Godbreakers Free Winter Update Patch Note!

We’re excited to share a preview of our biggest content update yet: Godbreakers Winter Update (also known as Update 2)! This free update is dropping on December 11th on PC and PS5! Adding a brand-new Archetype, a new game mode, a server browser, leaderboards, and much more! Read below to get the full patch notes for the free Winter Update.[/p][p][/p][h3]New ways to play with others[/h3][p]Godbreakers shines the brightest when playing with others, and we want to make it as easy as possible to find people to play with. Our intention was always to add a Server Browser, and now we can finally bring it to you! The Server browser lets you team up with players from all over the world. We also know some of you like to push the limits, and now you have the chance to show off your skills globally or compete with friends on the new Leaderboards![/p][p][/p][h3]New ways to fight[/h3][p]At the time of writing these patch notes, we are now at day 43 of getting requests on Discord for a Great sword... A special thanks to Discord user Omeni_ for kicking off this “movement” :) We’re happy to introduce our version of the Great Sword: the Savage Blade! To unlock this new archetype, you need to complete a set of challenges, and you can try it in our new game mode: Recollections! With Recollections, you can experience Godbreakers in new, challenging ways. In addition, The Monad has crafted three new enemies for you to fight - absorb their abilities to gain new powers!
[/p][h3]New ways to tinker[/h3][p]You can now experience greater variety and depth in our build crafting. Now, all essences have a unique trait that you can unlock! Be strategic with the essences you are stacking to unlock these traits. To further improve the build-crafting, there is now an increased number of equipment items that can appear at the beginning of a run, making it more interesting each time you start a run.[/p][p]Keep reading to get all the details of this big update, and get ready to go Berserk! [/p][p][/p][h2]Content Updates[/h2][h3]Server Browser[/h3][p]Players can now host, browse, and join open games via a new server browser! Making it easier than ever to play with others. You can now find people online to team up with and create new crews taking on the gods! We have also added the ability to view the party and kick players.[/p][p][/p][h3]New Archetype[/h3][p]Unlock the new, broadsword-wielding Archetype with the ability to enter the devastating Berserk mode. This Archetype is all about risk management, as taking damage will push you closer to going Berserk, giving your deadly swings and thrusts higher attack speed. [/p][p]Once Berserk, you can quickly regain any lost health if you play aggressively, since all your attacks now have the Leech effect. By staying in the thick of the fight and allowing weak attacks to hit you occasionally, you can stay Berserk for longer. [/p]
New Equipment Items[/h3][p]We have added new items to the Equipment list to give players more options when crafting unique builds. [/p]
Combat Challenge Rooms[/h3][p]Now there is a chance that a room in a biome will contain a timed combat challenge, allowing skilled players to earn more loot. [/p][p][/p][h2]BALANCING, STABILITY & IMPROVEMENTS[/h2][h3]Fragment Trait Visibility[/h3][p]Fragments that have a trait upgrade will have it visible on their card at all times. [/p][h3]
Essence Traits [/h3][p]Each essence now comes with an added trait that comes into effect once you have collected enough essences of a specific type.
Crit Damage Essence has been merged into Crit Master Essences Trait.[/p][p]Prismatic Essence has been merged into Manifestation Essence Trait.[/p]

- [p]Marik’s world gets the new Haymaker enemy and its Whirlwind ability. [/p]
- [p]Uhr gets the Pulsar enemy along with its Ball Lightning ability. [/p]
- [p]All biomes receive a new pinecone enemy, the Stomper, and its Explosive Ascent ability. [/p]
- [p]Rampager Elite - Gives all nearby enemies stacks of Rampage.[/p]
- [p]Artillery Elite - Occasionally creates a ring of projectiles and fires them outwards.[/p]
- [p]Armoring Elite - Gives all nearby enemies stacks of Armor.[/p]
- [p]Barrier Elite - Able to create a blocking Barrier.[/p]
New Equipment Items[/h3][p]We have added new items to the Equipment list to give players more options when crafting unique builds. [/p]
- [p]Gravity Orb - Throw an orb that pulls in and stuns enemies.[/p]
- [p]Electric Trap - Throw out three traps that deal electric damage.[/p]
- [p]Electric Aura - Create an electric discharge around yourself.[/p]
- [p]Electric Orb - Throw an orb that creates an electric discharge.[/p]
- [p]DOT Detonator - Consumes a DOT on all nearby enemies and explodes them.[/p]
- [p]Piercing Ray - Target up to 3 enemies, dealing damage and making them Vulnerable.[/p]
- [p]Doomsday Clock - Each biome has a time limit. Complete the biome before time runs out or face elimination.[/p]
- [p]Completing this tangle will unlock the Savage Blade Archetype.[/p]
- [p]Vague Portents - Danger Zones are visible for a shorter time.[/p]
- [p]Completing this tangle will unlock the Savage Blade Weapon Ability Whirling Vortex. [/p]
- [p]Gladiator’s Revenge - An extra Gladiator will appear in each world.[/p]
- [p]Completing this tangle will unlock the Bandana head. [/p]
- [p]Dredger’s Revenge - An extra Dredger will appear in each world.[/p]
- [p]Completing this tangle will unlock the Edge of Thorns appearance for the Savage blade. [/p]
- [p]Compiler’s Revenge - An extra Compiler will appear in each world.[/p]

- [p]Exposed Vulnerability - Hitting a target that has Vulnerable will refresh the duration.[/p]
- [p]Toxic Tendencies - Enemies that die with Poison will explode, applying Poison to nearby enemies.[/p]
- [p]Heat Disperseal - When Burning is applied to an enemy, a fire pool forms beneath it.[/p]
- [p]Necrotic Wounds - Increase damage on all DOTs.[/p]
- [p]Electric Touch - Spawns an Electric orb after a certain number of Chain Lightning jumps.[/p]
- [p]Potent Discharge - Explosions apply Unstable (enemies that die with Unstable will explode).[/p]
- [p]Crit Master - Chance to get a Mega Crit.[/p]
- [p]Sprinter - Gain invulnerability when dashing.[/p]
- [p]Revenge - Gain Armor after reflecting.[/p]
- [p]Manifestation - Gain 100% Source-Light Generation after using an Absorbed Ability.[/p]
- [p]Thread Count - Gain Barrier after taking 100 damage in a single hit.[/p]
- [p]Band-Aid’s Blessing - Gain Leech when going below 30% HP.

- [p]Opportune Strike has been reworked and comes with an added trait when upgraded.[/p]
- [p]Trait: Witches’ Mark: Combo Attacks deal 10% more Damage for each Debuff on the target.[/p]
- [p]Combined Torment now comes with an added trait when upgraded.[/p]
- [p]Trait: Torment Overload: When a DOT is consumed, create an aura that spreads the DOT to other nearby enemies.[/p]
- [p]Sentinel Booster has been replaced by the new fragment Sentinel Discharge.

- [p]Fiery Temper has been renamed Fiery Aura and has a larger radius and knockback.[/p]
- [p]Noxious Splatter has been renamed Noxious Aura and has a larger radius and knockback.[/p]

- [p]The Duelist’s Energy Mines ability spawns five mines instead of three.[/p]
- [p]The Twin Blades’ Assassin's Guild ability now lasts 8 seconds instead of 4.[/p]
- [p]The Reaper’s Sentinel Meteor ability description is now updated to include Explosion damage.[/p]
- [p]The Charge Attack is now considered a Secondary Attack.[/p]
- [p]Monad [/p]
- [p]Summon Archon ability now scales as intended between phases.[/p]
- [p]Added “Restart run” button to main menu and Win/Lose screen.[/p]
- [p]Fixed so that the Pillar’s Trait Seismic Capacitor gives one stack of Quake for each enemy hit with a Secondary Attack instead of just one stack. [/p]
- [p]Fixed crash in damage calculation.[/p]
- [p]Fixed a crash in the attribute widget if the character with the attribute dies.[/p]
- [p]Fix the issue where the player could get stuck with infinite absorbed abilities.[/p]
- [p]Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in the Archon aspect created by the Monad.[/p]
- [p]Adjusted some aggressive performance culling that caused certain VFX for player materials to not show up correctly on lower graphics settings.[/p]
- [p]Tweaked some collisions in the Marik biome to give a better movement experience.[/p]
- [p]Adjusted the position of Ergos in the Monad starting area.[/p]
- [p]Fixed collision in the monad starting area to better match the platform.[/p]
- [p]Fixed minor issues with several Fragments.[/p]
