Greetings, Acolytes! With Halloween upon us, we’re thrilled to bring you spine-tingling updates from Catechesis. This time, we dive deep into the game’s mechanics, introduce a memorable new character, and share exclusive news for our Yuppie Psycho fans.

The dev team has been hard at work, with recent private beta tests of the first two dungeons giving us key insights. Thanks to valuable feedback, we’re refining Catechesis’s combat system and character progression to ensure both new and seasoned players feel fully immersed. Plus, the story is now fully locked, with only some alternate endings left to refine. The narrative is designed for you to uncover and experience firsthand, filled with surprises, choices, and unexpected turns. Alongside the expanded maps and new cutscenes, Catechesis is shaping up to be our most ambitious project yet, with over 44 unique enemies and a world much larger than Yuppie Psycho.

One of our most intriguing new mechanics is the blood altar save system. These altars, inspired by the Souls series, are a pivotal addition, allowing Daniel to respawn, recover, and even teleport between dungeons. The first altar, the Hemopheretro, has deep mythological roots, offering Daniel—and you—a lifeline in his journey. But the lore surrounding these altars is as dark as it is complex, with secrets that will slowly reveal themselves as you progress.

And finally, for our Yuppie Psycho fans, we have a special surprise—exclusive new pins of Brian Pasternack and Mr. Devil, now available on Makeship! These limited-edition items celebrate the characters in a unique, collectible way, so be sure to grab yours.
