We’ve got great news to share with you!

Demo update — We've heard your feedback

We've tracked down and fixed some major issues, as well as balanced a bit better the economy and enemy spawn rate. We've also heard your concerns about the demo having less content than the previous one, so the Caves are back in the demo!

Here's a small summary of changes that we've made to the current demo:

[h3]Content[/h3]
- The Caves are now accessible.

[h3]Balance[/h3]
- Reduced enemy spawn rate.
- Reduced enemy aggro range.
- Talisman (accessory to reduce enemy spawn rate) is now sold by the Merchant.
- Added difficulty. This reduces enemy spawn rate, aggro, HP and damage.

[h3]Economy[/h3]
- Reduced the price of most early items in shops.
- Guide quests now reward some money.

[h3]Side Activities[/h3]
- Early fishing accessories can now be bought in the Fisherman's shop.
- Early cooking spices can now be bought in the Chef's shop.
- Slightly reduced the difficulty of common fishes.

And to celebrate the return of underground adventures and other improvements, we’re launching the first community contest! 🥳 We’d love to see what inspires you most – be it through art, creativity, or sharing your hard-earned knowledge.

Tinkerlands: March devlog


[h3]Heya, Tinkerlanders![/h3]
We’re back with a quick development update! While there’s not a ton of flashy news this time, we’ve been hard at work polishing singleplayer, fine-tuning balance and progression, checking localization and tackling multiplayer bugfixing - an absolute beast of a task.

As for Early Access, we’re still finalizing the best release window, balancing development progress with the ideal launch timing. But rest assured, Tinkerlands is coming in Q2 2025 (no later than June!), and we’re doing everything we can to bring it to you as soon as possible.

As usual, here’s a little sneak peek at this month’s improvements:

[h2]Steamdeck Gamepad Integration[/h2]
We’ve fully integrated gamepad support for Steam Deck players, ensuring a smooth and immersive experience!


[h2]Teleportation Portals[/h2]
Mysterious portals are appearing across the main island! Unlocking them will make your journey much faster - keep an eye out for these strange anomalies.


[h2]Hidden recipes[/h2]
Some powerful recipes are now hidden, only unlocked after specific battles. Check your inventory after major encounters - you might have discovered something new!


[h2]New Optional Island: Isle Goblin[/h2]
The goblins are more advanced than they seem - our collaboration with Isle Goblin will give you a glimpse from both sides of the conflict!


[h2]New Boss: Overgrown Crab[/h2]
Did you kill a few harmless crabs in the demo? Well, karma is real - get ready to face the consequences in the form of a massive, vengeful Overgrown Crab!

We’re back with another devlog to keep you in the loop on everything we’ve been working on! This month, our focus has been on polishing, bug fixing, and adding some quality-of-life improvements. Let’s dive in and see what’s new!

[h2]A Handy New Tool[/h2]
Early Access will introduce a brand-new drill tool - a powerful combination of pickaxe and axe to make resource gathering faster and easier. Check it out in action!


[h2]Fishing That Feels Right[/h2]
It’s a small detail, but we value realism! The fishing line has been reworked to look more natural instead of, well… cardboard.


[h2]Improved Lighting System[/h2]
Caves just got a whole lot cozier! We're feeling like this improved lighting system is going to make underground exploration more immersive. Check out this before/after - what do you think?


[h2]No More Walking on Water[/h2]
We know it was weird that you could walk through the ocean like it was a puddle. Now, entities will go under water when moving through the ocean, adding a bit more realism!


[h2]Mechanisms for Risk-Takers[/h2]
Looking for a challenge and extra loot? We’ve expanded the cable system with timers and new enemy summoning statues, adding more depth to traps and puzzles.


[h2]Item Placement Updates (WIP)[/h2]
It’s still in early stages, but we’re making great progress on placing windows, items on tables, and decorations on walls. Here’s a sneak peek (excuse the placeholder sprites!)


[h2]Biome Beautification - Coraline Fields Rework[/h2]
Coraline Fields are shaping up beautifully! This specific area is home to floating jellyfish and other surprises - here’s a glimpse of its latest rework.


[h2]Class Progression Items[/h2]
We’ve added 20+ new items to enhance class builds! For example, here's a showcase of the new accesory that allows arrows to track enemies for precise shots. Check it out!
