Fixed a game crash when capturing units

Grant Update
DIFFICULTY BALANCING
Shrot is now easier on the easy difficulty. Difficulty can be changed at any time in Options, but may not be reflected in older saved games where previously planned attacks are already in progress.
However, it is still necessary to keep in mind that numerous losses on all sides and constant pressure from enemies are a fundamental feature of the game and victory is never free.
TUTORIAL AND ONBOARDING
Tutorial in the first mission and the Economic Training are now improved and more understandable. I also added a button to display information about the selected unit/building, which was previously buried in the Knowledge section. This section can also be opened with the "I" key and contains information about all buildings and units.
KEYSTROKE HELP
The game can be controlled entirely with the mouse and there is no need to touch the keyboard, but some keys are very useful:
Selection
Shift+Click - Add or remove unit from current selection
Double Click - Select all units of the same type on the screen
Ctrl+0-9 - Assign selected units (or buildings) to group
Shift+0-9 - Add selected units to the group
0-9 - Select units in the group
Double 0-9 - Select units in the group and pan to them
Q - Select idle Tractors/Harvesters
W - Select all combat units
I - Knowledge about selected unit/building
Units
Mouse wheel - Click in production to max queue
M - Move
A - Attack (and Attack Move)
S - Stop (Defend Area)
H - Stop (Hold Position)
Camera
Arrow keys - Move camera
Mouse wheel - Adjust view height, hold to drag camera
F - Follow the selected unit
Ctrl+F2-F4 - Save location
F2-F4 - Go to saved location
Spacebar - View the area of the last warning
Home - View the base
+/- - UI Scale
Buildings
R - Toggle Repair Mode
X - Toggle Shutdown Mode
C - Toggle Sell Mode
FULL V1.4 CHANGELOG
• Difficulty Balancing
 • Reworked tutorial and onboarding (mission 1 and economy training)
 • Reworked console messages (only one message is displayed)
 • New hotkey "I" to show knowledge about the selected unit/building (new button in the sidebar can also be used)
 • Fix: woman's voice sometimes stopped working
 • Fix: laugh when AI capturing units
 • Fix: "We are under attack" voice in the German version

Shrot is out now!

As the title suggests, Shrot is OUT NOW!
This time, the launch was a bit more modest. Due to poor wishlist numbers, some cuts had to be made. So, no party at the Factory Club, no sandwiches, and no chocolate fountain. Even the accompanying cultural program, including the magician, has been canceled. I'll just order pizza and that's it.
Acknowledgments
• I would like to thank the musicians Ginko Lanugo (Štěpán and Nikola) for the soundtrack and cooperation. The soundtrack can also be purchased on their Bandcamp. It should already be available on Spotify and Youtube.

 • The nice voice that speaks in Czech and English when a unit is ready or an enemy is attacking is Viktorie's. You can follow her on Instagram.

 • And of course, thanks to Phoenix Arts for Paranoia. It was an honor to reference it in Shrot nearly 30 years later.

 • Others are listed in the end credits after completing the game.
Future Work
If Shrot happens to attract a wider audience than a few veterans, an expansion will be a possibility. We would need to sell at least one copy of the game in Mongolia though. Otherwise, work will begin on a new project in September (not sure what it will be yet, but there are plenty of ideas, and I'll decide over the summer). I'll keep you updated on 𝕏.
Finally, I'd like to mention our Discord server, which is primarily about Hrot, but Shrot has its own little section there too.
And now, all that's left is to wish you enjoy Shrot. If you do, I'll be grateful for a review!
With sincerest regards,
Spytihněv

Shrot Release Date

Hello everyone!

Shrot will be released on Thursday, June 20th. ːsteamsadː Steam says 7pm CEST, but it's more likely to be a random time of day depending on my mood.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

The demo will be available as part of #SteamFest until Monday, June 17th, then it will be burned. Saved games from the demo will also work in the full game, so you can continue where you left off or start from the beginning thanks to good replayability.

If you don't have it yet, give a wishlist and a follow so that you don't miss the release.

All that's left is to wish you a nice weekend,

Spytihněv
