The Night Of The Living Duck has begun | Weekly Servers Wiped



The spirit of Halloween has quite literally swept throughout the DUCKSIDE archipelago as "Operation: Night Of The Living Ducks" has been activated.

Base decorations, new hats, hat crafting, sneaking mechanics, vengeful spirits, bat infested buildings, creepy merchants and some highly requested quality of life additions have dropped just in time for Halloween!

On top of that all weekly servers have now been wiped, bi-weekly servers will be wiped alongside weekly servers next week.





Vengeful spirits of duck-like creatures have begun to haunt bases across the archipelago! Why are they here? Why do they look kinda duckish? Were they previous inhabitants of this island? Why can we make hats out of the goo that comes out of them?





With all these ghosts floating about, everyone is going to be very wary of anything that goes bump in the night, so once again, ducks have had to adapt.

Sneak silently by holding [CTRL] when moving and catch your enemies completely unaware.





While humans typically outfit themselves head to toe in spooky outfits during Halloween, duck tailors are hard to find these days, so they tend to just stick a spooky hat on and call it a day.

This Halloween, 2 hats can now be crafted at the workstation from the ectoplasm that your ghostly new neighbors drop upon extermination - A pumpkin hate and a Witch Hat! These hats can be looted from other ducks bodies if you're feeling particularly lazy.

3 new hats have also been added to the default options, Eagle, Winter Hat and Rusty Mask!





Impress unwanted visitors before they get blasted into a cloud of feathers by a shotgun trap with a variety of Halloween themed base decorations, including banners, skull lamps, tombstones and door murals!

A new system has been introduced to allow you to place decorations within your territory, and this will continue to be expanded with future updates!





Even the merchant is getting in on the Halloween fun, having decorated his abode with all sorts of spooky trinkets. For some reason he also has a serious bat infestation problem now and his eyes glow green, but that's a problem for him, an exterminator and his doctor.





Humans seem to have a new skincare routing as they are now literally glowing at night, while the spirits of ducks have begun physically leaving their body upon death, which is nice to look at, but not so nice to think too deeply about.

All Servers Wiped, Patch Live



Today we have released wiped all official weekly and bi-weekly servers. This wipe will only remove bases, with blueprints remaining and may take slightly longer to deploy on certain server regions.



We have also released an update fixing a number of reported issues and balancing some areas of the game, among other QOL additions (Such as a paint roller...)

Changelist

  • Added option to colour code storage boxes to sort items more easily
  • Fixed Steelarms server validation error(cheat)
  • Fixed enter last password issue
  • Added last wipe/last login display information in hours
  • Cactus now gatherable
  • Player names are now visible on the 5m distance
  • Trap can be placed on all surfaces(walls, ceilings) can be rotated during placement
  • Ducks cannot logout under the water
  • Added destroy effects on all destructible items(boxes, barrels, carts)
  • Changed font for the Japanese language
  • Added new icons and meshes for some items
  • Rebalanced resources that can be obtained from the train carts
  • Rebalanced the number of Military boxes depending on the difficulty of the mission.
  • Changed the amount of usual and elite military boxes
  • Slightly decreased the chance of weapon drop from crates and military crates
  • Changed nailgun recoil. Reduced Nailgun Fire Rate.

WIPE #1: Servers wiped, Blueprints Stay



Hi everyone!

Once again, another HUGE thanks to everyone who has joined the flock since we released into Early Access just one week ago. Your response to the game, feedback and support have been incredible and we can't wait to continue to progress through Early Access with you all.

Today we have released our first wipe across all official weekly servers. This wipe will only remove bases, with blueprints remaining and may take slightly longer to deploy on certain server regions.

[h3]Please note that LONG SERVERS are wiped bi-weekly, instead of weekly. The first LONG SERVER wipe is scheduled for Wednesday October 9th [/h3]
