MASSIVE 2.0 UPDATE - New Companion System, Weapon System Overhaul and more

I’ve added a full Companion System, completely overhauled weapons with rarity and infinite scaling, introduced critical damage, added a new Guardian enemy type, rebalanced everything and squashed a bunch of bugs![/p][p][/p][h3]New Features[/h3][p]Companion System[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Summon up to 3 companions to fight alongside you[/p]
    • [p]Companions can be leveled up infinitely[/p]
    • [p]Every companion has a base projectile attack that scales with their level[/p]
    • [p]Every companion increases 2 stats for the player[/p]
    • [p]Companions (and their upgrades) only drop from Elites, Gift Boxes and the new Guardian enemies[/p]

  • [p]Floating damage numbers now appear on both player and enemies[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]Fixed enemies animating in perfect unison (fights feel way more natural now)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed incorrect size of the Sticky Aura attack[/p]
  • [p]New enemy pooling system — way more enemies on screen with much better performance[/p]
  • [p]No more accidental upgrades when multiple level-ups are queued[/p]
  • [p]Steam Overlay now properly pauses and unpauses the game[/p]
  • [p]Removed the DPS Dummy[/p]
  • [p]Enemy sounds now properly work without overlapping hundreds of times or not playing at all[/p]

1.6.0 - New Game Mode "Bobs Pancake Challenge"

[h2]New Game Mode[/h2]
This game mode is all about your Upgrades!
Fight endless waves of slimes and see how far you can go.

Increase your stats in the Upgrade menu and use Flapjack Fury to your advantage to survive as long as possible and score high on the leaderboard.

The Leaderboard is accessible through the challenge overlay in-game

[h2]Changes & Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • DLC characters are now shown as unlocked characters in the main menu
  • fixed auto-target weapons to no longer shoot in the upper right corner, when no enemies or too many enemies are in range

New Playable Character, New Weapon, Bug Fixes & Balancing

[h3]DLC:[/h3]
  • 2nd free DLC has been added:
  • proper links, which will open the steam client to get the free DLC characters in the character selection screen


[h3]Misc:[/h3]
  • adjusted slime splitting behaviour
  • adjusted lighting on player character


[h3]Balancing:[/h3]
  • adjusted HP value of heart bunnies in Snowflake's Secret Path (22 > 55)


[h3]Bugs:[/h3]
  • fixed a bug for Simplified Chinese were some challenges for the Elite mode would not load properly and could result in a crash
  • removed extra light sources from marionette boss projectiles to prevent lag spikes

1.4.3 Brighter Sprites, Horde Mode performance optimization

- brightend up some enemy and all player character sprites
- disabled some enemy shaders in Horde Mode to reduce overall calculations, which saves on performance especially on the 15+ minute mark
- smoothened out character animations in the main menu
- very slightly increased enemy hp and damage on max difficulty settings

1.4.2 Bug Fixes

Multiplier challenges in Boss Rush now work correctly.

Crust's projectiles in Boss Rush now disappear properly before the explosion particles appear, instead of after.

The Marionette Trio can now be properly defeated with higher health modifiers. Previously, it could happen that they didn’t disappear correctly, causing the player to get stuck in the level.
