Bellfortis - Update 1.0.1

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello friends![/p][p]Following the release of the game, we are bringing you the first update that tweaks and improves the gameplay in many ways and adds many small but gameplay-interesting improvements that you have written to us about.[/p][p]The most important is the ability to drag an army around one of your own provinces, which will speed up troop movement. Also important is the ability for provinces to upkeep 1-3 units.[/p][p]In addition to the combat system, which has been tweaked (for example, soldiers are pushing each other less, catapults can destroy defense objects etc.), we've added a much slower combat system that will be welcomed by those who want more control over their soldiers in battle.[/p][p]I hope you enjoy it![/p][p][/p][p]New in the update:[/p]
  • [p]The army can move up to 2 own provinces. However, it can only attack the adjacent land if it has not moved.[/p]
  • [p]Provinces maintain a garrison that the monarch does not have to pay. The crew is 1 to 3 units, depending on the level of the city.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted trade and prices of food and construction material in the shop slightly reduced.[/p]
  • [p]Modified some building properties. For example, the income from the City Center has been increased from 100 to 150 gold.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted (mostly increased) prices of some inventions.[/p]
  • [p]Most political actions depend on prestige only.[/p]
  • [p]Modified random events, their prizes and rewards.[/p]
  • [p]Anglo-Saxon and Celtic cultures have an approach to brewery construction.[/p]
  • [p]Increased font readability and added experimental font enlargement to Options.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where in combat when holding and dragging the right mouse, archers would start shooting at their friendly units.[/p]
  • [p]Fine-tuned collisions and collision behaviour of units on the battlefield.[/p]
  • [p]Added Tactical Battles II battle mode to slow down battles even more. Experimental ;)[/p]
  • [p]Catapult can destroy defense objects now too. And ignite them.[/p]
  • [p]When a battle is triggered, you can now even pick up defensive elements from the battlefield.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where a large amount of enemy units were accumulated in an enemy province.[/p]

[p][/p][p]Dear friends![/p][p][/p][p]The official release of Bellfortis is a week away, but for those of you who supported us in Early Access, we're already bringing you version 1.0. We would like to thank you all. Your support during EA has helped us create this new content. And we hope it's not the last! :)[/p][p][/p][p]And what will you find in it?[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Two new maps - Britannia (large map of the British Isles) and Crisis of the Byzantine Empire.[/p]
  • [p]Added three new factions - Picts, Welsh and Bulgarians.[/p]
  • [p]Added Siege mini-game. If you attack a province with catapults, you can lower the defense and morale of the military garrison.[/p]
  • [p]Added new tracks to the soundtrack and remastered the entire soundtrack.[/p]
  • [p]Modified Town Granaries, Fishpond Cultivation, Windmills and Three-field System invention bonuses.[/p]
  • [p]Added new inventions Piercing Arrows, Ring armour, Explosive mixture and Field kitchen.[/p]
  • [p]Changed the battle gui a bit.[/p]
  • [p]And dozens of minor improvements to the economy, events, etc.[/p]

The release date



Hi!

Instead of a regular update, I have great news for you: We are finally working on version 1.0! Yes! We have scheduled the Early Access completion and release for June 19, 2025!

And what's in store for you? With the release, we'll be adding two new maps - Britannia, a large map of the British Isles, and Crisis of Byzantium, a map of southeastern Europe with a slice of northern Africa.

After the big map of the British Isles, you've probably written the most, there's not much to add. The Byzantine Campaign takes us back to the wild days of the great Byzantine Empire's struggle against its savage neighbours, who were attacking Byzantium from all sides.



With the new maps will also come three new factions, two in the British Isles and one in Eastern Europe. Which ones these are we'll leave as a surprise for you.

But don't worry, even after the final version is released we have more plans for the game and plenty of ideas for improvements.

Update 0.92



Hello friends!

We're preparing new content for the final version of the game, which needs a lot of testing, but we've taken the time to do a smaller update that brings a few changes to the GUI design, gameplay and most importantly the AI behaviour on the map.

News in the patch:
  • Added a battle progress bar at the top of the screen and slightly changed gui design.
  • Archer range increased by 25%.
  • Improved AI city defence system.
  • The new AI also uses turrets for defence.
  • AI can raise the level of provinces.
  • AI can buy upgrades.
  • Added their own cultures to the West Franks (Frankish), Asturias (Asturian) and the Byzantine Empire (Byzantine).
  • Lots of minor tweaks and fixes.
