Biped 2 Demo Update is Live!

[p]Hello, Bipeds![/p][p][/p][p]We are extremely excited to present a new demo update! We’ve got lots of feedback and made awesome changes to make Biped 2 an even better game for everyone. [/p][p][/p][p]So, what’s new? [/p]
  • [p]Peer-to-peer online connection — no more region selections or any other shenanigans. Now, coop mode works through the P2P connection system, which should drastically improve ping. connection quality and streamline the experience;[/p]
  • [p]Easy and Hard mode selection — we’ve had lots of feedback about the puzzle difficulty and a need for a more relaxed experience, akin to the first game. We’ve added a new difficulty setting, so now you are in full control of your gameplay. Challenge lovers can tackle the hard mode, and if you are here just for the vibes with your friends, the easy mode is a perfect choice for you.[/p]
  • [p]Brand new PVP mode — for the first time ever, Biped will have a 2 vs 2 PVP mode. Race your friends through the levels and see who is the fastest Biped! In the Demo, you can have a taste of one level in this new mode. [/p]
[p]Please share your feedback with us! It is a huge help for us, and we want to hear about your new experience with P2P connection, easy mode, and the PVP challenge. And don’t forget to wishlist and follow Biped 2 on Steam to be first to hear all the exciting news.[/p][p][/p][p]Until next time, adventurers![/p]

Dev Diary: June

[p]Hello, adventurers!
[/p][p]We continue to work on Biped 2 and we are excited to tell you about the development process. Let's find out what's in store for the game in the near future!
[/p][p]Biped: it's not just on the screen anymore![/p][p][/p][p]Thanks to your votes and suggestions, we have chosen the design for toy Bipeds! Soon you will be able to buy plushies in the form of adorable robots — choose between the classic round robot design or the hero of the sequel: robot kitty. Or better yet, don't pick favorites and get both at once.
[/p][p]More locations and mechanics [/p][p]Get ready to conquer water and climb stone walls! Our game designers have designed brand new locations that will bring Biped 2's new mechanics to life. Use the hook to pull yourself up between islets on the water and solve the puzzles that await you in the Temple of Stone.
[/p][p]United we stand[/p][p][/p][p]Having trouble connecting? Too much lag? We have a solution! We will be introducing a P2P connection system into the game: direct connection will allow you to play with your friends all over the world as if you were sitting on the same couch. And if you're really in front of the same screen, that's great — Biped 2 will continue to support local co-op play as well. Just one more reason to get together![/p][p][/p][p]Friends and rivals[/p][p][/p][p]Want to compete as well as cooperate? We are pleased to introduce yet another new feature — PvP mode for two or four players! Fight not only against tricky puzzles, but also against your friends to find out who is the best adventurer.[/p][p][/p][p]Platformers and platforms[/p][p][/p][p]We are excited to announce that Biped 2 will be released simultaneously on all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch, with cross-platform play! We're working hard now to make sure Biped 2 is a great game on all platforms and will delight you with graphics, puzzles, location design, and the ability to play with friends. Stay tuned, and we will share more news with you![/p][p]

Dev Diary: May

Hello adventurers!

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Biped 2 Demo! We're very happy that you liked the demo and today we'll tell you what we're working on.

Thanks to your feedback, a lot of things have already been improved - for example, the camera controls. Also, in response to your comments, we will introduce a difficulty level system and make the tutorial less intrusive! In the release version of Biped 2 there will be two difficulty levels: easy and hard, which will affect not only the complexity of puzzles, but also by the number of tutorials.

We want to make the access to co-op mode as easy and convenient as possible for users, no matter what region they are in. We have taken several steps to improve co-op mode: the Steam version of the game will support P2P-connections for more convenient two-player play. Also, the game will retain the previous local and online co-op modes. The region selection interface will be changed as well - now the player will be prompted to select a region immediately upon switching to online mode. We hope that this will make choosing servers more understandable and transparent for users.

In addition to making technical and quality-of-life improvements, we continue to work on the content of the release version of Biped 2. So, now the team is working on colorful new biomes; these novel natural zones will add more visual diversity and even more interesting puzzles to the game.

We are also actively adding new mechanics to the game! You will be able to use a special hook in new puzzles and new water areas.

This is the end of our diary, but we will surely come back with more details.

Until then, so long and see you again, bipeds!
