Early Access Release Schedule



Greetings from Team Tapas!

It’s hard to believe December is almost upon us. We’ve been so immersed in development that we didn’t notice how Christmas carols have already crept into the streets. We know you’ve been eagerly waiting for us to give further updates, so before the year ends, we wanted to share our current plans with you.

Early Access

We have been carefully reviewing all the feedback you have given us from the demo, and we are currently developing the Early Access version. Our target release date for the Steam Early Access is May 2025.

The demo version of the game you played only had two bosses and was only a part of Chapter 1. The Steam Early Access version will expand the game with three more bosses and complete the game’s story with four additional chapters (total of five story chapters).

In each chapter, you will face the same bosses, but their attack patterns will change and the overall difficulty of each stage will increase. On top of that, each chapter will introduce new systems for you to strengthen Sil, so we hope you will enjoy experimenting with different builds and find strategies to defeat the increasingly challenging bosses.

Below is a detailed outline of our roadmap leading up to our Steam Early Access in May.

Roadmap

[h2]Taipei Game Show Participation (January 2025)[/h2]
For the Taipei Game Show, we will have an updated demo that includes all of Chapter 1. Players will be able to fight against five bosses and see how the story progresses. This will be a valuable opportunity to receive direct feedback from users in person.

To prepare for this event, our entire development team has been fully committed to perfecting this demo version of the game using all of the feedback that you have given us. Further details about the game show will be shared later.

[h2]Stove Early Access Release (March 2025) [/h2]
※ The schedule has changed from February to March.

Initially, we planned to release the Stove Early Access simultaneously with the Steam Early Access. However, as this is our first PC platform release and because we are a small indie development team, we thought that we would face a lot of challenges in terms of staffing, localization, and other issues. So we are planning to first release a partial version of Garden of Witches (up to Chapters 2-3) in Korean on the Stove store.

Our focus for this release will be on testing and gathering feedback from Korean users, so that we can refine the game for the Steam Early Access. Since the Stove Early Access release will be a partial version of the game, we will offer the game at a slightly discounted Early Bird price.

※Please note that even if you do not live in Korea or do not speak Korean, you can still purchase the Stove version from the Stove store, but only the Korean version of the game will be available until the Steam Early Access launch. Once the Steam Early Access is released, the same content and multilingual support will be updated on the Stove store.

[h2]Steam Early Access Release (May 2025)[/h2]
For this version of the game, we aim to release the game with all five story chapters and proper localization for multiple languages. This version will allow players to experience most of the game’s content. During this time, we will gather player feedback and address bugs and other issues so that we can further polish the game.

[h2]Official 1.0 Release (TBD)[/h2]
After leaving Early Access, we will address remaining issues (if any) and work towards including additional endgame content that will follow the conclusion of the story.

Hello, this is Team Tapas!

Today, for all of you who have been eagerly awaiting the release of Garden of Witches, we’re excited to share news about our game’s OST!

We’ve prepared a special trailer, which includes a sneak peak of some of the OST tracks currently in production. You may even recognize some of these tunes from the demo version of the game! 🙂

The OST is set to be released in line with the Early Access launch of Garden of Witches and will be available as an additional DLC on Steam. Select tracks will also be released early on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud, so you can enjoy a little taste beforehand. We’ve been working hard on various aspects of our game (such as this OST) to create a richer and more engaging game experience. So please look forward to what we have in store!

Convenience

  • Fixed an issue where sliders in the settings UI moved too fast as the environment changed.

Other Changes
  • Adjusted the critical hit damage values for Scissors and Counter.
  • When obtaining a new spell, that spell will now appear as a selectable option in the first room of the next run.
  • The enhancement screen will no longer be accessible before starting the first run.
  • Revised various translations.


Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where exploding butterflies do not disappear. Exploding butterflies now will disappear after combat ends or when the first boss enters its second phase.
  • Fixed an issue where abnormal sound and BGM would play when choosing "Give Up" in some battles.
  • Resolved an issue where using Ambush would occasionally cause players to leave the map.
  • The shield created by a passive that lasts for 60 seconds will now only count down during battle.
  • Fixed an issue where normal battle clear accumulated achievements would incorrectly increase when clearing boss fights.
