Experimental Branch Now Available!

Hello everyone,


We’ve got some exciting news! The Experimental Branch is now live, bringing major gameplay improvements, new biomes, and expanded mechanics. This update represents the final iteration of our experimental build before the official launch, and we’d love for you to jump in and share your thoughts!

It's recommended that you've played the main game for a couple of hours before going into the Experimental Branch.


What’s New?
  • Two New multi-biomes Maps: One medium and one large map to test different playstyles and biomes.



  • 15+ New Buildings: Expanding your city’s possibilities with more variety and depth.
  • New Biomes & Population Quests: Three distinct biomes bring unique population types, challenges and dependencies.
    • Plain Biome
    • Desert Biome
    • Snow Biome


  • Dynamic House Requests: You can now change the resources houses consume via the city center.
  • Interdependent Population System: Higher-tier cities now rely on lower-tier cities, encouraging multi-city management.



  • Multiple Production Recipes: Some production buildings now support different crafting options (e.g., juice makers can use apples or dates).



  • Improved Game Balance & Polish: Fine-tuned resource colors, building visuals, and overall game balance.



How to Access the Experimental Branch?
  1. Right-click the game in your Steam Library.
  2. Go to Properties > Betas.
  3. Select the Experimental branch from the dropdown menu.
  4. Update your game and start playing!


We're officially Steam Deck Playable! Enjoy the game seamlessly on your Steam Deck for a great portable experience.

Patch #5 (v0.3.1)

Patch #5 is live including some minor bug fixes and changes.

Fixed:
  • Various localization issues and rephrasing in the handbook.
  • "Per 1 min" text in the resources dashboard was too large in some languages to fit properly.
  • Text on houses UI without a city center text was too small in some languages.
  • "Population satisfaction" overlay tooltip would extend off-screen in all languages.
  • Resource path tracking occasionally displayed unusual shapes on roads when selecting a building.
  • Brief display of the previous video when hovering over building buttons with video previews.
  • "Must be linked to another Helipad" message appeared momentarily in empty space when moving between Helipads.
  • Potential bug related to copying certain buildings.

Helipad and Overlay Update (v0.3)

We're excited to share our newest update with you the Helipad and Overlay Update (v0.3) now you can fly over your buildings while getting detailed insights across your island.[/h3]

[h2]Added Overlay and Resources Dashboard System[/h2]
Get detailed insights across your island, from population satisfaction to production efficiency, and pinpoint traffic issues affecting resources. New features include:
  • Resources Dashboard: View total demand, production, and current production of any selected resource, along with overlays for input, output, and storage locations.
  • Population Satisfaction Overlay: Monitor the population satisfaction levels in cities and houses.
  • Production Efficiency Overlay: Check how efficiently production buildings are performing.
  • Road Traffic Overlay: Identify high-traffic roads that may be slowing down your island.
  • Station Efficiency Overlay: Monitor the capacity of individual stations.
  • Warehouse Capacity Overlay: Track storage levels across warehouses.


[h2]Helipad Stations[/h2]
Build Helipad Stations to move a lot of resources in bulk between them above everything in a straight line.




[h2]Train Tunnels[/h2]
Rails can now pass through mountains with newly added tunnel capabilities.



[h2]3 New Sandbox Levels[/h2]
Explore three unique levels designed to showcase the new helipad stations and tunnel-enabled trains, including a special level set entirely in caves!

  • Dividing roads occasionally forming loops, causing gameplay issues.
  • Resource ordering system bug where items wouldn't reorder as expected.
  • Road “ghosting” issue after destruction.
  • Achievement system bug preventing the tutorial achievement from unlocking (this will now unlock if you've completed the tutorial).
  • Occasional resource delivery bug affecting homes.
