We're thrilled to announce an important new update for Rogue Realms, packed with visual enhancements, quality-of-life improvements, and exciting gameplay tweaks! Let's dive into the details:

New Features & Updates:
  • Improved Visuals: Immerse yourself in a more vivid world with enhanced UI, detailed maps, revamped castle designs, and more dynamic cards and traits. The visual splendor of Rogue Realms has never been better!
  • Quality of Life Enhancements: Navigate the battlefield with ease! A new marker now clearly indicates where you move, making your strategic decisions smoother and more intuitive.
  • Localization Bonanza: We're now almost fully localized in a wide array of languages including English, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Japanese, Korean, German, Polish, French, Russian, Indonesian, Portuguese (Brazil), Thai, Catalan, and Italian. It's time for more players around the globe to join our adventure!
  • Damage Number Pop-ups: Keep track of your onslaught with new damage number pop-ups, providing clear and immediate feedback on your offensive prowess.
  • Hero Revive Timer: Stay on top of the action with the new hero revive timer, ensuring you know exactly when your heroes will be back in the fray.
  • Easter Eggs: We've added a few surprises – discover them as you defend the realms!


Balance Changes:
  • Hero Buff: Heroes now boast increased attack speed and scaling, making them even more formidable in battle.
  • Mortar AoE Buff: The mortar's area of effect has been expanded, allowing for more devastating blows to enemy ranks.
  • Enemy HP Buff: Brace yourselves, as enemies now come with increased HP, presenting a more challenging and thrilling experience.


Exciting Roadmap Ahead:

Looking forward, we have some game-changing features in the pipeline:
  • Hero Skills: Unlock new dimensions of strategy with unique skills for each hero.

HUGE Update!

Hi all,

2 weeks ago we published the first demo of Rogue Realms.Ā Well, today we bring a HUGE update,Ā and I'm going to explain all the details of what includes.Ā If you haven't wishlisted the game and downloadedĀ the demo, you can do it now from the Steam page.

1. Update Content


Procedurally Generated MapsĀ 
Every time you play the game now you'll have a different experience. The map will be different, and the tower placements as well. Feel free to explore them and reload the game as you wish.


New enemies:Ā 
  • Longbowman: Shoots arrows to our hero from far away. Very resistant
  • Huntress: Shoots arrows at our hero from mid distance. High attack but squishy.
  • Sorceress:Shoots fireballs at our hero from mid distance. High attack but squishy.
  • Druid: Heals the closest enemy missing HP (including herself).
  • Assassin: If they see our hero they will chase them and attack them. Deadly attack and auto-heal themselves.


Quality Of Live & Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where some players observed the level 2 and level 3 options when upgrading towers.
  • Allowed bigger range of Zoom
  • Added a survey at game end to listen to your feedback! :)


2. What is Next


I think this update marks a big milestone for the game.Ā I'm going to take 2 weeks of vacation,Ā and after that willĀ be working on the next update, containing:Ā

DEMO IS OUT!

Hi all,

2 weeks ago we published the first demo of Rogue Realms. Some of you might have downloaded it and played it already. If you are one of those, thanks for that! If you are not, you can do it now from the Steam page.

I'll create an in-game tutorial later on, but in the meantime, today I'm going to write a short tutorial of how to play. We'll also discuss next steps and what to expect from this game.

1. How to Play the game

Defend the castle from 10 waves of enemies in increasing difficulty that will spawn periodically. Build powerful towers and attack with your Hero to stop the enemies. Defeat the final boss and achieve the best score possible.

Instructions:Ā 
  1. Right click to move to a Position
  2. Right click an enemy to attack it.
  3. Press W or click the Weapon button to select your weapon to use and change it during gameplay.
  4. Left click into a X tile to build a tower. Choose what tower to build and how to upgrade it.Ā 
  5. Be closeĀ to the monsters when they are defeatedĀ to get hero exp. Level up to increase hero' stats.Ā 
  6. When level up or when a wave finishes you get to choose a trait to upgrade.
  7. The camera moves with your mouse, and comes back to the Hero view when holding Space. You can scroll up or down to zoom in / out


2. What is Next

Soon we'll upload a HUGE update to the free Demo with:
  • 5 new enemies
  • Randomly generated


Other priorities afterwards (subject to change):
  • TutorialĀ (in-game)
  • Full Run, where you will find different stages, and get increasing levels and difficulties
