Lambda Wars Update - 3.12a


Hey. It's been a while.
Didn't really have much time to work on the game, but I did during these past months. Been a long road. I've even implemented some changes that I had to revert due to some mistakes, work on other changes, then had part-time jobs, etc...

And here we are. An update. Finally.

New maps, some new mechanics and more bugfixes.



Changelog:

Maps:
- Fixed bugs.
- New maps:
hlw_skyfight - FFA, 8 players.
hlw_dump - 1 vs 1.
hlw_thicket - 1 vs 1.
hlw_canals - 1 vs 1.
- New map by Vadimhalo: hlw_uzvara (Will be released tomorrow in a patch)

hlw_forest, hlw_slums, hlw_city16, hlw_breakout:
- Updated scrap areas.
- Added fog of war blockers.

Mechanics:
- When a player is defeated, their buildings become neutral and their units die.
- Disabled "kill selected units" and "spread selected units" keyboard commands for Competitive mods
- Canceling construction now returns requisition AND scrap/power.

Fixes:
- Rebel mountable turret deal wrong damage.
- Turret no longer has infinite range.
- Scanner flash no longer affects buildings or control points.

Misc:
- Added unassigned functions for selecting economy (engineers/stalkers) units and combat units (Work in Progress)
- Added 'medaid" attribute for future use with aid stations.
- Changed sv_pure settings so players can't start servers with modded games by default.

Balance:

General changes:
- Reduced Zombie (0.35) and RPG (0.5) damage vs buildings.

Control Points:
- Control Point refund modifier now set from 0.65 to 0.75.
- Level 0 view distance changed from 700 to 704.
- Level 1 view distance changed from 1080 to 1024.
- Level 2 view distance changed from 1440 to 1280.

Weapons:
- Pistol range attack changed from 750 to 704.
- SMG range attack changed from 650 to 640.
- SG range attack changed from 500 to 512.
- AR2 range attack increased from 800 to 832.

Upgrades:
- AR2 research time reduced from 90 sec. to 82 sec.

Shared Abilities:
- Frag grenade range changed from 300 to 320.


Units:

Engineer:
- Vision reduced from 1024 to 896.

Scout:
- Vision reduced from 1300 to 1024.
- Speed reduced from 300 to 282.
Partisan with molotov:
- Reduced vision from 800 to 768.
- Molotov range changed from 748 to 704.
- Stink bomb range changed from 952 to 896.

Partisan with SMG:
- Reduced vision from 800 to 768.

Rebel:
- SG weapon switch price changed from 15/10 to 15/15.
- AR2 weapon switch price changed from 20/20 to 15/20.
- Vision reduced from 800 to 768.
SG rebel:
- Increased vision from 800 to 832.
AR2 rebel:
- Reduced vision from 1140 to 896.

Veteran:
- Changed attack speed from 3.25 to 2.9.
- Reduced vision from 1000 to 960.
- Reduced attack range from 1400 to 1216.
- Explosive bolt range changed from 870 to 896.

RPG:
- Reduced attack range from 1100 to 1088.

Flamer:
- Attack range changed from 352 to 320.

Saboteur:
- Reduced vision from 1000 to 960.
- Now can capture more buildings:

Dog:
- Reduced damage attack from 50 to 45.
- Reduced HP from 1900 to 1600.

Vortigaunt:
- Reduced vision from 1200 to 960.
- Bugbait range reduced from 3000 to 1792.

Stalker:
- Vision changed from 1024 to 896.
- Attack range changed from 820 to 768.

Metrocop with Pistol:
- Cooldown to place floor turret decreased from 120 sec. to 27 sec.
- Reduced vision from 1005 to 832.
Metrocop Riot:
- Increased vision from 800 to 832.
Metrocop with SMG:
- Floor Turret cooldown decreased from 120 sec. to 27 sec.
- Reduced vision from 824 to 768.

Combine with SMG:
- Reduced vision from 800 to 768.
- SG weapon switch price changed from 10/20 to 15/20.
- AR2 weapon switch price changed from 15/30 to 15/25.
Combine with SG:
- Price changed from 35/5 to 35/10.
- increased vision from 800 to 832.

Sniper:
- Attack speed changed from 3.75 to 3.4.
- Reduced vision from 950 to 896.
- Reduced attack range from 1470 to 1280.
- Pop cap reduced from 3 to 2.

Combine Elite:
- Increased vision from 900 to 960.
- Energy ball range increased from 870 to 896.

Rollermine:
- Can no longer capture control points.
- Reduced HP from 200 to 120.
- Reduced vision from 800 to 640.

Manhack:
- Reduced vision from 700 to 640.
- Price changed from 10/3 to 10/2.

Scanner:
- Flash effect duration reduced from 30 sec. to 8 sec.
- Flash ability cooldown changed from 25 to 20 sec.
- Reduced vision from 1250 to 1024.
- Price changed from 5/5 to 5/12.
- Constr. time changed from 8 sec. to 15 seconds.

ClawScanner:
- Reduced vision from 1250 to 1152.

Hunter:
- Reduced vision from 1100 to 1024.
- Jump ability range reduced from 1200 to 1024.
- Increased attack range from 550 to 576.

Strider:
- Increased vision from 780 to 832.
- Attack range reduced from 950 to 896.
- Cannon ability range reduced from 1300 to 1216.
- Cannon damage range changed from 160 to 192.
- Cannon damage changed from 400 to 325.
- Cannon recharge time changed from 1 sec. to 3.0 sec.
- Strider Speed ability now has a crouching animation (still work in progress though).

Buildings:

Barricade:
- Changed view distance from 1024 to 192.

Mountable turret:
- Changed view distance from 1024 to 192.

Radio Tower:
- Removed auto-detection.
- Scan ability price changed from 35 power to 50 power.
- Scan ability vision changed from 900 to 832.
- Building vision reduced from 1400 to 1280.

Barrel Trap:
- Barrels now cost 2 scrap.
- Vision changed from 1200 to 1024.
- Attack range changed from 2200 to 2176.

Billet:
- Building vision reduced from 1024 to 896.
- Cost increased from 10 to 15.
- Pop. increased from 4 to 5.

Floor turret:
- Research price changed from 40/40 to 30/35
- Build time increased from 5 sec. to 11 sec.
- Build price changed from 40/20 to 15/25.
- Health changed from 100 to 85.
- Attack range changed from 800 to 832.
- Sense distance changed from 870 to 896.

Mountable turret:
- Changed view distance from 1024 to 192.
- Changed Combine turret price from 25/10 to 20/8.

Heal Station:
- Changed view distance from 1024 to 896

Scrap Generator:
- Changed view distance from 1024 to 896.
- Reduced price from 50 to 35.
- Increased interval for power from 1.75 to 2.3.

Mortar:
- Mortar does no longer deal any damage to units inside bunkers
- View distance changed from 500 to 640.

Power generator:
- Increased power generation from 0.2 to 1.00.
- Increased interval for power generation from 4 sec. to 20 sec.
