Major October Early Access Update & Roadmap to v1.0

It's been a month since Realm of Ink Early Access launched and we hope you had or are having fun in Realm of Ink. After several minor patches, we are more than thrilled to put out our first major update in October!

In this update, we are bringing 3 new Ink Gem Powers, 21 new Perks, and a Pick System that lets players choose their starting Ink Gem Power and Perk.

[h3]New Ink Gems[/h3]
We have listened to the voices of our players who are eager to experience more of the essence of an Action-Roguelike, the thrilling hacking and slashing. Therefore, the new Ink Gems and Perks put a strong emphasis on the synergy between light and heavy attacks, as well as dashing and dodging. The aim is to enhance the action gameplay nature and maximize the satisfaction of every playstyle.

[h3]New Perks[/h3]
We have added a variety of new Perks ranging from rare to legendary. They also have a strong focus on strengthening the power of light and heavy attacks as well as dashes, further amplifying the experience when you use the new Ink Gems between runs. See below for details stats of the new Perks:

[h3]Pick System[/h3]
Once all endings are unlocked (after six successful runs), at the start of a run, you can choose one Ink Gem (only at the Common tier) and one Perk (ranging from Common to Epic tier) that you have encountered in previous runs. This will not replace the initial Ink Gem dropped in the first room, meaning you can equip two Ink Gems before entering any room.


With this update, the game now has:
- 25 Ink Gem Powers
- 145 Perks
- 9 Weapon Forms
- 101 Martial Arts Skills
- Hundreds of Elixirs
The additional content deepens the game's strategic potential, encouraging players to experiment with new combinations and uncover unique builds.

[h2]And it's finally time to reveal our roadmap to v1.0![/h2]


Please note that our official v1.0 plan is different from the expected official version plan in May. The main reason is that based on EA feedback, we have decided to prioritize more resources to increase the depth of gameplay content and optimize gameplay. The plans for some new maps and weapons are considered to be launched in future as FREE DLCs.

With the roadmap being released, we hope to keep you coming back to enjoy more of our game by constant monthly updates, and to keep ourselves on the right track. Look forward to our full release!

1. Added 3 new Ink Gems: Azure Ink, Abyss Ink and Kuafu Ink
2. Issues Fixed
1. Fixed a bug where Miss Lee Form's Ability "Overwhelming Rain" could only be casted on player position
2. Fixed a bug where the pause menu could be opened
3. Fixed a bug where when The Book Spirit turns to 2nd phase, the empty HP bar would incorrectly show up
4. Fixed a bug where after defeating The Book Spirit, General Gor Form's thrown blade wouldn't be automatically collected
5. Fixed a bug where in Animitta's Sanctum, General Gor Form's thrown blade would disappear after being left on the ground for some time
6. Fixed a bug where in Animitta's Sanctum, the warning VFX of Curse Perk "Cursed Prayer Beads" would occasionally disappear earlier than expected
7. Fixed a bug where the actual effect of Violetta Form's Ability "Wind Dance" doesn't match its description
8. Fixed a bug where having two Legendary Tiger Ink may sometimes cause the two Ink Skills to share cooldown
9. Fixed a bug where when Snow Lion was defeated while it was taking a leap, the smash damage would still be triggered shortly after
10. Fixed a bug where restarting too frequently may cause the game to break
11. Fixed a bug where A'Kuan Form's Ability "Shadow Break" may cause incorrect character coordinates
12. Fixed a bug where General Gor Form's Ability "Icebreaker Strike" could not accelerate cooldowns as expected

Optimization
1. You can now view detailed information of Ink Gems in Ink Realm Anecdote.
2. You can now hold space to skip conversations.
3. New Taoist Brush drop spot at the first room of Snowy Sanctuary, player can now choose an ability at the start of each run and gain up to 4 abilities per run.
4. Player can now act sooner after reviving.
5. Modified requirements of certain achievements. Lowered the requirements of some of the Achievements that were too difficult to accomplish.

Buffs(And no nerf!)
1. Red Form, damage dealt by Swift Heavy Attack and Powerful Swift Heavy Attack +30%
2. Red Form's Ability "Sky Sunder" now increases Heavy Attack Charge Speed and alters Heavy Attack into launching multiple sword energies
3. Red Form's Ability "Glutton Blade", +10% → 20% Light Attack damage per dish consumed
4. Red Form's Ability "Iron Lotus", Damage Reduction + 20% → 30% during Super Armor
5. Red Form's Ability "Lotus Cleaver": Heavy Attack deals x1.5 → x2 damage when hitting a target that has never been damaged by Heavy Attack before
6. Violetta Form's Ability "Layered Assault", Light Attack damage increase can stack 15 → 25 times
7. Violetta Form's Ability "Protector Spin" damage +50%
8. Monk Jin Form's Light Attack Cooldown 1.5s→1s, Ability "Lotus Blade Dance" Light Attack Cooldown reduction 0.5s→0.3s
9. Monk Jin Form's Ability "Heavenly Flame" deals more damage and makes the heavy attack tracks the nearest enemy
10. Miss Lee Form's Ability "Shadow Ambush" damage +30%
11. Miss Lee Form's Ability "Overwhelming Rain" damage +30%
12. Miss Lee Form's Ability "Instant Burst" no longer reduces attack range

16. General Gor Form's basic Light Attack motion is now faster; Blade throw no longer requires charging and no longer counts as Heavy Attack (won't be replicated by Dragon Ink), throwing distance is shortened so that it can be picked more conveniently.
17. General Gor Form's Ability "Frostblade Spin", increased Blade call back range, damage dealt now counts as Whirling Slash damage (0.6x Whirling Slash damage).
18. General Gor Form's Ability "Earthbreaker Slash", strike now causes 3 shockwaves ahead dealing Light Attack Damage.
19. General Gor Form's Ability "Frost Fist Power", Blade can no longer be picked up through charging, instead press Heavy Attack button to collect the blade directly (counts as using Heavy Attack and can trigger corresponding effects).
20. Effect of General Gor Form's Ability "Frost Fist Power" can now combine with that of "Earthbreaker Slash" to create a new attack form.
21. General Gor Form's Ability "Frost Crescent Slash" now changed to "Frost Blast": Gain 2 Frost Points when using Light Attack (rapid punches gain 1 point), when reaching 4 points cast 5 ice cones dealing Light Attack/Additional damage.
22. General Gor Form's Ability "Frost Lotus Bind" damage +30%, circle area +20%, damage reduction/movement speed reduction +10%
23. Grace Form's Ability "Spirit Bond" no longer forbids player to use heavy attack, and gains buff when gaining Ink Orbs.
24. Increased cast speed and range of Grace Form's Ability "Ink Hail"
25. Grace Form's Ability "Swift Trace" damage +150%
26. Six Form's Ability "Dice Fall" no longer modifies damage dealt by 0.7x

29. Legendary Tiger Ink's enhanced skill now also counts as Dash and can trigger corresponding Dash/Dodge effects

31. Legendary Blaze Ink now launches a fireball to a nearby enemy when using Ink Skills instead of casting an explosion, meanwhile damage dealt by Blaze Ink of all tiers is increased,and Skill Damage addition could only stack up to 10 stacks → 30 stacks
32. Quake Ink skill cooldown 14s→12s, base damage dealt by earth crack is doubled (other modifications gained from shields stays the same)
33. Increased damage to all Perks that deal Additional Damage only
34. Rare Perk "Buddha Bowl" the effect is now achieved through adding a buff to the player when entering a new room, so that the effect can combine with other "on entering a room" related perks
35. Epic Perk "Psychic Loop": effect duration 5s→10s
36. Epic Perk "Enigma Arrow" now also provides +7% Agnoy effect
37. Epic Perk "Mirror of Clarity": when an enemy damage you, it gain 2→5 stacks of Weaken
38. Epic Perk "Ink God Edict": the effect now triggers immediately when player has two Legendary Ink Gems
39. Legendary Perk "Fiery Wheel" rework: Burning damage +30%. When Burning deals damage, inflict 5 stacks of Burning.
40. Legendary Perk "Ink Tunic": Ink Clone is also spawned when the player takes damage
41. Legendary Perk "Quickening Charm": Yin-Yang fish now spawns closer to the player and has bigger collison area
42. Curse Perk "Skeletal Armor": max HP reduction 80% → 50%
