Sanctree Devlog 1.2 - Worldview & Underworld🚀

Hello Guardians!
Today, We’d like to share some insights from our development process for the world and underworld of Sanctree. We hope you find it interesting! 🚀

[h3]【🌟About the Game's Worldview】[/h3]
The worldview of this game originates from a project we created long ago, which includes four completely different worlds: the Prehistoric World, the Sci-Fi World, the Fantasy World, and the Mystical World. Each world operates under different physical, biological, and even magical rules, resulting in unique ecosystems. Players will embark on adventures across these four worlds.
However, the scope of creating all four worlds was too vast, so we decided to start with the "Prehistoric World." The most distinctive feature of this world is that plants possess subjective consciousness. In this world, insects are rampant and highly aggressive, prompting plants and birds to form an alliance against them.



Different plants have evolved unique weapons based on their characteristics (for example, the Spitting Cucumber uses its seeds as shrapnel), but plants cannot move.
Therefore, birds have evolved arms to wield plants as weapons against insects.🔫⚔️

[h3]【🌟Concepts for Exploring the Underworld】[/h3]


Our envisioned underworld is composed of various ecosystems (such as spider caves, ⛵coral forests, and other confidential environments). Each ecosystem boasts distinct artistic styles, resources, monsters, dungeons, and a variety of treasures.


There are indestructible bedrock barriers and upper-level BOSS nests between different ecosystems. Thus, every stage of the counterattack offers a new experience (unlocking certain gameplay systems along the way).

Sanctree Devlog 1.1 -- Forging System 🔔

Hello, Guardians!
It's been a month since the prologue/demo of Sanctree was released! 🎉 The initial version of the game had many bugs and some spaces needing optimization. We have received a lot of feedback from players, and we are very grateful for both the support and the constructive criticism. We appreciate that you took the time to play our game and help make it better!💖

As the Steam Next Festival is end, we have finally completed the development work of the previous phase, and during the festival, we implemented the Water Conservancy System into the game.

In the next phase, we will gradually optimize some of the shortcomings mentioned by players over the past month and start developing the new content we had previously planned. This includes a UI overhaul, gameplay experience improvements, combat system enhancements, and entirely new environments, dungeon bosses, talent systems, fluid systems, hybrid systems, forging systems, quest systems, shop systems, and more. We will introduce these in our upcoming devlogs! 📣

[h3]This time, we bring you a preliminary introduction to the forging system![/h3]

Weapons, equipment, and even items will have different affixes, which will affect various properties of the items and characters. Forging affixes will be displayed in colored text in the item information box.

Players can spend currency (which can be obtained by selling items or completing quests, to be detailed in the shop and quest systems) to add affixes to specified items through the forge.

The number of affixes that can be added to different items will vary; some items can have up to 4 affixes, while others can have only 1. The same item can be reforged multiple times by spending currency.

Affixes can be positive or negative. Don’t worry about bad luck—players can lock in their preferred affixes and only reforge the unlocked ones, though locking affixes will cost some additional currency.

Use the forging system to enhance your equipment and weapons! Rest assured, your investment will not disappoint you!

Sanctree Demo Patch Note on Jun.19

Guardians! Thank you all for your recent feedback.
Please note: Currently, the demo may experience multiplayer connection failures due to the great physical distance between players. It is recommended to use the Gearup accelerator, hoping to resolve your issue. We will also work on optimizing this kind of problem in the final version game!
Today, we have an urgent patch update 0.4.5 with the following details:



Fixed issue where players would fall into the ground when entering a dungeon from a ladder.
Fixed issue where NPC deaths could sometimes cause the population count to become negative.
Fixed error caused by placing a backpack into its own expanded inventory slot.
Fixed crash that occurred when the host player exited the game after a client player disconnected due to high latency or crashes.
Fixed issue where UI sound channels would shift.
Fixed cross-dimension display of player names.
Fixed issue where wooden spikes would disappear and be ineffective when built on bugs.
Fixed issue where mini-map icons would repeatedly appear and be positioned incorrectly.
Fixed issue where player-built hives would not spawn monsters on easy difficulty.
Fixed issue with mouse interaction optimization options for client players working abnormally.
Fixed some animation stuttering and playback issues for both host and client players.
Fixed partial mouse offset issues in fullscreen mode.
Fixed the count display in the top bar.
Fixed some NPC pathfinding issues.
Soldiers will now attempt to approach the player's jump-off point when the player jumps.
Soldiers will be teleported to the following player or their own house if they fall for too long.

Sanctree Patch Note v0.4.3

Guardians! Thank you all for your recent feedback.
Please note: We will investigate and resolve the multiplayer lag issues mentioned by some players. We apologize for the poor online experience. Please look forward to the full version of Sanctree!
Today, we have an urgent patch update 0.4.3 with the following details:
Optimized multiplayer lag issue when there are many monsters.
Fix: Monsters clipping through walls in dungeons.
Fix: Lamps placed in any dungeon being visible in all dungeons.
Boss health in dungeons now scales with the number of players.
Modified the recipes for advanced food and drinks

New DEMO Out Now - Water Conservancy System

Hey Guardians!
We are participating in the Steam Next Fest! Based on your feedback and suggestions for the demo and prologue, we have launched a new demo for this event now.



We have been working tirelessly, not only fixing multiple bugs in the game but also introducing a noteworthy new feature in the new demo: The Water Conservancy System

[h2]【About the Water Conservancy System】[/h2]

All of our buildings are constructed within the plant technology system of Sanctree, and plant growth requires a constant supply of water.
Therefore, with the introduction of the Water Conservancy System, all of our production and construction will need to have a water supply to function properly. The map will feature numerous water sources providing initial water flow. Players will need to use diverters, waterways, and other water-related structures to guide the water flow to different platforms, ensuring that the buildings on these platforms operate correctly.



Because of this, the introduction of the Water Conservancy System significantly impacts the operation of the existing game systems. Due to this update, cities in previous save files will cease to function. We regret to inform you that previous version save files will no longer be usable after this update.
This may require you to rebuild your cities, but we are committed to adding more exciting game systems to make the game richer and more enjoyable.

To ensure the stability of the demo/prologue, starting with this version, the free demo and prologue of Sanctree will only receive updates for bug fixes and optimizations, with no new gameplay features being added. For more content, please follow our future devlogs and the full release of the game!
