The Winter Holiday update has arrived!

Scallywag Arcade are excited to share the news that patch 1.0.8 is releasing for Taskmaster VR! There’s been a jolly overhaul to the Taskmaster house, and Greg and Alex have gotten into the festive spirit themselves! Plus, a whole new feature and way to play the game - introducing Challenges!
- The holiday update is here! Lots of seasonal goodies and new toys to play with will transform Series Play into a festive, bell-jingling treat.
- Challenges are now available! Explore the Taskmaster house and solve plenty of playful puzzles to earn presents from the Taskmaster!
- Plenty of bug fixes and minor quality of life changes.
- Some tweaks and changes to get ready for the new year, and the next update - and it's going to be a big one…

[h3]Winter Holiday Seasonal Event[/h3]
- We all had a great time getting spooky with Alex and his Taskmonster - but now we’re feeling a little bit jollier - Series Play mode is now fully playable with the Winter Theme, with lots of new objects and tools to play with!
- We’ve added a bunch of new easter eggs and secrets to discover throughout the house, Alex and his elves have been busy! Throw snowballs, toss some logs on the fire - you can even build a snowman!
- Seasonally appropriate new outfits for Alex and Greg.
- The Winter Holiday is a limited time event, and will be ending in January - don’t miss out!
[h3]Challenges are Here![/h3]
- Explore the taskmaster house in a whole new way! The Challenges board will grant access to special, alternative versions of the taskmaster house, each with their own unique rubber duck trophy to unlock.
- Optional clues provide a difficulty adjustment if things are getting ever so slightly too cryptic.
- Complete every challenge and unlock a brand new trophy for your cabinet!
- Challenges are playful, short form bites of Taskmaster goodness, and we’re really keen to get player feedback - where could we take these next?
[h3]The Corkboard Quarters[/h3]
- The corkboard quarters have had a minor layout change to accommodate challenges and some other smaller features.
- A new television has been added to the space, and will be used to communicate the latest news, competitions and opportunities that may not be directly related to gameplay.
- Mini-Tasks have been removed, in preparation for Update 1.1 in 2025.
- We’re aware the Corkboard Quarters are starting to feel a little cramped, and some changes have been made in preparation for a refresh next year.

- Removed the Up For More Tasks? Achievement, in preparation for update 1.1 in 2025.
[h3]Other Stuff[/h3]
- Fixes to a number of materials that were not displaying as intended.
- Adjusted LOD bias and distances to improve performance and visuals when outside.
- Lots of minor bug fixes and performance optimisations.
