The Squint Got Nerfed!
Greetings, Wardens,
We literally heard you squinting at your screens. Whether you're playing on a TV from across the room, or hunched over a Steam Deck on your commute, we've bumped up font sizes across the board.
Your eyes deserve it.
[h2]New features[/h2]
The action bar got a trim, and its icons got a matching glow-up. Cleanse can now be cast even when there's nothing to cleanse, because sometimes you just want to feel clean. More importantly, this makes Cleanse synergies far more consistent to set up, so go ahead and plan those combos without worrying about wasted turns.
Hero level-ups now have a higher chance to reward abilities from the chosen class. We've gotten feedback that players want more consistency in building their party, especially for legendary abilities.
On the Chaos front, we've bumped points gained by 50% per run and adjusted Modifier unlock costs accordingly. By the time you've conquered Valor 10, you should have enough Chaos to craft a truly devious run.
Push higher, reap harder! We've also fixed several missing translations.
[h2]Balance[/h2]
Ghosts will now save their Horror Action for later. No more opening with a jump scare on turn one.
Several artifacts have been reworked from the ground up. Djinn Shackles now punishes enemies for every Debuff you stack on them, Pact of Blood rewards you with Courage when things get dicey, and Hand Mirror hands out Stealth like it's going out of fashion. Rune of Power also got the same treatment. While +100% Spellpower turns are magical, waiting for 7 turns isn't. (Rune of Power now reduces enemy spell resistance whenever you hit them)
These should enable some truly evil strategies (Archdemon Curse anyone?) and we can't wait to hear all about it.
On the enemy side, the Vortex Serpent has been significantly tamed. Tempest Fury hits softer, Bubble offers far less Spell Resistance. Common enemies also have a little less health, though they hit slightly harder to compensate, so don't get cocky.

Dev Comment: Improved readability on Steamdeck and TV? Say no more.

Dev Comment: When a player beats Valor 10 they should be able to create a Chaos run that's at least as challenging. This change addresses that, while also pushing overall progression to higher Chaos.
Quality of Life Improvements:
- End Turn button now shows the turn number.
- Combat log shows spell damage as blue.
- Enemies that move forward and then AOE around then no longer hit the spaces behind them.
Improved controller shortcut button icons.
Balance:
- Ghost can no longer perform Horror as their first Action.
- Reworked Djinn Shackles. Now applies -3% Spell Resistance every time you apply a Debuff.
- Reworked Pact of Blood, now gives +1 Courage when any hero's Health drops under 50%.
- Reworked Hand Mirror: each turn, each hero has a 20% chance to gain Stealth.
- Reworked Hoplite Bracers, can now be activated once per fight to gain +1 Hits.
- Reworked Rune of Power. Now applies -2% Spell Resistance every time you Hit the enemy.
- Reworked Robe of the Magi now gives +5 Evasion and +1 Courage.
- Cruel Tactics is now a Legendary artifact. (previously Rare).
- Tabard of the Faithful can now be used by any class.
- Buffed Legionnaire & Arbalest damage to 2-5 base (previously 1-5).
- Nerfed Vortex Serpent Tempest Fury, now deals 3-6 damage (from 5-10).
- Nerfed Vortex Serpent Bubble to 25% Spell Resistance (from 50). Removed Toughness from the ability.
- Nerfed Divine flux to 10/15% Spell Power per Condition (previously 15/20).
- Nerfed Common enemy health by ~10%. Slightly buffed common enemy damage to compensate.
- Nerfed Second Wind to heal 15/25% (previously 30/45%).
- Nerfed Energy Drain to -1 Terror & -2 Strength (previously -2 Terror).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a soft lock caused by Thorn-like effects.
- Fixed missing localizations in options, Cure conditions page & some cards.
- Fixed Tactics Chinese description.
- Fixed a bug where Hoplite Bracers wouldn't apply to Vorpal Blade's spell attack.
- Fixed a bug where Overpower would only work on 1 enemy when used with an AOE.
- Fixed a bug where Lich Skull gave an AP even if you didn't have any from the previous turn.
- Fixed abilities saying +1 Physical Damage instead of +1 Strength.
- Fixed a problem with how checkboxes displayed on languages other than English.
- Fixed a bug where Goblin Shaman Dread didn't work properly.
