Demo Update 1
I want to start off by thanking everyone for the feedback on the demo! It has been great to see people enjoying the game and sharing their thoughts. I’ve read all the feedback I could find, and hope that this update will address some of the issues people are having. Many more updates are to come!
After watching some tests and gameplay videos, I noticed that it can be quite frustrating that crashing always resets players back to the base airport. I’ve now changed it so that, after a crash, players are reset to the last airport they successfully landed at.
Additionally, you can also choose to reset yourself at the airport you are currently at. This will put your plane on the runway and repair it. It also means that if you are flipped over, you can just reset yourself at the current airport instead of having to go all the way to base again.
I intentionally didn’t include a tutorial in the game. I believe that learning by trial and error can be a lot of fun. However, I did notice that people were running into some issues with their plane designs that are not always very obvious. In these cases, you might get a warning before trying to take off, notifying you of potential issues with your plane.
Feedback I heard a lot is that it is frustrating that you can’t see the stats of an item you want to research before you research it. This is now fixed! There is a tooltip with all the stats of when hovering over items in the research panel.
