Soulmask Chieftains' Stories Episode 2: BeastMama
Hi Chieftains!
Welcome to a new episode of Soulmask Player Stories! Since the release date of Soulmask, we have met many Chieftains with enthusiasm and charm, their support and love for Soulmask have added a vibrant touch to our community. Their enthusiasm has inspired us to share their stories of encountering Soulmask with everyone.

This time, our protagonist is a volunteer that every player in the Soulmask Discord community knows well: Beastmama. As one of the first community volunteers for Soulmask, her passion for the game and the player community is truly remarkable—as Maggie would say, just like a mama!

So, we are excited to share her story with Soulmask and, of course, her enthusiasm for the game!

So first, Do you mind to introduce yourself a little?

So pretty much I am BeastMama, I embraced my online game name many years ago because of my love for animals even if they are pixel animals.

I am a 37 years old and help my family run their business and i pretty much play online games in my spare time, which is not much to be fair since job, family and studies takes up most of it

Mama's lovely beasties.

I am always in discord though xD - I am very passionate about what i love. (Soulmask is right up top in there ;D ) And i am extremely protective of my friends and people around me in general!

So where did you find out about Soulmask? What were your first impressions of it? As a survival game, you know.

I am part of a big gaming community - Pirate Gaming. In that community we all share games with each other and One of them pointed me to Soulmask.

My very first impressions of the game was like…Why I cannot log out of it? It felt refreshing, Felt Unique and innovative. And the more time I spent online and in the discord community the more I just couldnt get enough.

Seriously, Mama, we are very impressed with your love for the Soulmask lol, what elements led you to love it so much?

The combat, the skill variety, the npc system, and i love that you are not fully attached to 1 character. You can just jump around and be a completely different person everyday.

The mask system is so unique and new. Every single survival I play is, go here, gather this, obtain this other thing, level, craft, wear this new equipment, and become powerful

Soulmask added a whole new layer to it with the Mask system and the tribesmen!

Are there any moments in Soulmask that stick with you?

first and most was the first time i tamed a Leopard. It was Danneh the leopard. he is forever one of the best stickers in discord.

When i saw that beautiful face...i think i was laughing for 10 minutes none stop! the devs really done it with those leopard faces.

The second, was finding the first Ancient Dungeon. I swear I did not expect to find that type of Content in a tribal survival map, the feeling of wonder and surprise

Also xD when we saw the volcano was actually a part of the map you could explore, we first spent a few hours just jumping down thru the crater hahaha like idiots

Let's go back to the community: you are now our NUMBER ONE volunteer: so many players in the community have been helped by you!

At first, I felt needed by other players. I am a very experience gamer (perks of getting old) xD So i tend to learn things and advance quickly. I enjoy helping others and I noticed that the learning curve of this game could use some help until the tutorials got fully developed, Which they did.

And now I feel attached to the community. I feel responsible for it (even if I do not have to) Many of the players that we have in the discord deserve to be cared for and loved. and If I can do anything in my power to help, You bet I will be there to help them

I honestly couldn't have done it with all other volunteers and many other very helpful members of our community

Mama, In your community volunteer work, What do you find most interesting in the Soulmask community?

I love how we have created an environment together that players feel safe and trust to spend time in it. Some players even went as far as creating gifs and pictures of ingame content.

After having to answer that question 9000000 million times before release date....

THATS TOUGH lol. Last question: What do you wanna say to the newbie in the Soulmask?

To pve players, The Game is HUGE, the options are vast and You do not have to know everything by day one. Enjoy the ride and If you get lost and Do not know where to go or how to do something, Tag me, beastmama is here for you, or any of our incredible volunteers, We will happily help you.

To the pvp Players, The game is not perfect, But Devs are working on it day and night Tirelessly. Make sure You do drop your Suggestions in our discord, They are eager to listen to the player base.

And for the love of everything sacred ... Check the PINS!!

In the future, we will introduce more special Soulmask Chieftains like Mama, including ANYONE! But we believe that regardless of the titles they have, they all possess a commonality: the boundless love for Soulmask, just like all of you!

The moment you've been waiting for has arrived! Soulmask proudly presents its major update, "Evolution of Masks," available starting today. We hope the wait hasn't been too long. As your adventure progresses, the enigmatic masks from the mysterious civilization continue to evolve. What new surprises lie ahead on your journey?

The update will automatically download to your game!

Meanwhile, a limited-time 10% off of Soulmask will be offered on steam store to celebrate our first major update of Soulmask!
Quick Remodel
In dire situations, just before a mask wearer's demise, the mask will now teleport their body and consciousness back to the Bonfire, remodeling them using logged data.

In this new version, after defeating the Vajra Ape, you can unlock a new mask feature: Quick Remodel.

Any body controlled by the mask, whether it's the Chief or the tribesmen, can be quickly revived at the Respawn Point/Campfire. However, this teleportation and quick repair cause a debuff due to energy loss, affecting Max HP and Recovery ability of the revived body.

You can still use the Mysterious Stone Table for traditional remodeling. While this method requires more time and resources, it grants new buff to your resurrected tribesmen.

Important notes:
 • Tribesmen must be entered at the Mysterious Stone Table to be eligible for Quick Remodel.
 • When resurrecting tribesmen, their stats revert to the last entered data in the Mysterious Stone Table.

This is just a glimpse of the mask's new potential... The Chieftain's body has also undergone significant changes...
Chieftain's Enhancement
As your bond with the mask deepens, your once-fragile body grows stronger.

In the new version, we've enhanced the starter character's basic abilities for a smoother early game experience.

 • Level cap increased from 40 to 50.
 • Production proficiency cap increased from 50 to 60, and combat proficiency cap from 50 to 90.
 • Basic stats upgraded to the level of blue-tier barbarians.
 • As you level up the starter character, unlock these unique talents:
Tribe - Survivor: As a survivor of the tribe wars, you'll need strength to survive in this land. Max Load +20%.

Nimble Movement: I'm always a step ahead of death. Movement Speed +5%.

Strong Physique: This body has endured so much. Max Stamina +20.

Crisis Response: When attacked, has a 20% chance to increase DEF and Max HP by 5% each for 30 seconds. (CD: 50s)

Desperate Struggle: Recovers 15% of HP in 5 seconds when HP is below 15%. (CD: 35s)

Critical Counter:Gains a 5% damage boost for 6 seconds after blocking an enemy attack. (CD: 15s)
Data Copying
By harnessing the extensive genetic data recorded from the tribesmen, the Chief's original body can undergo a complete transformation and enhancement, ultimately acquiring all the abilities possessed by the tribesmen.

In the new version, by spending mask energy and crystals, we can conduct deep genetic scans of specific tribesmen and modify the Chief's body accordingly, copying all abilities of specific tribesmen to the starter character.

After defeating the Vajra Ape and unlocking the third mask node, Chiefs can choose the tribesmen for info entry in the "Remodel" module of the Mysterious Stone Table and start deep genetic scanning.

After scanning for a while, their biological information can be transferred to the starter character.

Please note that once logged info is replaced, the Mysterious Stone Table cannot process similar genetic information again. Therefore, body data copy is irreversible, and the copied tribesmen cannot undergo genetic logging again.
Tribesmen Squad
A single follower is no longer sufficient for the increasingly intense battles. Our tribesmen have been trained in team combat tactics using the mask's data.

In the new version, we introduce the mechanism for multiple tribesmen to join battles in Solo/LAN/private server modes. You can adjust the Max number of participating tribesmen in the advanced settings (default is 3).

Interact with multiple tribesmen directly or open the "Clan" page for batch deployment. They will execute the Chiefs' commands uniformly.

Important notes:
 • Due to server load considerations, the official server does not support multiple tribesmen in battle.
 • For solo games, consider balancing difficulty settings with your tribesmen squad size for the best experience.
Craft from inventory
The enigmatic mask continues to reveal its mysterious powers. Recently, chiefs discovered that the mask can teleport raw materials needed for production from storage boxes to the workbench through spatial teleportation technology.

In this update, we introduce the global resource calling function. Toggle the "Automatically call box resources when crafting" option in the advanced settings to use this function.

When crafting, Chiefs or mask-controlled tribemen can efficiently use materials from all boxes within the campfire range at any workbench.
More Updates You Want:
• Forget portal node unlock restrictions! Once you obtain the portal, you can use it immediately!
 • You can now use self-crafted portals to teleport materials and animals on official and private servers.
 • New resurrection rooms have been added to the ruins dungeons and holy ruins. However, you will need to activate them first.
 • In solo/private server mode, you can customize the AI difficulty levels, bringing different AI combat strategy changes.
 • We made roof construction more logical: triangular sloped roofs can now be built on sloped roofs, and triangular sloped roofs can be built around the foundation.
 • Mammoth specimens now have tusks on the other side! We know this bothered you!
 • We fixed the endless throwing items of the barbarians for fair combat!
