo Runner!
Conclusion
We’ve now introduced the “Closet” we’re building, the upcoming skins for Runners, Weapons, and Gauntlets, and the tentative 1vs1 Duel.
The “Closet” and skins will be in the Open Beta Test this spring. In the Open Beta, skins can be purchased with in-game currency at no cost, so try customizing your favorite Runner’s skin at will!
We welcome your opinions on other game rules you'd like to see or what kinds of skins would be interesting! We would be delighted to hear from you on Discord.
