Demo is live!

A sword-wielding mech. A sharpshooting space frog. Control both characters simultaneously against the forces of Entropy in this reverse bullet hell roguelike. You’ll bring these two unlikely heroes home using nothing but the unstoppable power of friendship (and an arsenal of mind-blowing cartoon weapons)!

Play by yourself, or bring your friends along for a genre-bending online co-op experience! Become best buddies with synergetic builds or prove yourself champion in the contest for high score.

Is your shotgun out of ammo? Throw it at your enemies! Feeling hungry? Use your spear as a shish-kabob. Unlock dozens of customizable options to power up and create your own playstyle.

From weaponized garbage trucks to a gun that shoots bees, Entropy Survivors is overflowing with unique weapons, abilities, and upgrades that’ll make you ask “What?”

Updated Demo For Next Fest!

Hey folks,

It's so exciting seeing people play the demo! We have been busy addressing feedback and making the demo better and better.

With that said, we wanted to announce that we will be participating in Next Fest on Monday! Your support in Wishlisting the game and playing the demo goes a long way.

The next fest demo will feature some new content (new class, new weapon, more challenges, and a dye system), so even if you already played the demo, there's a bundle of new stuff for you to explore next week!

Back in 2022 the developers of an indie roguelike announced their game Shoulders of Giants by boldly asking this question: "What if a frog piloted a mech?"..

Early Demo Updates

Thanks so much to everyone who has played the game and told us their experiences!

Over the past two days we've been rolling out some small updates including the following changes:
  • Balanced rewards to allow more upgrade opportunities in the early meta-progression
  • Changed unreal engine's built-in mouse behavior to make it harder to lose focus of the game in Windows and/or mess up your game resolution
  • Fixed a major bug causing some skill tree skills to be overwritten when upgrading your class skill in-level (this was a big goof on our part; we're adding more QA tool and processes to make sure we don't have a mistake like this go live in the future)
  • Fixed bugs where power-ups/abilities that granted invulnerability would sometimes end your invulnerability too early if you collected/activated them twice at once
  • Movement slowdown from walking through cosmic goo no longer stacks to make you frustratingly slow
  • A new batch of translations came in from our translators, so non-english localizations should be a bit cleaner
  • Skill tree levels are capped at 10
  • More polish to the reward popups and challenge progress when you end a mission
  • Various UI alignment changes and tweaks

We're really happy to see folks enjoying the demo so far. Please keep the feedback coming!

The Demo is Live!

We’re thrilled to share this first look at Entropy Survivors with you.

We’re eager to hear if you think it’s fun too! This demo contains the following:

  • 3 classes to try, each with their own activatable skills and unique attributes
  • 4 equippable weapons to radically switch up your playstyle
  • 28 unlockable class- and weapon-modifying perks that add powerful and, frankly, absurd new mechanics to your arsenal
  • A slice of our extremely video-gamey skill tree
  • 20+ abilities to collect and upgrade during your run
  • A preview of our “desert” planet, with three missions of different difficulty
  • Fully functional online co-op!

This game started as a tiny internal experiment in the tiny office of our tiny indie studio. We wanted to see how many Shoulders of Giants enemies we could get working on screen in a networked co-op game. With a few days of heavily optimizing (read: deleting large swaths of) Unreal Engine’s movement code, we were startled both by how much we could have going on with 4 players on the network, and by how fun it was.

Be sure to fill out the in-game feedback form or join us on Discord to share your thoughts. Entropy Survivors is still in the midst of full development and we’re not afraid of making changes in response to criticism; your candid feedback will sharpen us into a fine katana blade.

Welcome to Entropy Survivors.
