Heartbit Interactive is shutting down :(

Hello dudes and dudettes,

Sorry for the radio silence, we had our reasons… and, well, they weren’t great.

It’s with heavy heart-bits that we announce Heartbit Interactive is shutting down.

We can’t stress this enough: we made it this far thanks to you, our players, friends, supporters and colleagues! You’ve cheered us on with love and devotion (the Flying Spaghetti Monster is most pleased for that). Sadly, due to economic reasons, we’re no longer able to sustain the development of new games, and we’ve had to make the tough decision to close Heartbit Interactive.

But don’t worry, this isn’t a game over. Our existing games will remain available, and we’ll continue supporting them and responding to your questions for as long as our aging bodies and frail memories allow.

You might notice different names listed as the publisher in some stores, Heartbit Games, Heartbit Interactive Games, Francesco Ficarelli, or Matteo Nicolotti, but it’s still us behind the curtain.

Thank you for every download, every message, every laugh. It’s been an incredible journey.

With all our HP and MP,
The Heartbit Team

It's dangerous to go alone... BETTER TAKE SOME FRIENDS!

Hello dudes & dudettes!

*friends not included with the Co-op update.

Shiver me timbers! It's a MAP!

While we could boast about all the performance improvements and bug fixes in this update, we're going to focus on one thing: the MAP!

It will display important items in the level once you discover them, such as secret treasures, healing items, or power-ups. Treasure chests are also recorded for future playthroughs, so you won't forget about them!

No need to thank us; we're the ones thanking you for all your suggestions and support!

May the Flying Spaghetti Monster bless your day

A beautiful update is blossoming!

Nerd Survivors Patch Notes - 22nd March Update: Spring into Action!

Spring is in the air, and with the season of renewal comes an exciting update for Nerd Survivors, just in time for some Spring gaming! As the flowers bloom, so does our game with fresh improvements, fixes, and additions aimed to enhance your experience.

Let's dive into what's new and improved:
  • Sound Enhancements: The UZI pickup sound effect now plays correctly. Never miss the cue that you've got the firepower you need!

  • Visual Clarity: We've made significant improvements to visibility and clarity:

    • The player's HP bar will no longer be obscured by bullets or attacks, ensuring you can keep a close eye on your survival chances.
    • Introducing new HP bars for both Players and Bosses, adding to the intensity and clarity of each battle.
    • Added a bit of flashing to the homing bullets from the Georama midboss, making them stand out for a fair challenge.
    • Backgrounds with the type of damage have been added to forge bullets, making your strategic choices even clearer.

  • Steam Deck Optimizations:

    • Increased the size of some menu texts and in-game texts to improve readability on the Steam Deck, making your play sessions seamless and more enjoyable.
  • Performance and Efficiency:

    • Improved efficiency on certain non-interactive objects and reduced all game graphics to a single texture atlas to enhance performance across the board.
  • Gameplay Adjustments:

    • When gaining Max-HPs from the Knight class or a character Perk, you are now healed for the same amount, giving you that much-needed boost in the heat of battle.
    • The HP bar has been adjusted to appear above most effects, and the Archetype unlocked window will now correctly display the close button.
    • Balanced how certain Archetype Forms calculate damage for a fairer fight.
    • Homing Boss bullets will now show above everything else, ensuring you see what's coming.

  • Quality of Life Fixes:

    • Corrected the message displayed at the first click on the Form change in the Modify menu of the Forge.
    • Fixed a rogue blood splat in the last Lampyridiae levels that always appeared vertically.
    • Using the 'Refund Last' button in the Upgrade menu will now correctly refresh the availability of other upgrades.
  • Localization Improvements:

    • Thanks to our incredible JP, we've improved some Russian translations, making Nerd Survivors more accessible to our global player base.

We're committed to making Nerd Survivors the best it can be, and your feedback is invaluable to us. Dive back into the action this spring, and enjoy the improved gameplay, efficiency, and visual clarity. Happy gaming, and stay tuned for more updates!
