1st Week Recap

Heyho Captains,

At some point we are running dry on jokes about how fast time is passing by when you are having fun …

It has already been roughly a week since we released Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown and the reception has been extremely positive (and that is even an understatement).
Past
Thanks to your exceptional dedication, we were able to sell 100.000 copies of the game in 4 days! This is a tremendous number for any studio, but especially for a small indie developer from Germany.

National radio stations have been speaking about us and interviewed the Dev Team, CNN has (shortly) mentioned us, a concurrent user peak of over 9000 (insert Vegeta Meme)... It has surely been a great launch.
Present
But surely as well, that doesn't mean we can lay back and relax - as you were able to read in our recent blogpost(s) we are tinkering on a manual quick save to counter the feedback you have given us in the first days after launch, that the auto save system needed some refinement.

This patch still needs to be finalized and then checked internally (so it doesn’t break anything else in the meantime) - and then we can send it live - so have some more (work)days of patience with us, please.
Future
Afterwards (not mentioning smaller bugfixes along the way) our focus will shift from save games to crashes/performance and difficulty level/harshness.

Even though a rough estimate of ~60% of you seem to be fine with the difficulty, we surely want to see if we can adjust some things to make it more pleasant for the other 30-40%. If you want to give us your opinion, why don't you hop onto our Discord Server and check out the Poll in the announcement channel.

Regarding Crashes/Performance, please always mention your hardware set up/speccs when reporting crashes. If you have already reported your problem, please, add them eventually.
And as always, even though you probably already know: a good portion of cases can already be solved by making sure everything has the most up-to-date drivers and/or adjusting your settings in game.

Another good portion is due to FSR - so lowering your graphics settings and in the worst case, turning off upscaling, will prevent crashes from happening. We are in contact with AMD to get closer to this issue.

Thanks again for this absolutely wonderful welcome to the Star Trek Family, the respect and wholesomeness this community has shown prior to launch as well as in the first days after (for example a whole MMO clan from ST:O coming over to “say hi” in our Discord - shoutout to StarFleet), surely makes this an experience for everyone involved.

See you in the Delta Quadrant!
