Major Update 0.8.2: Library, new dungeon, co-op enhancements, and more

Thank you for your support and feedback! We are very inspired and committed to making the game better with every update.
New Dungeon:
- A new dungeon, the Medical Laboratory, has been added. This will be the final dungeon for the Toxic Swamps biome and the starting point for the Rocky Frost. This means that in the future, after beating this dungeon, you will be able to start new runs in the Medical Laboratory.
- In the Medical Laboratory, you might encounter a new monster that instills fear and causes rapid breathing in your character, so be careful with the monster and your oxygen supply!
Library:
- A new room, the Library, is now available in the Hub. Access can be obtained by collecting storyline entries. In the Library, you can see all collected notes and the number of uncollected ones. We plan to add similar sections for Weapons, Monsters, Equipment, and Enhancements in the future.
- Already viewed notes will no longer appear again in the levels.
- The Mystery counter has been removed.
Other Improvements:
- In cooperative play, each player can now perform their own personal actions with objects, independent of other players.
- Added a new monster: a small robot (a good source of spares). The robot will try to escape when it is spotted. It can appear on any level with a low chance, but only after unlocking (conditions are hidden).
- 7 new arts for story notes have been added.
- Visual enhancements with dynamics have been added to the station rooms and Canyon.
- The Reactor complex level is now slightly shorter.
- Additional basic weapons can now be found at all stations except the starting one, providing more options for collecting Mega-Weapon recipes.
Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that allowed characters to pass through certain objects, such as barrels, without obstruction.
- Fixed bugs that caused melee hits to have no visual effect.
- Fixed a bug where the "First Aid Knowledge" powerup did not fully restore health when picking up medkits.
- Fixed bugs in the Swamps and tutorial station levels.

Unfortunately, we were not able to fully finish the tuning and testing of the Swamp boss, so it will be included in the next update. Stay tuned for more news!

What we are working on: Swamp Boss, Medical Laboratory, and Library

Hello! Are there any other survivors here? Thank you for your support and feedback.
We are working on the next update, which will introduce new content:
- Swamp Boss. A large monster with several stages in a separate room from which you cannot escape until the boss is defeated.
- Medical Laboratory. A large final station in the Swamp Biome, where you will encounter new puzzles, monsters, and loot!
- Library. A new room will open in the hub where you can browse unlocked mysteries, weapon recipes, and additional information about monsters and loot.
- Power-ups with new mechanics. We plan to add more interesting power-ups that significantly differ from the current ones, featuring mechanics such as transformation, corpse interaction, creature summoning, new weapons, and more. These mechanics will likely be introduced gradually over future updates, but we want to share this with you now.

For now, these are our plans, and some things may differ in the final version. In addition to what is listed, we will also fix some bugs and introduce various improvements.

Thank you! Hope this isn’t cryostasis.

Major Update 0.8: Residential Station, Melee Combat Changes, Power-ups, and more

Thank you for your support and feedback! We are very inspired and committed to making the game better with every update.
New Dungeon:
- Added a new dungeon: Residential Station. You can find the entrance in the Swamps, and a key card will be required to enter. As with other mini-dungeons, you can find upgrades, equipment, armor, ammunition, and oxygen here, as well as take shelter during the dark and skip the night. You can also discover a new secret and several storyline notes here.
New and Improved:
- You can now disable auto-pickup of weapons, ammunition, and other consumables in the settings from the main menu for both single-player and co-op modes.
- Now, when a gamepad is detected at the start of the game, you will be prompted to choose your control scheme.
- The melee combat system has been revamped. Now, during an attack, the character does not move, making fights with large monsters more challenging. You can now change the attack direction during a swing. The time between attacks has been reduced, and the attack range has been increased.
- Interaction icons have been differentiated to distinguish between searches, storyline notes, and others.
- Added 2 new power-ups, one of which is only available in cooperative mode.
- Added 2 new pieces of equipment.
- Batteries will now appear less frequently during searches, with more other consumables and medkits.
- Different combinations of creatures can now emerge from caves and monster lairs.
- Points of interest on the surface can now be found more frequently in the Swamps.
- The created mega-weapon now has more starting ammunition.
- Monster behavior in large areas has been optimized; they now fall asleep when far away.
- Movement with a shotgun now reduces shot spread less.
- The graphics of picked-up batteries have been changed to make them less confusing with oxygen tanks.
Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that caused animations to significantly affect shooting accuracy. For example, it was much harder to hit while moving backward (and this was not shown in the size of the reticle).
- Fixed a bug where the damage absorption shield of the monster was not functioning correctly (disappearing upon receiving any damage). Now, fighting it will be more challenging.
- Fixed some bugs that could cause rooms to end in a passage into emptiness.
- Fixed a bug with the generation of the Mining Station, which caused many large rooms to repeat one after another.
- Fixed a bug that blocked monster and loot spawns in the large open base in the Swamps.
- Fixed a bug preventing additional key cards from appearing in the Reactor Complex.
- Fixed a bug where reloading would trigger even with a full magazine.
- Fixed a bug where the recipe for the mega-SMG required a shotgun instead of an SMG.
- Fixed a bug with the limit on the number of rounds for inactive weapons, which sometimes led to a reduction in their quantity.
- Fixed the auto-exposure of the camera to be more sensitive to the onset of darkness (the flashlight might not have been visible for the first few seconds of the night).
- Fixed a bug where it was difficult to hit the monster summoning worms.
- Fixed a bug that could prevent the new level from loading during the day transition between levels, resulting in a black screen.
- Fixed a bug where the mega-pistol kill count would reset upon switching weapons.
- Fixed a bug where picking up the base weapon when the mega-weapon was assembled would cause it to be reassembled from scratch.
- Fixed places where players could climb high on rocks.
- Fixed several areas where players could exit beyond the canyon's boundaries.
- Fixed a bug where the reset progress window did not show gamepad button prompts and controls were not functional.
- Fixed a bug where the visual effect of low oxygen might not display.
- Fixed the firing sounds of the mega-revolver.

Public testing - Experimental changes to melee combat

Hello! Are there any other survivors here? Thank you for your support and feedback.

We are working on update 0.8, which will include mini-dungeons in the Swamps, new power-ups and equipment, a variety of monsters in the lairs, and many other improvements.
We are releasing a test version to gather feedback on the changes to melee combat.
What has changed: Movement is blocked during attacks, but you can change the direction of the attack after swinging. To compensate for the immobility, attacks occur more frequently, the hit area has been increased, and it responds better to moving targets.

We want to hear your opinion on these experimental changes.

How to test: Select Ammo and Oxygen in your Steam library. Right-click -> Properties -> Betas -> Switch to development at the top right (you can switch back here whenever you want to use the main version of the game).
We recommend testing in English, as not all new locales have been added to the project.

Thank you! I hope this isn't anabiosis.

I wanted to review my game, but I found out Steam has no such feature

I have always loved roguelikes like TBOI, survivals like Don't Starve (both especially in couch co-op with my wife) and hardcore top-down shooters like Hotline Miami. Finally, I have combined these elements in our game. It's not perfect, and there’s still a lot to improve, fix, and add, but we are ready to work even harder after the game's release. We hope you will understand and help make this game much bigger and better!

P.S. My mom also bought this game and said she would be reading the reviews. Please don't write nasty things here — if you really want to, you can message me privately.

Pros:
+ At some point during development, I became genuinely interested in play new and new runs, though I was afraid that our game might turn out to be boring.

Cons:
- I want much more content.
- Bugs don't want to fix themselves.
