Devlog: Working on our major update!!

[p]Hello Innkeepers![/p][p][/p][p]Lately, we started growing rocket growing in front of our Homebase HQ but some pesky caterpillars ate it all up, leaving nothing behind. And now they have turned into pupae... [/p][p][/p][p]But you don't want to hear about our gardening problems! You're here for more news about Dungeon Inn![/p][p][/p][p]We are still hard at work investigating the issue that prevents the game from progressing after the prologue scene when the game is first launched. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will do our best to resolve this issue as soon as possible![/p][p][/p][p]We've been going through some internal testing and modifications of both the Endless Mode and the story chapter. We are also working to improve the inn's growth mechanic such as how the facility upgrades in the game and skill upgrades. It was honestly quite nerve-wracking reviewing the entire game's system and content that we created in the past and we have to be careful not to accidentally break the game![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And of course, we will be working on the story continuation of Dungeon Inn and the troublesome Chestnut Detective. We will also be adding new ways to play the game, such as including some not-so-fun parts of summer (ahem heat waves ahem)! Devlog: Endless Mode and More Story Chapters!

Greetings Innkeepers!

Over the past month, we've been developing two very crucial and exciting aspects of Dungeon Inn — the Endless Mode and even more story chapters! We know that many of you are waiting with bated breath for these features so we want to ensure that we implement them well.
Facility Uprades
Endless Mode took quite a lot of brainstorming, testing and revision and we believe that what we have will be something that you will greatly enjoy. While we were working on the Endless Mode, we decided to adjust the facility upgrades to give them a bigger and more strategic role in both the Endless Mode and the Story Mode.

Previously, there was little distinction gameplay-wise between the different facilities and the effects of each upgrade was relatively simple. That is why we have reworked the functions and effects of facilities. Within the Endless Mode specifically, it will serve as a stage-based reward that will also be closely tied to skill enhancements.
Story Continuation
We absolutely have to continue the story of Dungeon Inn! Many of you have been wondering what kind of threat and perils Chever, our Chestnut Detective, will bring to the Dungeon Inn! And how will Sara and her friends handle the upcoming challenges? Well... We are just as curious as you are!

The biggest challenge while working on the upcoming story chapters was making sure that the narrative and the level design worked well together! The narrative and the gameplay have to mesh well and make sense together. Simultaneously, we had to ensure that each stage felt well-balanced for players so the game will not feel too difficult or too easy.

Please stay tuned for our Endless Mode and the new chapters! We cannot wait to show you what we have been working on, and hearing from all of you.

As usual, every suggestion and feedback matters to us! If you have any other questions or comments, we would be delighted to hear from you through this Google form.

Devlog: Working on Endless Mode

Hello Innkeepers!

Can you believe it?
It's going to be... May!
Okay, okay, enough jokes! Let's get straight into what we've been up to lately.
Endless Mode
We are excited to announce that we are currently working on an Endless Mode! Many innkeepers have told us they enjoy our main game mechanic a lot and have requested for this feature to be included.

We are currently developing the prototype for this mode, and it is definitely not without its challenges. It was quite difficult to separate the structure of the Endless Mode so that it does not conflict with the existing system in Story Mode.

On top of that, we had to put in a lot of effort to ensure that the charm and fun of Story Mode was well-translated into the Endless Mode as well, all while also ensuring that Endless Mode still offered distinct features and details. That is why we are making a more dynamic suspicion level to make Endless Mode feel more suspenseful and dynamic.
Features we will include:
• Adding a simple event system, such that a simple event will be triggered when a certain number of guests visit
 • Setting rules so that the black market will occur more frequently. When the number of deaths in battle exceed a certain number, a black market event will occur

With all the work and consideration going into this feature, it looks like we'll need a little more time to get the infinite mode ready for you all. Right now, we're still working on a prototype, and after some internal testing and tweaking, we'll be ready to open it up for public testing!

Thank you to all the lovely innkeepers who suggested including an endless mode to the game. We are working hard to create a feature that our players will love and enjoy, so we hope you'll be excited too!
Monthly Goal System
Finally, in the previous update, we added a Monthly Goal System to make the monthly/chapter ranking easier to understand for players. This is after innkeepers have expressed that they didn't really understand how they were being ranked by Mr Dragon.

How did you find the Monthly Goal System we added? We hope that it has helped to make the ranking system in our game clearer. Please let us know your thoughts!

As always, we would absolutely love to hear your suggestions and feedback as it is invaluable to helping us improve the game. If you have any other suggestions or bugs, we would be delighted to hear from you through this Google form.

Devlog: Welcoming Spring and New Master Adventurers!

Hello Innkeepers!

Spring is peeking around and we've got little plant friends for our studio to welcome it. And you'll also be glad to hear that we will also be welcoming some new guests at the Dungeon Inn!
Adventurers Incoming!
We have been hard at work creating new Master Adventurers and their visitation events. We'll continue to add more and more Master Adventurers!

Here's a sneak peek into some of the characters and events we have prepared:

Our end goal is to include 30 of them in the game. We put in a lot of thought into crafting each and every one of our adventurers, but especially our Master Adventurers, so that each of them will be a unique and interesting guest to the inn!

We also have two more super interesting adventurers that will be added to the roster soon!

And what's so interesting about them? Well, they were born from our players' suggestions! Here are the lovely characters that came from your suggestions

We'd love to thank everyone for your enthusiastic participation! We saw a lot of incredible ideas and we really had a hard time picking these two from all the amazing suggestions. We will treat our bug and pumpkin mages with a lot of care and we hope you'll be nice to them when they visit your inn!
Monthly Tribute
Next, we will be working on changing the calculation method of the Monthly Rank by adding monthly target amount and revising the criteria for the monthly rewards (i.e. the special tokens). Currently, the existing rank calculation method was too simplistic and it might get boring if it has to be repeated 12 times through the game. We also wanted to avoid players' low performance in the first one or two stages hindering them for the rest of the game.

That is why we are restructuring the goals such that they are more motivating than punishing for you! We want Dungeon Inn to be a fun game for you and so we created a more dynamic reward system.

We've also made it such that the conditions for achieving the monthly goal are only affected by the current difficulty level. Previously, the monthly target amount varied depending on the week of the month that you change the difficulty level. That is why we believe that this change will make the game more manageable for those who decide to change the difficulty level later on in the game!

We hope the changes we've made to the monthly goals will be well-received by you, and that it will help make Dungeon Inn's game experience much smoother!

As usual, thank you so much for all your support!

If you have any other suggestions or bugs, we would be delighted to hear from you through this Google form.
