Demo Build 1.9.6

Hello,
What's new in Demo update 1.9.6?
Golel Demo update 1.9.6 has a few improvements.
 • Used Quick items that reach 0, do not disappear from the quick item menu. So picking more of the same item, will refill the same item spot you placed it at.
 • Bug fixes, quality issues, performance. A big update in Unity version, hopefully not major bug introduced.
 • Windowed full screen mode that was requested by a lot of people.
 • There is a "Loot all" button, and you can see more "combat keys" under the controls menu.
 • Mushroom can be opened from both side(there is one in the beginning that could be opened only from one side).
More future updates for the Demo.
Improving existing language support.
There needs to be improvements in terms of translation, and space to contain the text so it won't overlap.
More bug fixes, mostly visual.
Support for SteamDeck in the future(which will improve support for Linux).
Not sure about Mac.
Also significant improvement in VR controls.
Full version update.
There was quite some progress in chapter 2. Still didn't finish chapter 2, but it is progressing.
New interesting ideas and mechanics.

If you found any issue, if you have any question, if you have any feedback, any request...

Demo Build 1.9.3.

Hello,
What's new in Demo 1.9.3
The have been a few demo version updates.
Several performance and bug issues were fixed.
In version 1.9.2 VR didn't work, it works now in 1.9.3 again.
In addition, I have gone through and improved several localization languages issues:
German, Japanese, Korean, Polish and Russian.

I will keep improving locazliation issues in future updates as well.
Full game
There has been a lot of work on the full game as well.
But the recent week I was mostly focused on issues pertaining for both Demo and Release.
Like performance, Unity version update, and bugs.
Now I am going to continue focus again on the full version.
What's next?
I am going to keep building the chapters for the full version.
I am going to add more languages support.
Improve quality of life issues.
I want to have a dedicated Linux machine(perhaps a Steam Deck), so I could work on the Linux build.
I want a better steam page banner, I am using AI for it again. In the future I want to commission this to a real artist.

Any support you can show by letting friends know about this game, and ask them to wishlist could help.

If you have any questions, feedback, suggestions, bugs, or anything you want to ask and say, please do so in the discussions(or here in the comments).

Thank you,
Ofer.

Demo Build 1.8.7. Chapter 2 progress.

Hello,
Demo Build 1.8.7
This Demo build has a few improvement.
You can now control UI audio separately.
NPC speech audio is higher now.
There are some UI improvements when dragging to quick item and talents.
Other bug fixes.
Chapter 2
I have made a lot of progress in Chapter 2.
I already have 5 new monsters. New equipment, weapons, armor, magic items.
More environment, new levels, new riddles.
I plan to have at least 12 unique monsters to this chapter, and many more weapons and items.
Update in Library
I did not notice that the client did not display the update events.
I hope this event will appear in the library, as it seems people think the Demo has not been updated since July.
What else?
I will continue to work on chapter 2. And will make improvements to the Demo as well.
I have also created a new box art. What do you think of it?

As always, please let me know if you have any questions, have any feedback or anything you want to say.

Thanks,
Ofer

Golel Demo 1.8.6 and News.

Hello,
News
I have been working on the Demo, but also making progress in the full version.
There have been some bugs and issues that I had to dedicate quite a few days to solve and improve.
Some bugs even in the Unity engine itself that I had to report.
Now I am already back to progressing the development.
Demo 1.8.6
Bug fixes.
Quality improvements in the visuals and performance.
I have add support to the Turkish language as well.
Water might look a little nicer now.
There are still many fixes I need to do to language support. Mostly, words that are too long for the UI.
I will have to go over all languages and make sure they all fit in the UI.
For now, it is decent support as is.
Full game
I had to work quite some time on bugs that were related to the Unity engine.
But I also made progress in chapter two. Adding new monsters, riddles, items and more level design.
Progress seems to be good. I hope I can tell you that I am near completing chapter 2 soon.
Finally
A new trailer has update. Tell me what you think if you have time.
Do you find games in the Discovery Queue? Do you think the Steam Page of Golel will work well in the discovery queue?
Did you ever get a Demo in the discovery queue?

If you have any feedback, opinions, suggestions, bugs, issues with localization, please let me know in the discussions.

Thank you,
Ofer.

Golel Demo build 1.8.1

Hello,

Demo Build 1.8.1

I have upload Golel Demo 1.8.1.
This build contains improvements to gamepad support.
It contains improvement to quality issues.
There is now also support for cloud saves.
Notice, that the cloud does not save the image/screenshot of the save, but missing screenshots will not affect your ability to load the save file.
I have also add support to Italian, Traditional Chinese, French and Spanish(Latin America).
The demo is now marked with partial support for Gamepad.
I would like to make it full support of gamepad.

What's next for the Demo?

I want to add more language support to the Demo.
I want to make official full support for gamepad.
I want to make a Linux build, the Linux build is not working properly right now. I delay this until I get a Linux machine.
I would potentially also want to make a Mac build.
There are some issues with different languages, like words go over each other.
So I want to fix more existing issue with language localization.
However, I am going to work now more on the full game. I think the Demo is now in a very good state.
I hope the features and improvements will help bring more wishlist to the game.

What's next?

I will now shift my focus to the full game again.

If you find any issue with the Demo, the language localization, any feedback about the Demo, or anything you want to say. Please let me know in the community hub discussions.

Thank you,
Ofer.
