0.19.5 | Enchantment and evolution update - Unity 6 performance boost

[h2]New content[/h2]

  • Wildlife and natural animations: Added birds and swarms, adding a new immersive layer to the game.
  • Ruins and mysterious structures: Various ruins have been added, paving the way for upcoming gameplay mechanics.
  • Environmental effects: Trees and plants are now affected by wind, creating a more dynamic visual experience.
  • New animations: Fully reworked animations for vandalism and room repairs. Additional animations have been added to specific rooms, such as Alchemy.


[h2]Technical improvements[/h2]

  • Pathfinding system: Implemented a new, more precise pathfinding system to improve character movement.
  • Roof and structure system: Improved procedural roof system and better roof display on multiple floors.
  • Various interface adjustments, with exclusive filters now available in the school management window.
  • Rooms with no mana cost no longer show the open/close UI and remain accessible at all times.
  • Added the graduate student’s avatar to the graduated student button.


[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]

  • Pathfinding and NPC Interactions: Fixed an issue where teachers would not enter dorms to break things when frustrated.
  • NPC display: NPCs are no longer visible on higher floors upon spawning.
  • Graduation management: Graduated students no longer free up dorm space until their reward has been chosen. The "BAM" diploma now appears at the top of the unlocked list once achieved.
  • Various UI issues resolved, including erratic closing of the management panel.
  • Updated tooltip for mana resource to include mana turbines and mines.
  • Adjustments made to improve display accuracy of elements like pillars and ceilings on the correct floor.


[h2]New systems and features[/h2]

  • Graduation system: Complete overhaul of the student graduation system with a dedicated new menu. Learning Points (LP) are now earned upon diploma completion instead of after each trial. Multiple-choice rewards have also been introduced.
  • Mana management and structures: Mana turbines have been added to the tech tree (not available in the demo).
  • Warning alerts: A flashing border has been added to indicate drought periods.
  • Language and accessibility: The game logo in the intro cinematic now displays in various languages.


[h2]Performance and compatibility[/h2]

  • Migration to Unity 6: Transitioned to Unity 6, resulting in a performance boost. Further optimizations are in progress to enhance performance.
  • Building optimizations (Demo Excluded): Miner's Den and Mana mine have been optimized, but these updates are not yet available in the demo version.


[h2]Visual and construction adjustments[/h2]

  • Temporary removal of Pebble.
  • Small ruins have been reworked and their placement readjusted.
  • Corrected the trial door (pivot and texture improved).
