[p]Hello everyone! I wanted to update you all on a development progress of Free City update 0.3, and share a little more info about what's going to be in the city. [/p][p][/p][p]Right now we are completed basic scripting and character work for most major quests in the city, and finished level design for about a third of the level. Let's take a look at some of city districts that are more or less finished with props and models. They arent populated with citizens yet, so keep this in mind:[/p][p][/p][h2]Slums[/h2][p]

[/p][p]The poorest distric in the city. A chaotic jumble of flimsy wooden buildings filled with dirt, beggars and stench. Even if you somehow end up there, you won't find anything but trouble, adventure, and encounters with bandits. At the center of the slums there is city prison, the one where our prisoner origin players escaped from:[/p][p]

[/p][p]The industrial alley is a small cluster of workshops, warehouses, and workers. The place is filled with smoke from furnaces, the clanging of hammers, and the shouts of crafters. Players can come here to learn new skills and talk about crafting.[/p][p][/p][h2]Mage academy [/h2][p]

[/p][p]The main mage academy of Free City. This is where all the best mages in Esnon study the secrets of magic. Players learning magic can come here and take a few lessons from local professors. It also houses the largest library in Esnon.[/p][p][/p][h2]Cathedral of Light[/h2][p]

A place where priests and paladins worship the light, help the suffering, and guide the lost onto the path of righteousness.[/p][p][/p][p]There will be much more in the city, which I will show in later progress reports. The city will also have a city market, a council hall, a wealthy neighborhood, a port, a city cemetery, etc. [/p][p][/p][h2]Crime system[/h2][p][/p][p]We are also planning a crime system for the Free city. If you attack citizens, commit crimes or steal, you will increase your infamy level, which, after certain amount, will make city guard attack you on sight and close all merchants except shady ones for interaction. Biggest infamy levels will cause elite guards to constanly attack you at all times, making it very hard to even be in the city without stealth. You will need to go the city prison and pay a fine, to restore your infamy level to default numbers.[/p][p][/p][p]A pickpocket skill will be added in banditry, allowing you to pickpocket every NPC with a risk of triggering him and increasing your infamy.[/p][p][/p][h2]Sewer system[/h2][p]

[/p][p]Underneath a city players will find a huge interconnected system of ancient tunnels hundreds years old. Its a huge dungeon area, in which you will find monsters, bandits, secret society bases, powerful bosses and other stuff. This will be a huge place to explore and find something cool, and a lot of quests will lead you there.[/p][p][/p][h3]Other stuff that will be in the update:[/h3][p][/p]

- [p]8 secondary quests, varying from large and complex to simple ones[/p]
- [p]dozens of different story mettings and interactions, quests and mysteries[/p]
- [p]New equipment, new recipes for crafting[/p]
- [p]You will be able to buy armor for your dog companion[/p]
- [p]And much, much more[/p][p][/p][h2]When will all this come out?[/h2]
[p]We are aiming to release the update this autumn. October is a more realistic release window, but November is also possible. We are trying to make the content as polished as possible, so we will take as much time as we can.[/p][p]Husbandry probably wont be included in this content update, it will be a part of the next update right after this one.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your support![/p]
