Operation Food to Gold - Update 5.3

- Changed the calculations for the kitchen entirely.

My math and calculations were completely off and have been re-thought and redone.
Previously, raw food costs were increasing too much, gold per food item wasn't increasing properly. It was such a mess, that it's hard to explain.

Now it's fixed and calculating properly.
Each tier doubles the gold value of the food and doubles the production cost of it. But the cost is lowered again after each tier upgrade.

- Food costs have been rebalanced.
- Wheat demand has been lowered slightly.
- Gold value of food has been balanced. Now every food is equally viable to produce.
- Players now start with tier 1 kitchen, instead of 0.

Gold value might seem lower now, but since costs have been lowered, you can increase the tiers more. Also purple matter upgrades multiply that value properly. It's overall more on every front.

You should prepstige once, to reset the kitchen. This will lower the upgrade prices, since you start at 1 now, so you can get 10 more upgrades out of the same cost.

I am very sorry about this. Should have checked my calculations properly.

- Replaced 3 merch store placeholder images with proper images.
- Added Hard-Reset button.
- Resets your game back to 0/the start. Does not affect your manual saves.
- Added merch store gold gain per second metric.

Those should be all leftover fixes and suggestions covered, except golden berries, because feeding gold to an alien that poops gold is... weird. lol
I will return to the berries in the future. Maybe diamond berries?

Operation Food to Gold - Update 5.1 - Quick Fix

A very quick fix and change to science and offline progression.

- Fixed a bug with science gain while offline. Should have been 60 times more than it was.
- Changed science gain and purple matter gain.
Used to be 60 per second out of 100k. Now it's 1 per second out of 10k. You are getting 59 less but need 10 times less as well. Purple matter converter down from 100k to 50k, also affected by this change.

Science gain was too much before. You were getting 2 per hour at level 1, which is too much, since the intention is to make this a rare, late-game resource. I could also fix this by making the progress slower by increasing numbers, and balance it by making lategame cost more by increasing numbers, but in the end it's the same result, just bigger numbers, and if they are not needed, then I would like to avoid them.

Higher levels should still generate a decent amount of essence and purple matter per hour.

- Offline progression now gives full amounts/ gains, instead of half.
If you had the game open and would have gained 100gold, you would have gained 50 while offline. Now its 100. The idea was to reward active play, but that is already rewarded with food getting dropped. It was overall not needed to half it.

Spent an embarrassing long time making a hat. I don't wont to spoil it, but once you are in-game, you might see why.

Operation Food to Gold - Update 4

Hello hobby chefs,

update 4 brings many new additions to the game. First of all, a big thank you to everyone who has given suggestions and feedback. This update is based on that feedback, hoping to solve some issues with the game or at least go in the right direction.

Prepstige gain
Prepstige gain has been changed. Now it is calculated based on total gold earned, instead of current gold. This means, that you can spend your gold on upgrades and don't have to hoard it anymore.
Now it requires 50k to gain 1 Prepstige point, instead of 100k. This way, newer players can get to the prepstige upgrades faster.
Prepstige has been moved to the merch section.(for now)

Merch
3 new production options are available in the new merch screen. Sell merch to blob fans around the world and generate passive income.
This is important for 2 reasons.
1. Help out new players gain some more gold.
2. Enable gold gain while offline.
The merch store will receive more late-game content in the future.
Merch will not reset on prepstige, but has no purple matter or prepstige upgrades.
The point is to give new players a boost and old players offline progress, without it overshadowing food production.

Offline
After much thought, I decided to not tie food production to gold gain for a simple reason.
I like it that raw food resources accumulate once offline. This is good, because those resources are needed for science. If I tie food production to offline, then players might start the game and find out, that all their raw resources are gone. Getting into science would be too hard then.
Besides, the kitchen tier system is designed to be a balance between gold gain, production and demand.
I hope, that the new merch store is enough to provide players with at least some gold gain while offline.

Bouncing-Berries
You can click with the mouse above the blob (or hold B) to spawn 1 out of 4 berries. Each gives 1 gold. Berries cannot be upgraded. They are just fun and add an active element to the game.
They are there to help new players with gold gain in the early game. (especially with an autoclicker)
Lategame they become obsolete, and that's good. I don't want people to set up autoclickers and macros to min-max them. That's not fun.

Blob has bigger mouth and background change
Blue background is more pleasant to look at. I drew a few, but none felt right, except the blue one.
The bigger mouth allows more food to enter quickly, without having a clog. Also allows more food to be on screen.

Changes
Production 1,2,3 - No longer says gold gain production, just production. That was confusing.
Rearranged buttons
PurpleMatter converter - now increases in price properly, previous was +3 per level, which was a mistake on my part
A bunch of other, small stuff.


The update is not entirely done. The merch store doesnt have proper images.
Those are all cosmetic things and it's been around 12 hours now, so, I'll add them in a small update tomorrow. I wanted to get this update out faster, since core mechanics have been changed that are important. If you find any bugs, then please let me know. I've checked pretty well, but, it's been long and I probably missed something.

Next update:
Merch store updated images.
Option to do a hard-reset.
A new hat.

Currently wheat gain is very low and it's on my to-do list. That will take some more work.
