Operation Food to Gold - Update 12

Update 12

New Gambling
Box has been replaced with gambling slots. It sort of works like a casino slot game, except you get random points and get a reward for those points. Good luck on getting that jackpot! It's hard but not impossible.
The new french girl, Monique, will give you a free spin every hour. Dating your Commander DLC owners get 5 from her.

All 15 Waifus are now done and their art has been polished. Now to animate them and make them dateable.

Also, no, I won't make it faster. The dramatic pause is fun and needed, because I want to animate Monique reacting to your wins, so it's needed. It's pretty fast as is now.

Also, added anti-cheat protection to all of you that were loading the manual save after gambling ;)
It's nothing special, but enough to discourage you.

Lab
3 new Purple Matter converters
RedYellow - red and yellow globbloppers
BlueGreen - blue and green globbloppers
DLC - Real money converter (can't be upgraded, only level 1 with HTBB DLC)

Globbloppers
Reduced cost significantly of blue and green, slightly decreased cost of yellow.

Kitchen
Significantly decreased upgrade costs.
My original plan was to make it scale logarithmic, like the raw resource production, instead of exponential, but it just doesn't scale properly, first because of the production costs, second because each tier gives gold. After a lot of experimenting, I decided that the old system scales much better, so I left it as it is.
The only difference is, that it's now way cheaper. It should be much easier to reach higher production tiers now.

Waifus
Switched Abby and Ambers place.
Updated art for Valentina, Ming, Naomi and Olga.

Now is a good time to purpstige, so the new kitchen prices take effect.

Operation Food to Gold - Update 10

Update 10 brings various fixes and QOL improvements.

Yukari
Art update. Cleaned up her art, gave her a bit more skin color. Re-made her "very angry" expression.
Fixed a bug, where she would not blush, when you give her gifts. Now she always blushes, even if you don't have gifts, but click the button. Needs more fixing, but at least she blushes now.

New waifus
Amber - Remade her art. Old one was looking depressed.
Emika - Yukaris bratty sister.
Zoey - Tomatoes
Jane - Wheat

Extractors
Changed the extractors to turn themselves on when you have 1000 * their level. (up from 100)

Box
Doubled opening speed.

Laser
Increased the duration from 20sec to 30.

Options
Updated the tutorial. Some found the game too complicated.


Cosmetics
Decreased the price by a lot. From 100 to 10, 250 to 25 and 150 to 15. Now you can customize your blob properly.

Operation Food to Gold - Update 9

Update 9 addresses the issue of raw resources piling up.

Now you can activate an orbital laser that shoots cooked food directly into the blobs mouth. Not sure he enjoys it much.



- Laser
The core mechanic is, that you can press the button to activate a 30 times cooked food production speed up for 20 seconds. This will drain some of your resources, based on the kitchen demand and give you all the gold faster.
The laser can be activated every 30 minutes for non DLC owners and every 10 minutes for DLC owners.
This shouldn't make much of a difference, because it's meant as an offline catch-up. You start the game after an hour, or a day, the laser is ready. You use it, then close the game until next time.
Or, wait the 10-30min. It does also promote some active play.

- Extractors
The extractors will now turn themselves on, if your stockpile is 100 times more than the extractor level and if you don't actively turn them off.
So, if you have an extractor level 10, then at 1000 resource it will turn itself on, then at 0, off, then when you reach 1000 again, on. The laser may also drain your resources to 0 now, so having them activate themselves is nice, otherwise it would be very frustrating.
On game restart they will turn on by themselves as well, even if you turned them off before closing the game.

- Yukari
Yukaris dialogue code has been completely re-written, to make a good foundation for future waifus and to implement old Yukari back. You can switch her costume in the options menu. Some more costumes are in the works for the girls *wink* *wink*.
Yukari now blinks at random with 3 different animations.
Yukari now has 6 different facial expressions.

- Wheat
Wheat has been heavily nerfed in all kitchen items. Other resources have been slightly increased. Now all should be equally balanced.

- Waifus
Abby and Ginny have been added to the game. Abby is a strong German fitness girl and ginny is Irish.

- Other
-Removed the update 6 damage control/compensation button, that gave purpstige and purple matter. I said I would remove it earlier, but left it in for a while longer. If you didn't claim it yet, too bad.
-Reworked Yukaris eye color dialogue, as I didn't like the other art and it didn't fit with the expression rework. Also removed her version with eyes covered by hair. Old version is unchanged of course.
-Decided against GoldperMinute display, as now it will not be accurate anyway with the laser. I also feel that the feeding page is cluttered enough with information and doesn't need more. Might rethink it again at a later point.

There is still a lot left to do, but that's all for now.

Operation Food to Gold - Update 8

Update 8 brings an art style re-design.

I was searching for a while, for a fitting art style and color scheme for the game, and am now satisfied with black and gold.
All windows have been redesigned with this art style. The production screens have also been sorted better.

- Added 3 more waifus.
- Changed the colors. (the previous colors were at some instances too bright, which I found to look bad and distracting.)
- Updated the buttons with the new color scheme.
- Fixed a display issue with tomato gold production.
- Made the left-side bigger to fit more buttons in.
I moved the production buttons from the feeding page, to the left side, where they follow you throughout windows changes. Previously it was annoying to switch views and get to the desired production.
- Moved all extractors to their own "Extractor" page. (it was annoying to go and check on each one, now they are all together again.)



On my to-do list:
Gold per minute display (haven't forgotten it)
Option to switch back to old Yukari.
Many other things, like fixing kitchen money scaling.
