Update 1.1.0 - Steam Input support!
Hey dieselminers!
I am happy to announce that the work on Steam Input has been completed! You can now enjoy Ad Fundum on the perfect platform for the game - Steam Deck.
And this is not all that Update 1.1.0 has to offer. It also includes:

New features:
• Added hotkeys for selecting depth in the Elevator menu;
 • The game will now indicate whether your progress will be saved when you exit the game. You will also be informed about what you should do to save your game;
 • Added an item to remove reinforcement beams, eliminating the biggest headache for perfectionists. To obtain the beam deconstruction kit, you will need to purchase 99 reinforcement beams from Tobias.
Bug fixes:
• Fixed an issue where the "Demo End" dialogue would trigger in the full game after transferring a save file from the demo;
 • Addressed issues with small clicks and pauses between music loops;
 • Solved a problem where the item selector would not close after game over;
 • Fixed a bug where the sound of text typing persisted after loading the last save.
 • Eliminated a bug that caused uranium to stop damaging player after using a Resource beacon;
 • Fixed a bug where the Elevator could be used to travel too deep without the required upgrades;
 • Fixed an issue where stalactites would disappear after mining the tile above them instead of falling to the ground;
 • Player will no longer get a game over at the end of an earthquake if they are above the ground;
 • Fixed an issue where purchasing certain items would cause current money to be displayed incorrectly;
 • LEVEL 8 SPOILER WARNING: Energy spheres will no longer emit sound after disappearing.

Open beta update - Ad Fundum is now available on Steam Deck in beta!

Hey folks!

Ad Fundum is finally playable on Steam Deck!

It is currently in beta, so you may encounter some minor issues. However, based on the test results, it seems to be working fine.

To play Ad Fundum on your Steam Deck, you need to join the open beta. To do so, select "Ad Fundum" from your library, then go to "Properties" > "Betas" > "Beta participation", and choose "Open Beta - Open beta for Steam Input Testing".

Once I'm sure there are no issues with Steam Input, the game will be available to everyone. And if you join the beta, please let me know about any problems you encounter.

Steam Input support status

Hey, folks

No patch notes for today, unfortunately, as I was trying to get Steam Input working for the entire day.

It's now working in open beta, but there are a couple of catches:
 1. For some reason, Steam Input might not work in the main menu at launch. You may have to use mouse or touchscreen (which should be working) to start the game;
 2. I was unable to create official layouts for any controllers except for the DualSense controller. Steam did not allow me to create layouts for controllers that were not connected - I only own a DualSense. I am not sure if it is possible to use a layout for other controllers. I will address this issue sooner or later by asking my friends to create layouts or making some community layouts official (in this case, I will release a guide on how to create "developer intended" layout). For now, you may need to create your own controller layout.

Thus, I cannot recommend joining the beta at this time.

However, if you still want to try the game despite the aforementioned issues, you can join the open beta. To do this, select "Ad Fundum" in your library, go to "Properties" -> "Betas" -> "Beta participation" and choose "Open beta - Open beta for Steam Input testing".

P.S. With this post, I actually just wanted to let you know that I am working on improving the game and fulfilling my promise regarding Steam Input.

Update 1.0.6

Bug fixes:
 • LEVEL 7 SPOILER WARNING: Finally fixed a bug where mining ID chips could cause the mech to get stuck;
 • Fixed an issue where one of the dialogues required for the "People Person" achievement would not trigger. If you think you have called everyone but still haven't obtained the achievement, call Emily for the second time from any location.

Other changes:
 • On the "Overcoming" difficulty,  corresponding menus now display that the elevator is disabled due to the difficulty settings;
 • The elevator now "remembers" the depth you selected last time.

Regarding Steam Input support:
It is almost done. There are still some critical issues that prevented me from releasing it in open beta, but these are minor setbacks that I will resolve soon.

Hotfix 1.0.5a

Bug fixes:
 • Fixed issues with several texts in English and Russian localization that appeared incorrectly or contained mistakes;
 • Fixed a bug with vault gates sometimes visually appearing closed when they are actually open;
 • LEVEL 4 SPOILER WARNING: Fixed a bug where "fuse" tiles would disappear from the map. Unfortunately, maps with the "fuses" missing cannot be updated, but everything should be fine with new ones. If you don't have any fuses on your current map, consider this a small simplification of that level :)
 • LEVEL 8 SPOILER WARNING: Horizontal mining while gravity is inverted and the antigravity engine activated now works correctly;
 • Fixed an issue where holding the button to use item multiple times would stop working. Hopefully, there won't be any issues with using items repeatedly (but I know that hope is faint :)
